Cicero Ave, Midlothian, IL 60445. I went to Pump #9 to purchase gas and selected the $7 Express Car Wash. After fueling, my receipt showed I had been charged for the $15 Deluxe Wash instead. I immediately went inside to speak with a cashier and requested the difference be refunded or adjusted. The cashier explained they did not know how to do this and called for assistance. A woman named Patti (I am unsure if she is a manager, as she never introduced herself) came to assist. She did not acknowledge me, walked past me, and only after the cashier prompted me to follow did she address the issue. Patti used her card at the pump, stated that the system does not allow for selecting options, and told me I had selected the $7 wash myself. When I explained again that I had not and requested the refund difference or the correct wash, she refused, saying, "I'm not fixing it." I reminded her I am a regular customer, and she responded that I "should know how the pumps work," before walking away. When I asked for the corporate contact number, she did not provide it verbally but pointed to the door where the 866 number was posted. This was one of the most unprofessional customer service experiences I have ever had. I am requesting: A refund of the $7 difference between the wash I selected and what I was charged. An explanation of how this error occurred. A formal apology for the poor treatment I received from Patti. A review of this employee's conduct, as her behavior was dismissive and unacceptable. When I called to speak with a manager about our experience....the person that answered the phone hung up on me. While visiting this gas station, I decided to grab snacks for the long drive back with my sister. While doing so, the employee came from behind the register and yelled "honey, honey, honey,honey...are you purchasing that with an EBT card?!" He didnt ask anyone else this question, just me. I responded "Why?" Then he made a face and shook his head as if I bothered him. I gathered all my things and went to register and said...."I'm using a debit card. Do I look like I'm using a certain form of payment which doesn't matter unless your machine is broken and don't call me honey". He didn't say anything. Then he shook his head and whispered "f'in nigger" I'm above this type of hateful nonsense so I waited patiently as he rung me up. Midway through the purchase, he told me "One of these candies is 3 for 1....go get 2 more". I told him "No ring me up". He had an attitude then finished my purchase. I left. My sister decided to go in and grab a snack and use the restroom. She came out within 5 minutes. When I asked her what happened, she said she picked up an item to read the ingredients to avoid eating dairy and the employee shouted at her "Honey honey what are you doing? You can't read the ingrediants" she questioned him and brought the box of the snacks to him and said "these are ingredients and you are telling me I can't read them?" He said "no you can't read them" She put the item down and asked to use the restroom. He responded "the restroom is broken". This place can't be avoided because it's one of the few in the area. Just be aware of the customer service and do not be afraid to report these people or stand up for what is right.
