I just needed something to nosh on and decided to get the Asian Inspired Pork Belly, it was divine. Seared to perfectio while still being tender and flavorful. The service was amazing as the wait staff was extremely attentive. Asking for refills was not needed, and they pre-bussed the tables which I appreciated. The day I went it was windy.. so be careful if sitting outside, this is Florida after all. The outdoor patio made for a perfect day and the murals were a nice touch. We've lived in FL & haven't been here before! What is wrong with us? Why hasn't someone told us about Circles before now? Wish we knew about it sooner. From the moment we walked in we knew we were going to be in for a great experience. It is overwhelming when you arrive. So many different venues with different names. Very confusing at first. But the staff were helpful, friendly & explained they're all the same place just different areas of appeal. They have a beach area, typical dining areas, intimate cove areas, and bar areas. Well done on atmosphere! DH & I came for dinner around 6 on a Sat evening. We figured we'd have a wait but they seated us within 20 mins of arriving. We asked to be seated outside with a water view. They don't disappoint. Our waiter was fantastic. Always tentative and remembering the little things. To start DH ordered a beer. It was served & cold. I ordered a Mojito which was ok, nothing special. For dinner I got the Lump Crab BLT. Don't expect big lumps of crab meat. The rest of the ingredients are a hint of flavors & that really made it great. Beware, it is a delicious but very messy sandwich. The side salad was a hit. Very fresh & flavorful. DH ordered the Tenderloin Steak Sandwich. He was very happy with the flavor. It was not dried out and had a good seasoning. His side of fries were good too. The atmosphere can't be beat. Decided to stop by after taking a boat ride and it was absolutely wonderful. There wasn't a wait for a table for 4 and plenty of seating. Stopped at Circles with a friend on a little Apollo Beach girls day and oh my gosh I'm so glad we did! The food was BOMB! Staff were attentive and so wonderful and you really absolutely cannot beat the view here. This is such a gorgeous place to sit outside and enjoy some incredible food. And we did just that! Beautiful view, great atmosphere especially on a nice evening like it was during my visit. But that's when all the happiness and magic ends for me. This is my third visit in the last two months, all with friends who wanted to dine here. My wife and I were so disappointed the last two times that we just decided on appetizers tonight which was a mistake. We ordered an order of the crab cakes which barely tasted like they had any crab meat inside. Having had crab cakes from all over the globe I know that these were subpar. If you've ever had Baltimore crab cakes then you'll understand. Then we went with the mussels and they arrived at the table cold, not under the heat lamp warm but sitting off to the side cold. Even when they took them back to warm them up, they were still horrible and we didn't even get half way done before we just gave up on them. Came for a late lunch by the water after visiting the manatee viewing area, we were just searching for spots nearby and chose correctly! Started with the lobster dip: big chunks of lobster in a warm, cheesy dip with a crispy toast that gives a great crunch and works perfectly for dipping. I had the crispy cod sandwich -- a big, hearty sandwich. The fish was perfectly crispy, the slaw adds great texture and balance, and the fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The lunch menu had a good variety of options. One of my friends got the surf and turf and had great things to say about it. I chose Circles because of the view and vast food choices. The front desk feels like a hotel lobby. They greeted us and sat us down quickly. We sat on the patio because we wanted the view however it was way too cold and the heater just wasn't doing it for us. They were so accommodating and switched us to the bar area on a high table and chairs. We were happy their. We ordered the Crack is Whack Shrimp which were delicious. The sauce is really good. They had a nice crunch and I wanted more. I ordered the Cod sandwich. If you look at the picture I attached you will see that the piece of cod was bigger than the buns. No complaints there. The slaw and sauce all complimented each other. This was a very tasty sandwich. The fries were hit and crispy. The Signature Grouper and Scallops were just as delicious. They were both seasoned to perfection. The asparagus was a bit overcooked. The rice was good too. The waitress showed up for ours drinks, food order and food delivery but after that we didn't see her for a long while. However, we were in conversation that we didn't notice until we were done eating. Overall, the food was a 10/10. The place was beautiful. The service was just okay. read more

This is our second visit in a couple months and we brought a friend. We sat inside this time by the window, enjoying the beautiful view. We also realize there's some gorgeous local artwork inside. We all had sangria and it was yummy. For appetizers we had the sesame chicken poppers and the artichoke cheese dip. They were generously portioned and tasty. Our server AJ gave us some really good recommendations. He was very helpful and attentive without being intrusive. I had the sweet heat grouper and my two dining companions both had the Italian chicken pasta. We all enjoyed our dishes. We also saved room for dessert. The food lastnight was a very nice surprise. It was excellent. The grouper bites were amazing. The star the night. Very light, crispy and fresh. Cesar was very good. Chilean Sea Bass was cooked to perfection as was the Grouper Dinner. Both were ordered with the butter sauce. Sides were very good. Martinis on spot. Sorry no pictures. Circles was pretty packed, but the location has a large amount of options when it comes to seating... You can sit at the bar area that's 21+ you can sit on the beach area by the stage, you can sit under a covered area that also is outside, or you can opt for their inside dining. They do not offer reservations, but the wait was about five minutes. Our server was very kind and tentative. She was very great. My only complaint was that she did not verbally let us know about the specials... So we completely missed out on a menu until after we had already started ordering our apps so we ended up ordering more because what we actually wanted was on that specialty menu (NOLA BBQ SHRIMP and CRAB BLT). The grouper bites are amazing. I love their tartar sauce. It comes with a pickle base. I also loved the New Orleans barbecue shrimp. It was arguably the best thing I had all night that was on the menu. We missed out on the first round of ordering. The drinks are strong, but very good. I would go back for apps and cocktails. We all ordered the grouper sandwich, fried and blackebed. My family was upset with the fried as it was not crunchy/croepy. My blackened grouper sandwich looked amazing, but was bland... I had to dress it up with salt, pepper, and lemon juice. The crabcakes had so much potential, but they tasted a little too fresh with a little ocean flavor. This place rocks. Staff is on point and don't miss a beat. Love the teal colored interior and the modern pop art when I walk in. The view overlooks a harbor. I ordered the Coral Reef Linguine. The sauce in that is perfect and so was the portion they give you. This is actually my parents' favorite restaurant in the area and they've lived here for years but it was my first time. We did enjoy the mussels and hubby liked the spicy grouper. I wound up with their version of bang bang shrimp which was okay. This quiet waterfront restaurant bar and marina of sorts has good food great dining and amazing service from staff. My family enjoyed their time and hospitality. We even saw dolphins and our waitress was very kind and friendly explained to us how they hunt and by bringing us up to the waterfront to see them. This restaurant transports you to a tropical oasis. I love the fact that you have the view of the water and multiple different spaces to chose from indoors to bar seating with TVs so you can catch a game. They have a good variety of options on the menu and everything that I tried was delicious. The parking lot is huge but it does get packed so expect higher wait times during peak times. Let me start off with the positives: the ambiance is great right on the water. A lot of care clearly went into the tropical garden feel and it's well maintained. The people are also very nice even if service is a little slow. Okay, now to the meat of what you're interested in: the food. If the food were 50% cheaper you'd probably be willing to overlook its shortcomings for the ambiance. There's little seasoning to be found on anything so everything is bland. Even the fries are completely lacking in salt. The grouper was breaded nicely and cooked properly but it was almost tasteless. The bacon carried my wife's Crab BLT because everything was so bland for her. The lobster dip appetizer had uncooked Parmesan sprinkled on the bread that was neither bruschetta nor dipping bread so it just didn't work well as an appetizer either. Overall, there's a better restaurant literally next door that's a little cheaper and I can't see coming back after such a disappointing outing. read more

Enjoy Circles, especially with friends! Morgan is a stellar barkeep! We are hooked on the Ahi Tuna & the chicken bombers. The guys at the bar next to us had fried fish, which they said was good. I tried the Watermelon Marg. Yummers! Update: Went back yesterday. The bartender was just rude! He kept saying things under his breath. I could hear. He got mad that we asked him to wipe the bar. He is consistently rude and he should not wonder why there was only one guy at the bar when we got there. We live around the corner and if this guy with his baseball cap and reflective sunnies think he is too cool, we won't sit at the bar when he's there. Came to Circles for a late lunch on a boat day over the weekend. Plenty of space to pull your boat up. I love all the amazing murals all over the restaurant, even in the bathroom stalls. To drink I order a virgin pina colada which I loved. For lunch I ordered the sesame chicken bombs which were really good. I've been here twice in two weeks! I have to say the food is above average. Actually I thoroughly enjoyed my lump crab meat BLT! On my return I tried the Parmesan Grouper which was very good. My only complaint is the seating, both times we came for a business lunch. First time we came with 5 people, one of our party was on a conference call and stayed in the car to wrap it up. We asked to be seated but were told we needed to have the full party before seating! We asked to speak with the manager, he said he would allow it this time. As if he was doing us a big favor. I could understand if the place was packed but on this day at lunch it was less than 30% full. The second visit we had a similar experience. Reminds me of being a kid and going out to eat with my grandparents. Despite having reservations they wouldn't seat our group which was a good size party until everyone had arrived. Then the waitress informed us that gratuity was included and they could not split the seats for checks. This was an immediate red flag and did not do anything to impress. The food was decent.
