We got married on January 17th my husband mom bought us hotel room. Our stay was on of the worst hotels we ever stayed. Dirty and gross. Because of COVID you would think they would be on top of everything. Sanitize and dust free. But NOPE Our jacuzzi left uncleaned dirt inside. In the kitchen we found wrappers and it had marijuana still attached to the paper. Kitchen was nasty we were also missing lights. I don't recommend anyone to go there. Pros: literally right next to park city mountain. You can exit the back door of silver king and you are in the parking lot for park city mountain. Close to lots of dining and shopping. Spacious rooms. Cons: the rooms are not thoroughly cleaned. We found multiple missed areas. This was concerning, especially with the current pandemic. read more

My husband and I visited Park City for our anniversary trip at the end of August this year! We had never been to Park City or the Salt Lake City area, so when I searched for where we would stay, I used Hotels.com to help narrow down the search. We stayed in a Deluxe Studio Condo. Prior to getting to the property, I was emailed ahead of time with a property guide that was very helpful. It provide the necessary information needed for check-in, parking, and much more. Check-in and Check-out were very smooth. We checked in during a time when someone was at Guest Services. They were friendly and helpful. Similar process for check-out, but instead we left our key in a drop box located in the parking garage. The Silver King has a parking garage on the lower level of the property which was great and paid for with our reservation. Parking on property made the decision to rent a car much easier. No hidden fee for parking upon arrival. The garage was operable using the room key. From our experience, we found the garage to be secure. The Deluxe Studio Condo was good, but could have been better. When we opened the door to the room, we were greeted with an odd smell. It wasn't from smoking, but we couldn't determine where is was coming from. We ended up purchasing some Febreze. It sort of helped. I think after a few days were started to get used to it, but I can't say it was a pleasant smell upon entering the room each time. I do feel that photos were a bit deceiving in regards to the overall size of the room, but there was plenty of space for two people comfortably. I cannot speak to the utensils much as we didn't have much of a need for them. But I will say our room did not have a pizza cutter - thought that would be a common item to include. Other common kitchen utensils and dinnerware seemed to be present. The bed was queen size and quite firm and pillows soft - almost too soft. Perhaps the pillows were an attempt to make up for the firmness of the bed. The bathroom was plenty big and the condo also had a washer and dryer and a pull out sofa. We did not have use for any on our trip. In addition to the odd smell in our room, the window placement was odd. We had about 8 feet of large windows leading to an awkward corner with no view whatsoever. If you like lots of natural light, this is not the place for you. Our windows were a direct view into the middle of the hotel, odd. So be aware when you need the blinds closed. Side note on the blinds, they're quite dark and there is no sheer for privacy, just blinds. Wish there was an in-between option for when we wanted some light but privately. I will say that the Silver King is a good location. Next door to one of the Park City Mountain Resort villages and about a 15 minute walk to Main Street. The area is very pedestrian friendly, at least during the warmer months of the year. Overall, our stay at the Silver King was okay, not sure if I would stay again. read more

BED BUGS!! Stay away! Room 303 has bed bugs. Had to find another place at 11pm with my 3 month old and 2 other kids. By the following morning the manager supposedly had the room checked out by a professional who didn't find anything. She said that it was probably a mountain bug or something else even though we had pictures, basically saying that it was my word against them. They did offer another room but who would want to stay in the same building. Horrible experience!! Besides the bugs the room was dark (some lights didn't work) depressing, musty, broken fixtures, non working outlets, and just dirty all round. read more

They get 2 stars for location and underground parking. The service itself was ok, so for that I gave 3 stars. I am speaking only for our room we had and not the overall hotel. We had room 320. Right away we noticed a musty smell. The decor was really old and the spare blankets were stained. I called to let them know and they said they would bring up more blankets. I had to ask what they wanted me to do with the soiled blankets, they said to leave outside the door. I also had to call the concierge to come vacuum as they don't vacuum unless you ask. They only replace towels and take trash. The first day they didn't come at allWe couldn't cook without it smoking up the place as there was not a vent anywhere in the kitchen. So it smelled like food all day. The one window in our unit which supposedly was the only one that opens was broken so we could not air the place out so we often had to leave our front door open to keep it from smoking the house. Needless to say just making eggs was a chore. The master bath was fine but the jacuzzi tub had hard water stains around the jets and was frankly afraid to use it, think nail salon fungus? I do feel bad as we were all there for a baseball tournament and all the players were often running the halls and at the pool. The pool was nice to have but does not have enough seating for that size establishment. They have showers and a sauna. They do provide towels also at the pool. For everyone else who stayed there, their units were much larger, more updated and much nicer than ours. read more

Positives: Stayed here last weekend and loved it. Room slept 6 people (only says 4) Room was wonderful. Service was good. Had underground parking which was really nice (get there early for guaranteed parking) it's a 5 min walk from ski resort. Indoor/Outdoor pool that's connected and a nice hot tub. We have stayed at the Silver King Inn before but this will be our last time staying here. Our unit had a terrible smell that seemed to be coming from the garbage disposal. In the pictures, the views were great. In reality, if you open the curtains, anyone walking past can see into your bedroom. The hairdryer started smoking. I was extremely disappointed with the fact that they claim to have a fitness room but you can not use it until 8am. We have stayed here in the past when it was open at 6am. We are here to ski and sometimes like to get a weight work out or use the treadmill when we get up. The ski hill opens at 9 so having the fitness center open at 8 is ridiculous. I was told it was a "safety" issue. I am 50 years old and have never felt "unsafe" running on a treadmill. The fitness room should not be listed as an amenity if it can't actually be used when guests want to use it. We will be looking for other places to stay. read more

We stayed at this place during the off season for a long weekend. Good rates. The location of this hotel is nice - it's about a 5 minute drive to the main downtown area - so very convenient yet kind of tucked away. When we went to check in there was no one in sight, so I had to call the front desk number, which was odd (that's never happened to me before ). But, hey, it's the off season. The hotel was cozy. We ended up with a room that was clearly being rented by the owner- full service kitchen, fireplace, and nice sofa to hang out in. Basically the ideal hotel room set up. Our TV didn't work and while we were out one day they came by the fix it after we told the front desk. Overall, great experience and would stay here again. They had covered parking and ski storage as well. Nice spot! read more

When staying at a hotel, your first impression is the check-in desk and the quality of service that you received. Needless to say, mine started out poorly. I felt as though I was bothering the lady at the check-in desk by staying at her hotel. I must've stayed in a room that was not recently renovated, because it was old, dirty and unsatisfactory. The only reason I gave it a two star instead of a one star, is because I am trying to be nice. They need to do a renovation on their units very soon, or their occupancy will be even lower. I will not be staying here again, nor recommending it to anybody unless you just need a place to stay. read more

THE POSITIVES. Location is across the street from the parking lots at the bottom of Park City Ski Resort. The hotel has decent wifi and a free shuttle service. THE NEGATIVES. All but a few of the hotel windows are blocked by larger buildings on either side. Despite the bright and sunny photos posted online, our view was brick and mortar. Our "Luxury 3-bedroom Condo" was dark, depressing and dilapidated. The hotel looks as though it was built in the 1970s and has not been updated. The appliances and furniture were old, outdated and uncomfortable. Housekeeping made our beds and freshened towels each day, but never cleaned the bathrooms during our four night stay. The front desk was poorly trained and unhelpful. I give the Silver King Hotel my lowest rating. Lots of bang for your buck! The wife an I stayed at a single suite that could comfortably lodge 4 to 6 people. Full kitchen, two bathrooms, two flat screens, chimney, all for around $150 a night. Granted, it was early in the ski season (early December) but still great value. Walking distance to Park City Mountain. Covered parking garage. I will definitely stay at this place in my next visit to Park City. read more

Up here for the 4th and this place is old and nasty. We had to go buy our own pillows because the ones provided by the hotel are disgusting and covered with God knows what. The Silver King shouldn't be called a hotel, it should be described as a time machine. As soon as you walk through the front doors, it's like you're magically transported to the 80's. It's like a museum of artifacts from the late 20th century. - complete with grey woodgrain paneling, track lighting, and what looks like the actual couch from the show The Prince of Bel Air. In fact, the microwave in our room might have been the very first model ever invented. All joking aside, the hotel is ideally situated near the ski resort in Park City. If you aren't familiar with the area, keep in mind that many hotels that you'll find on travel websites will often times suggest hotels down in Kimball Junction or Heber City (which are both about 20 minutes away). The Silver King is situated a bit too far from Main Street to walk, but an economical cab ride will get you there in no time (just don't pay more than $12, they may try to charge you more). The hotel is very outdated, but you're paying more for the location than the hip decor. We went during Sundance, so we severely overpaid for our room (hence my heightened feeling of cynicism). Fantastic hotel! Walking distance to Ski Resort and Golf Course. Park City buses stop just across the street from hotel. Less than a mile to the Old Mining Town of Park City with it's amazing restaurants, bars and shopping. Hotel has an indoor/outdoor pool, jacuzzi,and workout room. We stayed in room #316 which was clean, well decorated and fully equipped (it is pictured on the All Seasons Resort Silverking Hotel web site). Even had a jacuzzi tub! Front desk staff was very friendly and all the employees were very helpful and nice. We will return! read more

We stayed a few nights in July and got a nice room for a great price. Prices are much higher in the winter. Comfortable bed, decent TV and a good sized kitchen area. I had trouble with the oven not working tho and no one ever did come by to fix it. The location is great. We love walking over to PC Resort and taking the ski lift up the mountain to either hike down or ride the Alpine Slide. We love Park City in the summer. read more

I want to rate this ZERO stars. DO NOT STAY HERE unless you like run-down and not clean. We paid almost $150 on Priceline for a dumpy studio room with old furnishings and smelly bedding. The room overlooked an indoor pool which was supposed to close at 10pm. At 11:30 the noise was so bad we called the front desk. They never answered. Ever. (They state they are open 24/7. They aren't.) It was still going on at 2:30am. At 4:40am a woman screamed, Don't throw me in!!! He did. The air conditioning roared all night, struggling to keep the room cool, not easy because of a partial glass ceiling/skylight so we also couldn't get the room dark to sleep. We considered leaving in the middle of the night. Morning came. We went to shower only to find the water which was barely warm wouldn't drain. Hubby got his shower in about 4 inches of water. I skipped it. Not happy. A total nightmare. Nobody there cared. Could have stayed in much nicer places for same or less money. read more

Came with several familIes. We all booked one bedroom rooms, paid same rate. Our room is not a one bedroom, it's a living room and a den. So this means we cannot use the TV or have a normal conversation since our kids are sleeping on the pull outs in the living room, basically defeating the purpose of having a one bedroom unit. They did not disclose this at booking and they charge the same rate as for true one bedroom units. This is fraudulent and dishonest. Extremely unhappy. Would not recommend. read more

After a horrible experience at our original location, we found a safehaven here. We asked for a room with a kitchen (coming from a condo and having already purchased a week's worth of food). The room was phenomenal!!! High ceilings, nice decorations and view, solid construction (so no noise, even with kids in the hallway nearby).... everything we could have hoped for. The pool was very nice, and the gym was decent. Added bonuses: garage parking (which is extremely hard to come by in this area of Park City) and multiple "living" areas around the hotel. Although the hotel may not look great from the outside, the interior is significantly nicer. Ann at reception was amazing!! read more

We stayed here for a week with my family, its affordable and the view in our room are just right in front of the Park City Mountain Resort. The rooms, kitchen and bathrooms are clean. The front desk person are very friendly. The reasons I gave them 3 star, no housekeeper scheduled to refresh our room, unless you have chase them outside the hallway. It would been better if everyday need to refresh our towels and empty our trash. read more

While this property (rm 312) isn't quite as new or modern as some hotels, it is very charming, cozy and in a great location near the beautiful slopes of Park City with a real fireplace (at least one starter log provided in winter). The walk out sliding glass door looks out to both a nice shade tree and slopes. It is within walking distance of the Alpine Slide/Alpine Coaster and Zip line and some great restaurants and shops. It isn't on Main Street, which makes it a little quieter, but it is pretty near to it. The bathtub is a wide, deep jacuzzi tub that 2 people could fit into, but it isn't double wide. The bathroom is divided into a showering/toileting room and a vanity area with a second sink and mirror. There is no daily maid service, but you can get extra towels and things at the front desk. The kitchen is fairly well stocked with dishes, utensils, glasses, cooking utensils, pans, fry pan, salt and pepper, paper towels, dish soap, wash cloths, towels, cutting board, cutting/steak knife set and other kitchen items. There are full-sized appliances including a dishwasher and a washer/dryer. The fridge has an ice maker and there is one down the hall with a soda machine as well. The bed was comfortable and just adjacent to the wood burning fireplace. The couch needs updated due to rips near the top zipper, but was otherwise okay. The TV worked fine and a CD player is included. There is a large armoire and 4 person table as well. A digital clock is included too. Great place! It may not be "as good as it gets' 5 star like I gave it, but I think it deserves a 4.5 star. :) read more

We rented a 2 bedroom condo with a hot tub and were sadly disappointed when we arrived. It was so dirty and gross. I have a baby and didn't even want her to crawl on the floor. We moved the ottoman and there were Cheerios, a sock and toys from previous guests. I would not recommend this place. read more

We have stayed at the Silver King Hotel several times because we like the proximity to the slopes. We made reservations back in December 2015 for a week-long ski trip at the end of February. We reserved a one bedroom premium unit. We also had friends who were going to join us and they reserved a premium studio unit. I called the front desk of the Silver King several weeks before our trip to see if we could be on the same floor as our friends. I was told we were both going to be located on the third floor (which I was very happy about) and I was also assured that the unit assigned to us was very nice. We have discovered after several stays here that the units can vary as they are all privately owned. The premium units are generally updated with granite countertops, upgraded fixtures and appliances. When we arrived we were assigned a room on the fifth floor. Our friends were still assigned to the third floor. I asked why we were switched and the clerk at the desk really had no good explanation other than that they claimed an inability to guarantee a specific room or floor apparently. We went to the room and immediately sensed a problem. The temperature of the room was about 80 degrees with no way to cool the room since during the winter time only the heating is activated. We were told to open a window. The heat was due to a giant skylight through which the sun was beating in on us. I knew I would not be able to spend another day in that room. I went to the front desk to discuss options to be moved to another room. The desk clerk told me they were fully booked and only the manager could make changes and she was away from her desk for an indeterminate time and was also not answering her phone since it was on her desk. Meanwhile, I began to question whether or not we had actually been checked into a premium room. The counter tops were laminate, the fixtures outdated. I questioned the front desk about this and again was given no answer. Two hours later, the manager had still not returned and we had not unpacked. Our friends had arrived by now and had checked into their quite nice premium room. Desperate, I called hotels.com as I had originally booked the room through them. They apologized profusely for the confusion and told me they would contact the management of the Silver King. It was only then that I found out the real story. Apparently there was a water leak in the property and several guests had been moved to other rooms. What was so disturbing about this is that Silver King never contacted us to let us know what had happened and in moving us to a different room, downgraded us from premium to standard and never intended to refund us the difference in price. This I found to be completely unacceptable. If we hadn't been familiar with the property and the rooms we would never have known what they had done. Once all this became known, the manager agreed to move us to the premium one bedroom that we had originally booked although we couldn't move until the next day. We had to live out of our suitcase for the first night. Silver King never attempted to compensate us for the inconvenience although to the credit of hotels.com, they did give us a $100 credit to be used for a future reservation. The appeal of the Silver King is the proximity to the slopes but you never know what kind of a room you are going to get. Make sure when you check in that you are getting the room that you paid for. read more

So this place is VERY outdated. We stayed in the middle of July 2019. Our AC didn't work so we slept terrible. We asked for an extra blanket and were brought a mattress pad (no lie). They say they have an arcade but it was 3 gumball machines. Kids were in the pool well before 10am which makes for an awful wake up call when your room is right by the pool. No complimentary laundry soap and when we asked for some the front desk said they were all out. The reason for the two stars is a Good location and decent TV channels. I'd spend the extra money next time to stay at the mountain resort instead. read more

Pretty much sucks in a nut shell. Cancelled apparently inside the 3 days of arrival(2 1/2 days) , but instead of the 20% of reservation value, apparently the hotel charged or added us 4days before we walked in. I got on the web site "prior to the day of arrival" (their cancellation policy), again 2 1/2 to 3 days before arrival, we got charged for not even showing up, and even with the wife calling up to WTF, charges were not refunded. read more

My friends and I all stayed here for a night. Before checking in we found a 3 bedroom room online that was like $40 cheaper than the 2 bedroom that we had booked. We tried getting swapped rooms and the girl at the desk just kept making excuses ect. We get to our 2 bedroom room and none of the trashes had been emptied although we had to wait longer to check in because the room was being "cleaned". That night we called down for extra blankets so that my friends could sleep on the pullout since we didn't get moved to the three bedroom room and there was literally no one working the hotel. THEN I went and got in bed and I look down and there is blood on the comforter as well as a little on one of the pillows. This was my second time staying here and the staffing was just as bad as the first time so I will never be back. read more

Took my boyfriend here for his birthday the room was nice however it was so hot in there so we turned on what we thought was the AC left to go eat came back and was even hotter. So I called the after hours front desk about the heat and they said they would send maintenance right over to our room to take a look. Hour later still no maintenance so I called again she said again she would send maintenance right away again. 15 min later maintenance showed up and said they don't have AC in the rooms. You can imagine my reaction when they say there is no AC how the heck is that possible.... we slept with our sliding glass door open and we were still hot and turned the fan (connected to the heating system) off because it was just making the room hotter. It's fall and the weather is cooler but the rooms were ridiculously hot. It was be fine for winter season. But what about the summer season? read more

Stayed here during the off season to go fly fishing on the Middle Provo. Stayed in a nice studio with a full kitchen and bathroom. These are condos, and they are nicely furnished. Nice pool and Jacuzzi, a few blocks to downtown, right at the base of the ski mountain. No onsite restaurant, but plenty of choices nearby. Off season is very inexpensive, during the season it's very expensive. read more

We decided to get in one more trip to Park City before the ski season was over and went up for Park City's closing weekend. Had a great time up there and stayed at the Silver King. We were in one of their 1 bedroom units and it was NICE!!! Our room had been recently upgraded with a large kitchen. The room itself was huge with plenty of space for everyone. The staff was super friendly, pool was nice and even got into the workout room. The Pay Day lift was only a 2 min walk across the parking lot. Had a great trip and can't beat the location! read more

Older property, conveniently located. Beware there is very little parking. If you park in the big parking lot to the north side of the building your car will be towed after 2:00am! The front desk staff was deceitful. She said park in the north lot.. But didn't say don't park in the north lot on the north side of building. Be warned. I bet they own the tow company! read more

I've been to this hotel twice, and have been happy with my stay both times. I came here for a local leadership conference, and stayed for 3 days all together. The first room we stayed in was small, but nice. It had one queen sized bed, a huge couch, a lazy boy rocker, a small kitchen with a bar, a small table in the living room, and two bathrooms. Four girls sharing two bathrooms for two days did not go over well! Our second stay was much better! We had a HUUUGE hotel room, and only 5 girls to fill it! There were 4 different rooms with 2-3 beds in 3 of the rooms, and in the biggest room (The room I called dibs on) had a huge amazingly comfortable queen bed in it, and it's very own bathroom. In our whole hotel room there were 3 bathrooms available, and 3 TVs. Sadly, we only got to spend one night in this amazing room. The Silver King Hotel is in walking distance of a 7-11, and several places to shop. There is even a bus stop incredibly close by in case you don't feel like walking. I hope I can go back someday. read more

We had to request maid service to empty trash and replace towels after 3 days - and then again on day 5 when they did not leave pillows or blankets for pullout couch. My in-laws had a room that looked like it was renovated Would NOT recommend unless you are sure you are getting a renovated room. read more

Worst experience ever! After check-in, we loaded up all our luggage into the elevator in the underground parking. We spent over a half hour stuck in that elevator. When they could not get it open, 911 was called. Finally the doors opened and there were fireman, maintenance men, and either front desk/or management standing there. Not 1 person asked if we were ok or made any attempt to apologize for what had happened. They just told us we would have to carry everything up the 5 flights of stairs to our room. When we tried to talk with them, they really had an "Oh well" attitude and just walked away. Seriously didn't believe this was happening! We then had no bedding for our sofa pull out bed...that we had to go back down the 5 flight of stairs to pick up because they were "too busy" to bring it up. Then had a broken toilet the entire stay....even after calling to ask them to come look at it. Could not use the toilet without opening up the tank and fixing the rubber plug so it would hold water and flush. Really bad experience. read more
