Bottom line: A good little store and gas station with lots of variety for the small layout…read more However, the unstocked/non-shelved inventory cluttering the little space they have could to be stored anywhere else but the walkways/corners and the register counter space so there is space to walk or even select what you need. Great regular staff. Once they clear out the very excessive clutter blocking the walkways and register area, this little store will be rockin' it The Deets: I bring myself here to say a few words on somewhere I frequent, almost every day...The Han-Dee Hugo's on Gregson Dr. in Cary just inside MacGregor Park. These guys are A-OK, but there are a few things worth mentioning that hopefully will be constructive feedback. Being just as you go into a corporate office park, they are very convenient for those going/coming from work. Great location. However once inside, there are a few things you run into. Literally. This station is very small. Compounded with a very crowded overpacked layout, it's difficult to navigate. There is actually an overabundance of unshelved stock stored in the very limited open space of the store, making it more crowded and hard to maneuver in. In fact today, there was so many plastic storage bins and stock packed in front of shelves I could not get into the products I wanted to pick up. Hopefully there will be a solution soon that can take that unstocked merchandise in an alternate area (?build an outside storage building?) that can clean up and give back the limited space they have available. However it's even so crowded at the register counter area with products and items to try to sell that there is hardly any room to place the items you want to purchase down...definitely overcrowded even at the register space and it is frustrating. To their credit, they have a good variety of products to offer for such a small store (thumbs up for 40g protein drink Muscle Milk being offered). And they have friendly and efficient staff such as Gloria (she always has a smile and is so efficient to get customers checked out and on their way). .

OK, so maybe they should call it a convenience store instead of grocery, but so what? They have…read morefood, even if it's mostly snack food. Upon entering there's a case by the door filled with every type of Good Humor frozen treat you can image. Then hang a hard right past the Bimbo baked treats to all the soda, incl lots of Mexican sodas, banana being one of them, and lots of sports drinks too. The other side of the aisle is every chip under the sun you could want. Next onto the candy aisle where I was happy to find one of my favorites that's hard to find anywhere in the Triangle, a Zagnut candy bar. It's toasted coconut on the outside and filled with peanut butter inside. Kind of like a Chick-o-stick, but better! The U-Haul stuff is all in the back area of the place. What else they had in the store I don't remember as I was satisfied to find a Zagnut and was ready to leave. Check this place out. It's not bad as the reviews are portraying it to be and the guy at the check out counter was very nice.

An odd store. It's called a grocery store, but it's more of a convenience store. Sort of…read more If the definition of groceries includes cardboard boxes and renting trucks and dollies to move those filled boxes, then it's perfectly named. Otherwise, don't expect a traditional food-grocery store. Center Street actually worked well enough for me. I wanted a soda, but didn't want to stop at a gas station or a supermarket. I was in and out of the store in less time than it would have taken me at either of those places. Don't be thrown by the inside. It's seems almost empty, with a few coolers on the right side, with more than the usual types of drinks, an aisle of snack foods, a few single-serve canned items, and a microwave in the corner to heat them with. On the left side are the ready to be assembled boxes, the dollies, tape, string, and all kinds of moving supplies So I guess Center Street is a grocery store, after all. It has everything you'll need for a busy day of moving, from food to truck rentals.
