We have been purchasing MyFitFood products for years. Yesterday we were told that as of October 1st we will have to pay $10 per month or $100 a year to keep our discounts. Not a membership mind you, just to keep the savings. This is to combat customers giving out their info to others who are not eligible for the discount, such as friends, and family. Now we are thankful for the discount and know they don't have to provide them. We also know a business is in it to ultimately make money but this is a little absurd. I believe this is inherently wrong to charge people for a discount. We have never given out our info to others and agree people should not do that, but we shouldn't have to pay to keep our discount. Especially since there are other ways, better ways to handle this problem. When a business provides a discount it should be seen as a "thank you" and "we appreciate what you do". Not be a "thank you but please pay us for being thankful toward you". Instead of providing better training for their employees, I.e. ask for IDs at purchase, or simply just remove the discounts all together they decided to take the money grab route. That's what this comes down to. I say no to greed. We enjoy the meals but refuse to give in to this line of thinking. We will get our meals for the last time next weekend and will not purchase a meal from MyFitFoods again until they get rid of this policy. There are plenty other competitors that we enjoy to get premade meals. Hope others will follow. You shouldn't have to pay to keep a discount, it defeats the purpose.
