I'm compelled to review this largely because it is a Petro station, and so this is a shout-out to the quirky layout of ALL Petro stations in the GTA (Greater Tallahassee Area). quirky layout? - Oh... - I'm talking about the dual-sided gas pumps located in the PARKING LOT right up by the front door. I can't think of anything more decadent that that for a gas station - a feature that permits you to park up front - gas - and ponder what those poor saps at the run-of-the-mill pump islands 10 yards away are doing... For the ultimate experience, I enjoy the Petro on Orange myself - a gem of a station, and always on the way to & fro your flights.

The prices are similar to that of Whole Foods, Fresh Market and Earth Fare with the exception of the meats. I saw fresh seasoned catfish filets and large jerk chicken thighs for under $5. I will definitely be back to stock up on meat. I'd also like to try the hot bar. You can get a platter of side dishes for $6 or a main entree with two sides for $9. Today they had vegan stir fry and vegan shepherd's pies as the vegan entrees and about four other non-vegan entrees. The produce looked fresh and was also reasonably priced. I look forward to really shopping there when I need to stock up on fresh produce and meats.

Inside you will smell delicious gluten free and preservative free sausage. People come from all over the country to visit this store and to try their famous tractor milled grits. We took home hot pepper sauces and several preserves . They were so friendly here from the guys in back serving sausage dogs and links to checkout. Walking around the store is nostalgic for old time items like RC cola and small games from the 60s. Out on the porch are 4 rocking chairs and by the lake are places to picnic which we did with my parents who said they felt they were on vacation since it was so peaceful. Will definitely make a return visit when come back to Tally!

I can see why people drive from all over the state to pass the canopy roads to get here. The staff were very helpful in explaining what they were serving in the back of the store. They even had locally produced honey and milk in glass jars. After purchasing some merch to take home we sat on the picnic tables close by the lake . Poor lighting somehow makes the place feel unsafe. But the customer service is great. The store prides itself for giving you what others can't. First store in the city to offer the Peach Ciroc. I knew places in Atlanta that didn't have the stuff. And Seminole had bottles sitting on the shelf. (Until I tweeted about it). I bet the clerk a bottle of wine the bottles of Ciroc would be gone in a night. I WON! (But that was also because it was the weekend before Miami vs FSU). I called Market Square and they said they couldn't get it until the big corporate company signed off on it and they have no estimate on how long it would take. (sounds like bs) If you want something - they will order it! And almost every comes in within 3 days and fairly priced. It biggest down is the size of the building and the parking lot.
