It has taken us awhile to get here for the first time but it won't take long for us to get back. Everything was delicious including the pickles on the side and dining in was enjoyable and comfortable. We visited during that in between time after lunch and before supper so it was pretty empty. The dining area is very large and could accommodate a lot of people during busy times. Seating is comfortable. You order at the counter and they bring your food to you. Service was attentive and friendly. Our food came out pretty quick but then there were only two other tables occupied. We tried 3 of their chicken salad offerings: Classic, Lemon Basil and Fancy Fran and I am happy to say that all 3 passed the picky eater test. Prices seem reasonable for what you get. They also have a cooler with quick pickup for the various chicken salads. We are already thinking about loading up the cooler with chicken salads for a relaxing time at the coast. read more

Sign says they open at 11am but multiple customers were standing outside waiting for the restaurant to open. Good food, decent customer service and the restaurant looks clean. Here is why I knocked down two stars. After placing your order, the cashier asks, "would you like to leave a tip??" Then you have to verbally tell her the amount of the tip you'd like to give. If you thought tipping on the iPad screens was awkward, this makes the tipping process even more awkward. I have no problem tipping, but this experience of asking for tips is just strange. Always a pleasure dining here! Service is fast and always welcoming. I tried something different at my most recent visit. The ambiance here is also nicely lit and clean feeling. I hadn't been to a CSC in a while, and I believe this was my first ever visit to this location. Surprisingly hard to find real salads. It's almost entirely just chicken salads, and when we tried to spend some time looking at the menu, the lady up front was rude and looked irritated the whole time. Tables were all dirty and not being cleaned up either. Also they waited 5 minutes after we ordered to say they were out of a food and then when we asked for a refund they said that they just thawed it out from the freezer. The egg salad was good but I should have asked for the croissant to be lightly toasted - just a personal preference. The chicken salad was smooth as was the pimento cheese. My eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach as a 3rd scoop of anything became a tough challenge to handle. As we were on a road trip, it would not have been a good idea to take anything to go. This is one of the first places that came up and boy was I glad I chose it. As I walked into the place I noticed it was very clean and tidy staff is very very friendly the food was delicious and the price you cannot beat. I heard about this new restaurant on Thomasville that mainly sold chicken salad from some coworkers and decided to try our Chicken Salad Chick with a friend. The restaurant is extremely bright and floral, I feel like if anyone is having a bad day they should walk in and almost immediately they will feel better. We got to front desk and our server told us how everything worked and what people usually like. Basically you order a base chicken salad and can have different things put into them. After you can get them in a one scoop, a bowl, or a sandwich. I ordered the Classic Carol to see where it all started, the Jalapeño Holly and the Jazzy Julie. I like spicier foods, so I figured I'd go all the way. The salads came scooped on a piece of lettuce with 6 packs of whole wheat crackers on the side. Not a lot for $8.59, especially if you are low carbing it and staying away from the crackers. My daughter had the Original Chick sandwich on a hoagie roll. She ordered the Fancy Nancy and enjoyed it very much. She also ordered mac-n-cheese as her side and said it was good. The salads were firm, very firm, with good flavor. I probably liked the Jalapeño Holly the best. By the time we ordered drinks, the bill was over $22. I wish they would have a laminated nutrition guide at the counter or post one. Now don't get me wrong, they have some pretty decent chicken salad and in lots of variety to choose from but you barely get any chicken salad on your sandwich. My croissant sandwich was made up of Kickin' Kay Lynne (buffalo sauce, ranch, cheese, bacon, and jalapeno) chicken salad, tomato, and lettuce. The croissant, tomato, and lettuce made up most of the sandwich with a meager and depressing looking half-inch of chicken salad smeared in the middle. Accompanying your bread sandwich, you have several choices of a side (fruit, broccoli salad, pasta salad, chips) which were alright. You also get a cookie which looked and tasted like someone just slid it out of the Keebler Cookie Bag. When one goes into a place called Chicken Salad Chick, you would imagine the emphasis would be on the chicken salad which should be thick, chunky, and nearly spilling out of your sandwich. I cannot get fully on board with a chicken salad restaurant. I know I'm not the ideal customer, but after two tries, I have still yet to find a menu item I'm moderately pleased with. The trio of chicken salads is a excellent way to overdo it on chicken salad so that you won't want to see it again for months. Even broken up with the pimento cheese stuff (which is, as I found out at my table, not a chicken salad at all, just a large gleaming ball of cheese), the trio is too much of an "ok" thing. The pimento is tasty, so tasty that I returned to work with most of a too-large ball of cheese sitting uncomfortably in my stomach. Do yourself a favor, and if you insist on the trio, share it with a friend. I like the taste of the buffalo chicken salad, and if I had realized it sooner, I would have ordered it on a sandwich, but the menu doesn't really indicate that that is possible at first glance. The menu has a list of sandwiches on the back that say "For Those Of You Who Have Been Dragged Here By A Chicken Salad Lover And Are Refusing To Try Something New", and the references to "any sandwich" elsewhere on the front of the menus apparently means chicken salad sandwiches, and are not specifically limited to the sandwich section on the back. I guess I could have assumed I could just order a chicken salad sandwich, but I wanted a sandwich so I ordered the "Original Chick" with a sandwich off the back menu the second time I went. The roast beef sandwich was uneventful. It was slightly worse than the most boring roast beef sandwich you could make at home. The bread was a desert. Thank God for the refreshing pickle wedge. I would probably have given this place four stars if I had realized in the first two hurried attempts to order in front of a long lunch line, that I could get a buffalo chicken salad sandwich on a croissant, but I'll have to order that the next time my coworkers drag me in. read more

In all seriousness, my husband and I love this place! My favorite for years has been Fruity Fran because I don't care for nuts. They recently added pineapple and I approve. :-) My only complaint is that when they first opened they served these yummy homemade cookies with their meal (snickerdoodle anyone?), now they are packaged.
