The fried hush puppies were also pretty bland, and there are definitely other spots that do both much better. The standout items, outside of the drinks, were the bean salad and cucumber salad. Both of those had the seasoning and flavor we were hoping for, and we genuinely enjoyed them more than the main dishes. We came during happy hour, and that ended up being the high point of the visit. The watermelon lemonade was delicious, and the piña colada, while not included in happy hour pricing, was exactly what we wanted. Both drinks were well made and definitely not light on the liquor, which was a major plus. So, would we come back? For happy hour drinks, yes. For the salads, maybe.
