In this section of Dorchester, it's kinda rough and the upkeep of buisness properties is not typical. Once my gas tank was full I ventured inside for a few snacks. The owner came from behind the counter to assist me, as some items were not yet tagged with their selling price. He explained the differences in the boiled peanuts and although this may seem pretty and minuscule, it showed me that this guy cares about his customers.

I drove my soapy car around to the store entrance and encountered one of the least helpful employees ever. The employee said her name was "Kay", but she said it with a smirk, and I'm not certain that is her real name. Mind you, she was looking at her personal cell phone for most of the encounter and barely made eye contact. Me: Hi, the car wash stopped working, my car is full of soap and I need a refund. Kay: We don't give refunds for car washes. Me: My car is fully soaped and I'm afraid it will damage the paint. Who can give me my money back for the service I didn't receive? Kay: You have to call the number. Me: What number? Kay: That number (points to a sign on the entrance door). I called the number which announced the customer service line closes at 5:00, so I listened to the voicemail prompts only to find I could not leave a message. I hung up. Me: Is there a manager or regional manager I can speak to? Kay: No. Me: How about the number of a manager I can call? Kay: I'm not giving you my manager's number. Me: I don't mean a personal number. When many of us were out of power, they had plenty of coffee ready for us and snacks. They regularly have donuts and other gas station style food. A small coffee or a Big Gulp soft drink is only 79 cents, cheaper than the competitors. The staff members were nice and handled the long line patiently. Gas prices are a little expensive for West Ashley, but the store is nice and I'd consider stopping for coffee or snacks.

You drive into a parking spot and have access to two vacuums to do general cleaning and also get in the hard to reach places, loads of really useful microfiber towels, glass cleaner sprays, air gun to blow out stuff in air vents and such, machines that wash & dry floor mats (pretty good too!). The staff was kind, helpful and friendly (I had an issue getting my car onto the rails and they were patient, nice). I'll be back! Oh and the tire shine that never does a thing in most drive thru car washes actually made my tires shine. My little old car needed that pick me up.
