    Cayenne Chicken sandwich
    Jeremy S.

This location just opened 2 days before my visit. They have been extremely busy since opening. Despite how busy they were inside and in the drive-thru, service was very fast. They offered a free chicken sandwich if you joined their rewards program and downloaded their app. I took them up on this offer. I got the Cayenne Ranch Chicken sandwich, Mac and cheese, and a sweet tea. The sandwich was excellent overall. The cayenne ranch sauce is amazing. It is not too spicy. Just the right amount of heat for me, and I do not like spicy. I ordered my sandwich without the crispy onions and Lettuce. I will definitely order this sandwich again. The Mac and cheese was good for fast food. Better than other fast food places. Their sweet tea is great. Not too sweet, just right. This location is a short walk from my office, so I will return. My coworkers are enjoying it so far as well!

Okay! So I came here for lunch with my husband with literally no expectations. We ordered our food at 2:18 PM and didn't get our order until 3:04 PM. We ordered (2) 6wing combos and a 5&5 combo (5 wings and 5 tenders). What I'm going to say is that they definitely have some kinks that they need to work out. I feel like when they opened/built they didn't expect the crowd they had. The drive through was wrapped around the building so we opted to go inside and order. It was a bit hectic because where the door is in relation to the registers, there isn't much room for the row they had. The young lady took out to-go order and we went over to get our drinks. They were out of their Peach Tea, as well as the Diet Coke. The young lady made us a new batch of peach tea but we waited, and waited and waited some more until we realized that many of the people who came in after us had already gotten their food and left. After waiting almost an hour (no exaggeration) the food was not even hot, which was a HUGE disappointment. We'd probably go back, but I'd give it some time for them to work out some kinks before we do.

If I didn't see the previous reviews I would've thought it was their first day open. my initial impression was when I turned in the back, where they have a entrance sign, and seeing it was a one way, and having their employee in the pink jacket sitting by the dumpsters a little after 1 pm call me and the other customers dumb asses, and blind even though we were turning around. After getting in I it was very cluttered inside, and not really any room to move due to the layout, so wouldn't recommend dining in or coming in if you're worried about COVID or something. I believe it took about 15-20 minutes to get the food, and it kind of took me awhile to hear for my order, since despite the cashiers giving us little signs with our numbers on them they were calling out the meals ordered, instead of the numbers they had on the receipts, also I didn't like how it seemed that they didn't have a drink machine behind the counter, so the cashiers were constantly having to go through the already crowded area to get drinks for the customers in their cars. But as far as the food, I got the chicken tenders and fries, the chicken tenders and bread were ok, and the fries were really plain. What I really hated though was the sauce, I had the slim sauce since it's their signature sauce, but it was more like a tomato paste of some sort with no taste really. I literally held it upside down and it wouldn't drip down. I imagine if the sauce was good the rest of the food could've been good, but that was a fail.

Waited about 30-35 minutes on a rainy Saturday night. I was actually waiting for a the rain to past which prompted me to get in the line. I went on the line on the outside and it moved appropriately. Once I actually ordered it was only about 5 to 10 minutes before I actually made it to the window and I was able to get my order. The staff was very gracious. I ordered the kids meal with chicken tenders, a wing meal and a crispy chicken club sandwich. I upgraded one side to the mac & cheese instead of fries and one drink to a milkshake for an additional 1.99 each. My entire meal for three came to around 30 bucks. Everything tasted good. It might have been better had I eaten it right after getting it versus riding another 15 minutes back to the house. The mac & cheese was just OK as well as the fries were quite bland as others have said. The sandwich was pretty tasty. I enjoyed the tenders and the wings as well, but nothing overly special. Sauces were solid too. I tried the honey bbq and honey mustard. I would return based on the fact that this is a black-owned establishment and there are other items on the menu I'd like to try. The Oreo milkshake might've been my favorite part of the meal. I really give them more like a 3.5.

Probably not the best we've had. The wings were TINY and the wrap was not very flavorful. Not planning on going back.

The lady at the counter was super friendly when we came in! The prices here are pretty good for a meal consisting of a meat, rice, 2 sides, cornbread and a drink. If you're a student, there is a $2 discount off of lunch and dinner plates from noon to 5pm. There is a $1.50 charge for using a card, though. I got the Stewed Chicken dinner plate with Mashed Potatoes and Corn Casserole as my 2 sides. It's a bit of a wait for the food, but it looked like there were only two people running the whole operation by themselves. Everything comes out in a to-go box, but there is seating and TV entertainment available. The moment the stewed chicken entered my mouth I was in love with the flavor. It's a bit too salty but goes really well with the yellow rice, which was recommended to me by the lady at the counter. They didn't skimp on the stew broth either! I love when there's potato skin in my mashed potatoes but I wish they were a little creamier, and the corn casserole was really sweet which complimented the chicken stew really well. The only part of my meal that I wasn't a huge fan of was the cornbread, which was really dry. My friend Marley got Fried Chicken which took longer to come out, and when she ate her corn nuggets she said, "That's a good corn nugget." I tried one too and it was indeed a good corn nugget. I'll be back again for lunch!

They have a limited menu of sandwiches, breakfast plates and a few soul food style meals. I ordered the fried pork chop sandwich and home fries. It came on a pretzel bun with lettuce, tomato and a lemon thyme mayo. The pork chop itself was well seasoned. My server forgot the mayo, though which made the sandwich dry. I also asked for the fries to be crispy, and they were not. It was only the second day for brunch, so I understood. They had a vegan fried green tomato sandwich, so they accommodated me by letting me order just the tomatoes as a side. I didn't taste any salt and it was twice the price of other sides, so I wouldn't get that again. They also have bottomless mimosas. The mango flavor was delicious! The waitstaff was very nice! They sang for my friend and chatted us up. Our server was struggling a bit to keep our orders straight. Overall, give them a chance. Once they work the kinks out (and add a salad PLEASE), it will be great!

When I read the email announcing tonight's Chef's dinner, we couldn't resist. No one, and I mean NO ONE, can fry an oyster better than Chef. Perched atop a great classic--deviled egg with bacon bits--the oyster was tender with a light batter-fried coating. Chef's duckfat cornbread drizzled with just the right amount of avocado butter provided the perfect podium on which two blackened shrimp lightly dusted with a hint of subtle spices rested. If you know me, you know I don't like my food to hurt me, and this dish met my requirements with a whisper of, "Here I am." Now, my hubby doesn't like anything with coffee, so he was worried about the hickory smoked chicken with espresso molasses BBQ sauce. However, he admitted the sauce didn't have any hint of coffee and, in fact, it was a delicious complement to the chicken. As for the pancetta Mac 'n' Cheese, its creamy cheesiness balanced out the smokiness of the chicken. Chef Joseph often offers one of his Pot de Crème varieties to finish a meal. I always look forward to them. Tonight's Pineapple White Chocolate version was a perfect finish to a perfect dining experience. Sparkling wines and summer--the perfect pairing. We also had the flash fried artichokes; recommended these 100%. There were little strips of red bell peppers mixed in and note, when I say "flash fried" I'm talking a lite dusting of a flour batter and super lite fry...no grease. Dinner entrees consisted of the birthday boy ordering the filet, au gratin potato and asparagus. Three of us had the flounder that had tomato confit, artichoke, hearts palm, olives and mandarin oranges. The filet was cooked perfect and extremely tender with the sides paired perfectly. The flounder was exceptional and no plate was left with a morsel to be seen! The dessert menu was hard to choose from but we settled on brownie with sauce and vanilla ice cream and the raspberry cheesecake. Add in a couple of after dinner coffees/espresso the meal was perfect. This restaurant is small but not elbow small. Aiden was our server and he did an awesome job; efficient, attentive without being overly hovering with a great sense of humor. We will be back!
