The owner was extremely nice and engaging, he took the time to explain how the concept works, give suggestions, and make small talk while we were waiting. I chose the Alfredo sauce which is the only sauce they do not make fresh in house. The food itself was good, the garlic bread was freshly toasted, as were the croutons for our salad. One downside is the cost of up-charges, the cost of adding a protein was bordering on unreasonable, adding a bit more garlic bread was too. In the end we had one meal (with protein) garlic bread (1/4 loaf) a Cesar salad and two drinks and it was pretty close to the same cost of going to a sit down dinner. One other downside is this is strictly takeout. There were no tables or places to sit and eat, so it makes it difficult to use as a quick lunch break spot. TL:DR - Good food, great service, but costly if not feeding a family/group, take out only.

Told the manager that this was unacceptable considering the price and repeated specific requests. He insisted he personally took it off the grill and packaged it- I SAW the worker doing it, and leaving it in the bin for several minutes! I told him it was cold, that I knew food service since working in it and this was totally unacceptable. Received refund for the "meal". Attempted to notify BK HQ Contact on the issue, it turns into a long questionnaire for the purpose of sales promotions, no real response at all. BK outlets appear to get, at best, 1.5 stars overall. THIS IS ENTIRELY DESERVED.

Burnt ends are usually the highlight of a barbecue meal, crispy outside with juicy, tender meat inside. These were just dry chunks with no caramelization or flavor payoff. The sausage didn't help things either. Overall, nothing about the meal felt homemade or smoked. It felt mass produced and rushed, missing the flavor and texture that make barbecue special in the first place. What made the experience even worse is the price. Spending around $40 on a pound of meat, expecting quality barbecue, and getting dry, bland food instead. For that price, you expect memorable barbecue, not something you regret ordering halfway through the meal. The food was so disappointing that I ended up throwing most of it away and going somewhere else afterward just to get a decent meal. That's something I almost never do, especially after paying premium prices.
