I can't comment on any interaction with the employees because I have yet to go inside. I pull up to the gas pump, insert my Shell card and pump my gas. No human interaction required. They tore down the old gas station plus the closed Days Inn next door then built a new convenience store, gas pump island, car wash and KFC and reconfigured the main entrance from N. Monroe to eliminate RVs and trailers getting their bumpers stuck trying to make the steep climb. I can say that the new gas pumps are easy to use, the car wash is a fail for my vehicle and having the KFC in the parking lot is convenient. The gas prices are ok but my nearby Circle K stopped selling Shell gas when they built their new store so this is now my regular gas station.

Now that I mention it....isn't that a fire hazard? Anyway, this Dollar General is pretty large in size and not over loaded with unorganized inventory. The staff are always friendly and helpful and visible just in case you have a question or concern. Here you can find great deals on everyday buys. Be sure to download the app to your smartphone and get the digital coupons. These help to make already inexpensive products even cheaper and an added plus for manufacture coupons if you don't get the Sunday paper! Take note of a frequent coupons for $5 off any purchase of $25 or more. (TIP: Be sure to have the cashier take this coupon off PRIOR to any manufacture coupons.) Yesterday I asked for a key to the bathroom from the lone cashier and she handed me one to the mens room. Fortunately a different employee was back there and said it was fine to use. Later, when rounding a corner, a merchandise post scraped my armed cutting it. At checkout, when I told the same cashier about the incident, she didn't respond so I repeated myself. She said "I heard you" and kept ringing up. She was so awful that the customer behind me loudly said "RUDE!" Such a shame that a paid employee has zero consideration for customers much less having her employer's back. A small child could seriously injure their head, the liability is there waiting to happen. This is a WALL of unsafe conditions. I'm posting a picture of the prongs from the side, they need to be taken care of it and the cashier shouldn't wear a necklace with her name on it if she wants to behave this rudely.

I had seen a beautiful sweet bread product on a tray in the center of the bakery that apparently had just been taken out of the oven. It was a cinnamon bread circle with what appeared to be some kind of syrup drizzled over it. I asked if I could get THAT one but was told there were some of that product behind me on a product table and that it had cream cheese on top of it. I thought that was an acceptable improvement over a plain cinnamon bread product. So I turned around and looked for it and found it. Another baker person, a younger lady, walked up to me and suggested that I put it in the oven at 350, maybe 450, and let it sit for about 5 minutes and it would be delicious. So I bought it. After heating it and cutting into it, I realized quickly the bread was beginning to stale... the outer edges JUST DRY.' As much as I love cinnamon bread, this was barely edible...just the center. The rest was no good. So it was a draw between them succeeding to sell a stale product and NOT selling me the product I actually wanted. Laziness? Publix sales goals? Either way, Im swearing off Publix bakery.

Needed some manchego cheese from Spain to try to replicate the best grilled cheese on sourdough with fig jelly spread recently had a hotel stay and surprise surprise!! The deli had exactly what was looking for.I even learned that you can leave the cheese out for 15 minutes and it will soften more before you grill. Great tips from their deli!! They are positive, helpful, and genuinely seem to care about their customers. They go out of their way to help. From their patience at Eat's Southern Cooking with a large order during their busiest morning time to one of their checkout clerks helping me to my car with my order, they make my visit a pleasure. That, in turn, makes me pass other closer gas stations to get to this one! In today's negative customer climate, thanks for your awesome customer service! While I'm on the subject, Eat's Southern Cooking is a gem. Located within the SunStop, they serve a traditional buffet-style country breakfast and lunch that is superior to many regular restaurants. From their egg casserole to their fried pork chops and fish, the entree selections encompass everything you could want and more! If you haven't tried it, you don't know what you are missing!
