    Lump Crab BLT

We've lived in FL & haven't been here before! What is wrong with us? Why hasn't someone told us about Circles before now? Wish we knew about it sooner. From the moment we walked in we knew we were going to be in for a great experience. It is overwhelming when you arrive. So many different venues with different names. Very confusing at first. But the staff were helpful, friendly & explained they're all the same place just different areas of appeal. They have a beach area, typical dining areas, intimate cove areas, and bar areas. Well done on atmosphere! DH & I came for dinner around 6 on a Sat evening. We figured we'd have a wait but they seated us within 20 mins of arriving. We asked to be seated outside with a water view. They don't disappoint. Our waiter was fantastic. Always tentative and remembering the little things. To start DH ordered a beer. It was served & cold. I ordered a Mojito which was ok, nothing special. For dinner I got the Lump Crab BLT. Don't expect big lumps of crab meat. The rest of the ingredients are a hint of flavors & that really made it great. Beware, it is a delicious but very messy sandwich. The side salad was a hit. Very fresh & flavorful. DH ordered the Tenderloin Steak Sandwich. He was very happy with the flavor. It was not dried out and had a good seasoning. His side of fries were good too. The atmosphere can't be beat. Walk around & check out all the areas.

Great waterfront restaurant with delicious food and attentive service! Highly enjoyed stopping here for lunch and enjoying the views and food. Outdoor seating has fans and misters so you aren't overly hot as well as umbrellas and shade from the trees. Lunch specials everyday.

Will return for food and the location. The service is as usual: so so, cold and slow. We've: * Fried calamari * Salmon * Grouper * Fish taco * COD sandwich * Coral reef pasta All are very good. Their chunky marinara is wonderful (not sweet), and so is the calamari. The salmon is fine. The service is cold and slow. A lone receptionist was on the phone for a long time before getting to us. Our server was slow while other serving staff were chatting loudly by the station near our table. The surroundings are enchanting. Tight park spaces.

Decided to stop by after taking a boat ride and it was absolutely wonderful. There wasn't a wait for a table for 4 and plenty of seating. Zippy was very attentive and help with our drink and food options. We had appetizers, drinks and an entrée each. Out of what we selected, some was more enjoyable than others but very nice portions size and flavorful. The ambiance was great! Will definitely go back for drinks and other menu items.

Stopped at Circles with a friend on a little Apollo Beach girls day and oh my gosh I'm so glad we did! The food was BOMB! Staff were attentive and so wonderful and you really absolutely cannot beat the view here. This is such a gorgeous place to sit outside and enjoy some incredible food. And we did just that! The virgin daiquiris were also completely amazing and everything you could want in a fun drink.. not to mention HUGE! I'm still thinking about how good the spinach dip was.

Beautiful view, great atmosphere especially on a nice evening like it was during my visit. But that's when all the happiness and magic ends for me. This is my third visit in the last two months, all with friends who wanted to dine here. My wife and I were so disappointed the last two times that we just decided on appetizers tonight which was a mistake. We ordered an order of the crab cakes which barely tasted like they had any crab meat inside. Having had crab cakes from all over the globe I know that these were subpar. If you've ever had Baltimore crab cakes then you'll understand. Then we went with the mussels and they arrived at the table cold, not under the heat lamp warm but sitting off to the side cold. Even when they took them back to warm them up, they were still horrible and we didn't even get half way done before we just gave up on them. The service was okay but other than the view, atmosphere and ambiance this will be my last visit here. This place is always crowded so maybe it's just us.

Came for a late lunch by the water after visiting the manatee viewing area, we were just searching for spots nearby and chose correctly! Started with the lobster dip: big chunks of lobster in a warm, cheesy dip with a crispy toast that gives a great crunch and works perfectly for dipping. I had the crispy cod sandwich -- a big, hearty sandwich. The fish was perfectly crispy, the slaw adds great texture and balance, and the fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The lunch menu had a good variety of options. One of my friends got the surf and turf and had great things to say about it. Solid good choice if you're looking for a solid spot by the water!

I chose Circles because of the view and vast food choices. The front desk feels like a hotel lobby. They greeted us and sat us down quickly. We sat on the patio because we wanted the view however it was way too cold and the heater just wasn't doing it for us. They were so accommodating and switched us to the bar area on a high table and chairs. We were happy their. We ordered the Crack is Whack Shrimp which were delicious. The sauce is really good. They had a nice crunch and I wanted more. I ordered the Cod sandwich. If you look at the picture I attached you will see that the piece of cod was bigger than the buns. No complaints there. The slaw and sauce all complimented each other. This was a very tasty sandwich. The fries were hit and crispy. The Signature Grouper and Scallops were just as delicious. They were both seasoned to perfection. The asparagus was a bit overcooked. The rice was good too. The waitress showed up for ours drinks, food order and food delivery but after that we didn't see her for a long while. However, we were in conversation that we didn't notice until we were done eating. Overall, the food was a 10/10. The place was beautiful. The service was just okay.

This is our second visit in a couple months and we brought a friend. We sat inside this time by the window, enjoying the beautiful view. We also realize there's some gorgeous local artwork inside. We all had sangria and it was yummy. For appetizers we had the sesame chicken poppers and the artichoke cheese dip. They were generously portioned and tasty. Our server AJ gave us some really good recommendations. He was very helpful and attentive without being intrusive. I had the sweet heat grouper and my two dining companions both had the Italian chicken pasta. We all enjoyed our dishes. We also saved room for dessert. We had the crème brûlée and the chocolate decadence or whatever is called. The desserts were top-notch. Definitely will be back here. Fine dining at a beautiful setting.

Circles was pretty packed, but the location has a large amount of options when it comes to seating... You can sit at the bar area that's 21+ you can sit on the beach area by the stage, you can sit under a covered area that also is outside, or you can opt for their inside dining. They do not offer reservations, but the wait was about five minutes. Our server was very kind and tentative. She was very great. My only complaint was that she did not verbally let us know about the specials... So we completely missed out on a menu until after we had already started ordering our apps so we ended up ordering more because what we actually wanted was on that specialty menu (NOLA BBQ SHRIMP and CRAB BLT). The grouper bites are amazing. I love their tartar sauce. It comes with a pickle base. I also loved the New Orleans barbecue shrimp. It was arguably the best thing I had all night that was on the menu. We missed out on the first round of ordering. The drinks are strong, but very good. I would go back for apps and cocktails. We all ordered the grouper sandwich, fried and blackebed. My family was upset with the fried as it was not crunchy/croepy. My blackened grouper sandwich looked amazing, but was bland... I had to dress it up with salt, pepper, and lemon juice. The crabcakes had so much potential, but they tasted a little too fresh with a little ocean flavor. The signs all around the property are hilarious. I love them so much. I also enjoyed the painting and murals around the bar.

    Michael L.

Service was great, ambiance speaks for itself. Food was cooked perfectly. I enjoyed the company and the weather was great. Felt like I was eating at home if I had an oceanfront patio. I would definitely return.

Initially, we asked to sit outside and it was really nice at first. The breeze and fresh air in the shade were definitely 10/10. But as the afternoon went on, the sun got much hotter and the seagulls became absolutely VICIOUS LOLL, so we ended up asking to move inside. The staff were so accommodating and let us pick whichever table we wanted, which I really appreciated. Now onto the food, WOW was the first word that came out of my mouth the portions are HUGE. There were a lot of great options to choose from, but I ended up getting the grilled lobster mac and cheese. The portion was HEFTY. I ate so much, yet it still looked like I barely made a dent in the bowl lol. The flavor was good, but it was saltier than I expected, and the more I ate, the more noticeable the saltiness became. I didn't catch the names of my friends' dishes, but they all really enjoyed their meals. Overall, it's a great spot with amazing views, generous portions, and great service. I'd love to come back again in the future!

She liked the red potatoes and said that next time she'd do a double order of them. We also go a pound of bay scallops which were delicious. Not overly seasoned and cooked perfectly. I had the fish & chips and I received two nice size pieces of cod, it wasn't overly battered or seasoned and it was very fresh. Service was pretty good, our server was very friendly and helpful, but they seemed to be pretty busy so he didn't come around too much (which we also appreciated, as it was just enough space and attention). Food was better than I expected! All of the dishes were well-cooked and flavorful, the drinks (mango margarita) were a bit strong but loved, and nothing was too salty or too bland. We started with a dozen oysters which were very fresh and slightly chewy (different from northern oysters that I usually have), then had the cod, crab cakes, and snapper, all with well-paired sauces and great sides (the snapper was slightly overcooked). Everyone got complimentary sunset shots as the sun was dipping towards the horizon, and we finished off with a giant slice of key lime pie (that we couldn't quite fit in so we took back because it was too good to waste). If you've seen many of my hundreds of reviews, I love me some Key Lime. Look, I became hungry just thinking about a slice. Regrettably, this Key Lime was disappointing in taste. The rather larger crust could've been outstanding, but alas, it too was plain. My daughter enjoyed her chicken salad but didn't like the salty fries. My mother-in-law didn't believe her Snapper meal was Snapper. She said it was moist. Yet, she said it was okay. Disclaimer: The Server was great, but she was taking care of a group of 14 people. The people who came out to help her deliver the food were ok. We asked several times whether the "Catch of the Day" was the Flounder. We were repeatedly told, "No." It was. Consequently, those who ordered it also had cooler food. I believe those issues contributed to the food temperature. This place came highly recommended. In short, I wasn't pleased with paying $164 for three mediocre meals. I encourage you to try them out. I plan on taking my wife back there on August 27 to give them another chance. I'm certain it'll be much better.

It's a great place to share a meal with family & friends. It was very comforting! We were greeted immediately by Dilara. She was so friendly and helpful throughout the visit. She even gave me a great suggestion on choice of drinks. The Milkis Banana Soda was the perfect fit for me. The restaurant started to get very busy at lunch time, and none of it phased her. She handled it like a pro. We started with the Corn Cheese appetizer. I would have never tried it if my friend had not mentioned it the day before. It was such a great shareable dish. It's delivered all bubbly on a hot plate. It looks almost like Mexican street corn, but it has a totally different flavor profile. It was almost sweet enough to be a dessert. I love that sweet cheese topping! It was a cold day, so we decided to get soup. I went with the Galbitang, and my friend selected the Soft Tofu Stew. It also came out bubbling hot, and served in its own cast iron pot. A very hot pot, so don't touch it. Lol! The rib meat was plentiful. There was a large rib bone in my soup. The meat was so tender, and fell right off the bone. The broth was meaty and full of flavor. There wasn't a whole lot of glass noodles, so I suggest you add the meat dumplings for an extra $5. Otherwise, just add the rice that comes with it. It was perfect with the rice. The banchan sides were also very tasty. I was surprised that the kimchi wasn't overly spicy. I really loved all the different flavors. What's even better is that they don't rely on salt to make it tasty. All the natural flavors of the rich rib meat shined through in the broth. It was a meal to be savored slowly as the broth started cooling off from the hot temperature. You can actually carry on a conversation while enjoying it, and not worry about your soup getting cold. Again, it was a very comfortable & enjoyable experience! We wanted to try the Korean Hotteok for dessert. Unfortunately, they didn't have any that day. I definitely want to go back and try that. I'm also very interested in trying their vegetable ramyun & gimbap lunch combo. There was a Bulgogi Wrap special that also looked very reasonable. They have different specials each month. Everything was great! I could definitely tell that a lot of hard work goes into making each and every dish. This hidden gem deserves multiple return visits. It's very close to the Manatee Viewing Center, so you might as well check it out while you're in the area.

First impression was a little suspect because it's clearly a house turned restaurant/bar. Once we got inside though, I loved the charm of it. There are different rooms you walk through and they have it all set up with tables and chairs....all different kinds so it's a modge podge of tables. Then there are cool chandeliers over the tables and bar signs everywhere. Our waitress was a new implant to Florida and she was super sweet and helpful. She also made a mean vodka tonic! Ok so let's get to the food. First we ordered the Fried Alligator Bites and the Fried Green Tomatoes as appetizers and they were both delicious! The alligator wasn't super chewy and the voodoo sauce was banging! I went with the Shrimp and Grits and sheesh I was blown away! I loved the texture and the taste of the grits. They had just the right amount of cheese and the shrimp were cooked perfectly! The hubby got the Grouper Tacos and he said they were good but a little dry. He wished they had some more toppings...either sauce or pico de gallo. My daughter got the mussel pasta. She loved the mussels but was disappointed by the penne pasta. She wished it was a bit saucier as it only had a lemony/wine liquid that wasn't sticking to the pasta. All in all this place was good. We will go at least once more since it's by where we're staying and I want to try a couple more things on the menu.

The service is always friendly and the food is truly made to order because it comes out steaming, burn your mouth hot every time! It's always cooked to perfection. It never disappoints. I have recently been getting the hogfish and shrimp combo, and I'm obsessed. Even after years of living in FL, I had never tried hogfish. One day, a couple months ago, I went for it. Light, perfect texture, flaky, mild, and sweet. The Fish House lightly breads everything in the most delicate way. I've always loved this place, but this fish somehow elevated my love of this spot! I feel like I never talk about how amazing their cornbread is. Light and airy with the perfect touch of sweetness. Either way, I'm clearly a fan. They have limited hours, so check their hours before you go.
