Competitive gas prices. Nice little carryout. Kind of off by itself behind the airport. Okay service.

For those of you who don't know they usually only have walleye during lent and when it's gone, it's gone. Big upgrade from cod so the choice was made. No cheese please. It came out screaming hot , plump, juicy and not greasy. But of course, it had cheese as did my partner's sandwich who also ask for no cheese. We chowed down anyway and it was still delicious. Do order a slice of lemon to season the fish with, it does need a touch of acid. Sometimes I think there is a conspiracy toward me and fast food places regarding cheese. I love cheese. I just don't like it with chicken and fish! These folks behind the counter weren't very friendly. The young lady who took our order heard walleye sandwich and stopped listening. I know that because her ticket did not say without cheese. So you can't blame the cooks. Get that Walleye soon before they run out'

Carey Hilliard's Restaurant in Garden City,Georgia…read more We had a lovely lady recommend Carey Hilliard's restaurant from our hotel at Iris Garden Inn in Savannah, GA. -We started going into the employees only door, only to realize it was a side entrance. Proceeded onto the front entrance. -It was very welcoming and felt like a great locals hangout restaurant. Tyler the host was extremely friendly and was very polite. Made us feel like regulars. Thanks Tyler! -Onto our server Yolanda, words cannot express the how great she was! Never needed to ask for anything! She was on top of her game. We order a buffet of food to share. As we were there for our Anniversary. -The Salad with Grilled Chicken and Swiss cheese w/ bacon was tender and juicy. Yum! We also had fried pickles, which isn't my thing but my man loves fried food. He said they were great and hot as in the temperature. We also got the pulled pork sandwich with the twice baked potatoe. The pork was perfect with the quality, quantity, sauce make it a home run! Had some of the twice baked potatoe later for a midnight snack. It was awesome! We also got the club deluxe with at least 1/2 pound of meat; ham, turkey, and bacon had cheddar as well as normal lettuce and mayo. We did ask for the mayo on the side. Which I knew Yolanda had taken our order correctly because she released it back and the order was also place on an electronic "tablet." Therefore a minor mess up in the kitchen. Yolanda asked if she could replace the club deluxe and we insisted to her, "no, it was suitable for us to eat, as we are not allergic to mayo, we just added xtra honey mustard to cover the mayo taste." We REALLY hate to waste food. That's why we didn't send it back. Plus we devoured that sandwich! Of course our eyes were bigger then our stomach, so therefore we had plenty of leftovers! *****To summarize this review, I would personally rate this wonderful restaurant 5 (stars!)***** Thank you so much for make this evening a most memorable and enjoyable evening for us! -Mad Props, Carey Hilliard's!!! Our food was DELICIOUS , the service was SPECTACULAR, and the price didn't break the bank!

The flounder was ok but overwhelmed by the rest of the meal. And hush puppies needed to.be fed to mmm a starving dog! I won't be trying them again.

10/10 - A Must-Stop Every Time I've been coming here ever…read moresince I was little, and it's one of those places that never disappoints. Every time I'm anywhere close, I make it a point to stop, and this trip was no different. I was driving back home to North Carolina and had to make one last stop because it's just that good. The food is always fresh, hot, and packed with flavor. The sandwich was perfectly toasted with fresh ingredients, plenty of parmesan, and an amazing sauce, and the fries were cooked perfectly. Everything tasted just as good as I remembered. Service was a 10/10 and wonderful seating options MUST GO!!!

Even after the 2021 rebrand, it still held on for a while, but something in the last 5 years at the main office has completely lost touch. They expanded to three locations: ; downtown, Tybee, and Hilton Head, and in the process the whole identity fell apart. The menu has been gutted of its originality. The "OG" items are now overpriced, portion sizes have been cut in half, and the original sides that made it special are gone. What used to be a simple, order-and-sit-down experience is now chaotic. You're herded in by an overstaffed but somehow still disorganized team of high-turnover employees with zero consistency and very little emotional intelligence. There are always way too many staff for the number of customers, yet service somehow keeps getting worse. Last night was the final straw. We tried the Tybee location first, waited 30 minutes just to be seated, only to be told they were basically out of everything and could only do drinks. So we drove to downtown. Same exact thing. Out of sausage. When we asked if we could just remove it or substitute it, we didn't get a simple no, we got an "absolutely not," because apparently everything is pre-mixed and nothing can be adjusted. Even worse once we sat down. It took 15 minutes just to be asked for drink orders. A different server came over, introduced himself like we were starting fresh, and then got visibly annoyed when we said we'd already ordered water and a soda. From there it just kept getting more awkward. At one point he bumped my cup while I was literally lifting it to my lips and told me to "watch out" while he was placing food down. He took forever to check us out and finally bring our soda to go, and ended the night by saying, "just so you know I'm faster than the other girl," like we were in the middle of some weird staff competition we didn't sign up for. On the outside it still looks like a fun Savannah staple. But once you sit down, you realize you're no longer a local guest, you're trapped in an overhyped tourist operation that's completely lost what made it good in the first place.
