Mini sliders - I'm talking hot dogs too, how cute!! Slys has minature burgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, and BBQ and it's perfect if you're someone who likes to try a bunch of things (aka me). You can even try split orders of their sides like fries and onion rings! I recommend the mini hot dogs especially the Chicago dog and the garlic fries!

A fun little spot with great variety of sliders! The Boardwalk was a basic cheeseburger with pickles and ketchup. The patty was delicious. The Bullet Club had a nicely fried piece of chicken breast on it. The Uncle Reuben was good, tasted like a typical Reuben sandwich. Pulled pork on top of the loaded fries was very tender and flavorful. The fries were a little overcooked for my liking. I believe fries cut this way are easily overcooked. They also have slider dogs, which I would try next time.

These little sliders pack a punch!! The pawful of falafel was my favorite, followed by the Buddha burger. The flavors in these were large and wonderful! Pain don't hurt was also delicious, but the burger was pretty well done. I would still order it again, but would ask if they can't cook it less. The fries were seasoned well, and cooked perfectly. The salad was as basic as it comes. Lettuce, onion, and tomato. It all tasted fresh, just uninteresting compared to everything else. The venue is pretty large! Way larger than it looks from the outside. Everything was clean including the bathrooms and there was plenty of seating. The person who took our order at the counter, also delivered the food. She was super helpful, efficient, and friendly. She answered tons of questions (for us and others), gave great suggestions, and didn't get overwhelmed when things got busy. Well done!

The line was to the door and all tables were full. The food is very good so this is expected but I hope one day they are able to expand to a larger space. The food took a while to come out so don't come if you're in a hurry, but if you have the time to wait, the food is definitely worth it. Will be coming back to try more sliders.

We were visiting Savannah and we wanted a local, affordable place to eat on our last night in town. Sly's was an incredibly pleasant surprise. The food was fresh and delicious. We actually went back for seconds it was SO good. The staff and owner were super warm and kind. This place has a low-key, welcoming vibe. If we lived in Savannah, we would be regulars! Highly recommend! Seriously, go eat here!!

Really friendly service and a cool concept at Sly's Sliders! This was a really fast, delicious and affordable snack for us, but still a solid place for a full meal as well. The Cowgirl hot dog was my favorite for sure - cheddar cheese, tobacco onions, bbq sauce & jalapeños. The fries were hand cut and so perfectly crispy. I would absolutely come back here and highly recommend stopping in if you're in the area!

Deliciousness is all I can say! This place is always a great go to when you want great food at a reasonable price. There is a variety of seating inside and outside, which is great for a warm day!

I wish I lived closer, as I loved this charming little place. We parked on a side street and walked around to the entrance. You really need to be paying attention, because if you blink and walk by, you will miss it. Once inside we approached the counter. The lady who was working the counter, I wish I had gotten her name, was so friendly and answered all of our questions. I ordered two sliders and one slider dog. My sliders were "The Boardwalk" and "The Jerk Store" and my slider dog was "The Cowgirl". I got all of my items as is, I wanted to experience them as they were intended and honestly, they all had great toppings already. My wife and I split a large order of fries. I also opted for a local beer. After a very brief wait, the very nice person who took our order, brought out our food. It was now time to dig in. I started with "The Boardwalk." This was just a very good all around American slider. It had nice soft bread and was cooked perfectly. Next I went in for the slider dog, "The Cowgirl". MMM, now this was quite the little dog. Those tobacco onions, and that fresh jalapeneo worked so well with the cheese, the BBQ sauce and the hot dog. To wrap things up I finished with a trip to "The Jerk Store". What an adventure, you really taste everything listed on the menu, and it all balances each other out. This was truly a great slider. The fries were cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. They season them with thier own blend of spices, which they sell. I did steal a bite of my wife's sliders, "Buddha Burger" and "Pain Don't Hurt", these are not items I would probably order, but after trying them I loved them and would totally order them. They both had excellent flavors! There is plenty of seating available. You have the main area when you walk in, which is small, but there was a sign point you to another dining room for additional seating. I loved this place, I think it was a great value and will for sure return the next time we are in Savannah.

My son & I got a classic slaw dog , the board walk , the bullet club, and the mr chow and the basket of fries! Everything was really good! We did dine in. It was really nice inside. Art is hanging on the wall. I believe they are for sale if you would like to buy them. My only complaint about this place is parking. I had to park on the street. Be careful because I did get a $30 parking citation. Even though there wasn't a NO PARKING sign. But other than that definitely would recommend.

We came back a few times, and noticed that that quality of the fries has decreased. Today was the best they've been in a long time. The fries have changed in shape as well. I used to say this was the best place to get fries in Savannah, hopefully whatever they have changed sticks around. Still a go to when I'm in the area. The options for small bites is great, and they have a pretty good selection for beers and non alcoholic drinks.

This place is delicious! Food was fast and so flavorful. The fries couldn't be better. It was so good my six year wanted to leave his own review below. From Ryder Food was quick and good but I didn't like my drink I'll give it 5 stars. I loved it so much. It was great. The end

Before our trip, one of my fraternity brothers told me that if I wanted some of the best Southern soul food in Savannah, I had to visit Mrs. Wilkes. He also warned me that there would be a long wait. Let me just say--he was absolutely right on both counts! We arrived at the restaurant and stood in line outside in the rain. We didn't get seated until 1:00 PM. Normally, I would not wait that long for a meal, but for the record, and I can't believe I'm saying this--it was worth every minute of the wait. The experience was unlike any restaurant I've ever visited. My wife and I were seated at a large table with approximately eight other people whom we had never met. Yet within minutes, it felt like we were dining with family. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and filled with genuine Southern hospitality. The food was simply outstanding. Every traditional Southern dish you can imagine was brought to the table and passed family-style from person to person. The home-cooked flavors reminded me of the meals many of us grew up enjoying. Everything was delicious, and the desserts were just as impressive. What made the experience even more special was the sense of community. People of different backgrounds and races were dining together, sharing food, conversation, and fellowship. The staff worked together seamlessly and went out of their way to make every guest feel welcome. While we waited in line, a gracious lady shared the history of the restaurant and the legacy of Mrs. Wilkes herself. The staff even provided umbrellas to guests who didn't have one--including me--which was a thoughtful gesture that spoke volumes about their commitment to customer service. From the food, to the hospitality, to the rich history and unique family-style dining experience, Mrs. Wilkes Dining Room exceeded every expectation. If you're visiting Savannah, this is not just a meal--it's an experience. I proudly give Mrs. Wilkes Dining Room a 5 out of 5-star rating and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Savannah.

The hospitality is off the charts. You need to come early at least a half hour as the line quickly grows. You sit and eat family style. The host will assign you to your table with others to fill it up. 8 to a table. There is sweet tea waiting for you and dish after dish of goodness! Then they bring out the fried chicken on platters. 21 different bowls of southern dishes- okra, rutabagas, greens, beans, corn, biscuits and corn bread.... Oh my there was a lot. You will not go hungry as the staff are near each table and bringing refills of items needed. Then when you've had your fill, they bring by peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream on top and/or banana pudding! They take cash or check only. They thankfully had an ATM inside. But the man at the cash register said we could leave and go to our own bank if we wanted and come back to pay!! That wouldn't happen at very many places. Southern hospitality, great food, memories- it is all here. Don't miss this place when you come to Savannah!!

Looking back, we probably should've kept right on walking. We ordered the fried chicken, potato wedges, red rice, New Orleans rice, and cabbage, jalapeno cornbread and pecan cornbread. Unfortunately, the only things we actually enjoyed were the fried chicken and the potato wedges. Once again, it was an epic fail. The cabbage tasted like it had been boiled in plain water with absolutely no seasoning. Both the red rice and the New Orleans rice reminded us of Minute Rice or Uncle Ben's microwavable rice--bland, lacking flavor, and nothing like the rich, seasoned rice dishes we were expecting. The fried chicken was crispy, juicy, and well-seasoned, and the potato wedges were cooked perfectly, but those two items weren't enough to save the meal. We came hoping for authentic Southern comfort food, but left disappointed. Sadly, this is one restaurant we won't be adding to our list of places to revisit.

To share amongst the table, we ordered the cinnamon toast banane and crispy gouda grit croquettes. Thumbs up on both, particularly the croquettes which were the right balance of gooey and structured enough to eat with the delicious sauce on the side. The cinnamon toast banane was not so much toast as cinnamon rolls with bananas foster; the cinnamon rolls were really tasty and the bananas foster was good, though the bourbon flavor was strong. For my entree, I ordered one of the lighter vegetarian dishes - the mushroom tartine with tomato soup. I think it is one of the lighter dishes - certainly lighter than what my dining companions ordered - but it was still quite rich with a fair amount of gouda fondue in the tomato bisque soup. Because of that, I came in with fairly low expectations, but I left thoroughly impressed. The restaurant has a fascinating history and a great atmosphere, but what really stood out was the quality of the food. We started with a couple of appetizers, and every one of them was excellent. For our entrees, we tried the shrimp and grits and the fried seafood platter. The shrimp and grits were exceptional. The sauce had incredible depth of flavor, the grits were perfectly smooth and creamy, and the shrimp were cooked just right--tender, delicate, and never rubbery. The fried seafood platter was equally impressive. The white fish had a light, crisp breading that enhanced the flavor without overpowering it. The fish itself was moist, flaky, and cooked perfectly. The fried oysters practically melted in your mouth, with none of the graininess that fried oysters can sometimes have. The fried shrimp were outstanding as well--so good that several people at our table couldn't resist stealing a few from my plate! Our server was fantastic. He offered excellent recommendations, described each dish in detail, answered all of our questions, and checked on us regularly throughout the meal without ever being intrusive. We also enjoyed learning about the restaurant's history from a tour group that passed through while we were dining. Before leaving, we browsed the gift shop, which had a nice selection of pirate-themed memorabilia at very reasonable prices. Overall, this was an outstanding dining experience. Decided to take our chances and dine in by walking in. There were plenty of seats. Hosts greeted us, but we're not very friendly. Got seated immediately. The table we were at, maybe I was sensitive, but the light that dangles from the ceiling onto the table was not low enough and aligned with our eyes. Uncomfortable honestly. Our server was very quick, you can tell she wasn't trying to work that day. Cornbread was complementary, wasn't very tasty to be honest. Extremely dry, even the jam was helpful. I opted for the New York steak with fries, nothing wow. My boyfriend got the award-winning house fried chicken with pecan sauce on the side. It was pretty good fried chicken, but not something to always come back to. Honestly, we were very disappointed because this place was very overhyped. I'm glad I tried it, but it's not something that I would recommend because it was mediocre.
