(Also iykyk BTS members were here too :DD) We arrived around 3 PM, and the restaurant was super busy and packed. I was expecting a wait but we got seated right away. Initially, we asked to sit outside and it was really nice at first. The breeze and fresh air in the shade were definitely 10/10. But as the afternoon went on, the sun got much hotter and the seagulls became absolutely VICIOUS LOLL, so we ended up asking to move inside. The staff were so accommodating and let us pick whichever table we wanted, which I really appreciated. Now onto the food, WOW was the first word that came out of my mouth the portions are HUGE. There were a lot of great options to choose from, but I ended up getting the grilled lobster mac and cheese. The portion was HEFTY. I ate so much, yet it still looked like I barely made a dent in the bowl lol. The flavor was good, but it was saltier than I expected, and the more I ate, the more noticeable the saltiness became. Not super busy on a gorgeous Saturday night. The good: the shrimp boil is amazing. I do wish there was an option to order more bread to go along with it. The location on the water is beautiful and the patio tables are great, with fans to help with temperature control. The meh: This place is super inconsistent, even within the same visit. I had one spicy margarita that was amazing and had a couple of jalapeno slices. My friend ordered one that was missing the jalapenos and was just ok. The cooks forgot to add the honey sriracha sauce to our brussel sprouts (which I've had here before so I knew something was missing). The solution to just bring a cup of the sauce to the table was not it. The bad: That parking lot. Not a single place to park, yet the restaurant was not at all busy. Best. Brussels sprouts. Ever! I know! I'm at a seafood place with great views and tons of tropical drinks-and I appreciate all of that, too. But the Brussels sprouts... wow! They're made with honey... and honey, they're gooood! They're magical-and after an extra long work week, they were also medicinal. Finn's sits right on the water, in Apollo Beach. It's tucked back in a residential area, not far off U.S. 41, right next to Circles. We were there at 12;30 on a Friday afternoon and parking was already scarce. (I can't imagine weekend nights) But don't let that hold you back. This is a fun spot-with inside dining-a huge covered deck and two other outside areas-all with great views. The food and bar menus have enough temptations to keep you coming back for that alone. The blackened mahi was cooked well and not too spicy. It comes with pineapple pico-that was balanced-not overwhelmed by onions. And the fries were really good-nice crunch-came out piping hot. And don't forget the Brussels (I sure won't!) I thought $21.99 was a fair price for the generous portion of fish and two sides (they have a large sides selection!) The drinks were good-nice kick, but not too strong--just right. I hadn't had a rumrunner in *years but suddenly had a craving for one. I knew it would be sweet-and it was-but I liked it. The key lime colada (made with Rumchata coconut!) was very sweet but really good. The perfect dessert. The vibe is casual, laid back and fun. Service was warm and super efficient. So this was my first time at Finn's for lunch with a couple of friends. The view is spectacular through the wall of windows. I've been to Circles several times and just happened to notice this restaurant next-door. Finn gives casual seafood waterfront vibes. I was just getting over a cold so my taste buds were not at their best however we started with the five dollar drink which was pretty small but good. We also had the chips and queso which were good and generous portion too. I had the mahi-mahi wrap and my friends had Cobb salads with chicken. The service was friendly and efficient. O.m.g. A few weeks ago one of the girls and I came here for lunch, and Finn's was having a deal on special burgers. Today my friend and I both ordered caesar chicken salad. When it came there were 2 lemon halves. As the wait was putting down my dish, I noticed a large hair around the lemon. I immediately told the waiter. He took the dish back and removed the hair. Afterwards I realized I should have ordered something else. But ok, I ate it. When lunch was over the waiter came to clean the dishes, I pushed my friends dish to the waiter and noticed a hair on her lemon too . I didn't say anything, but I am beyond disgusted . Finns was solid, but nothing special. Location is great, right in the water! They do have a small parking lot which will for sure fill up on the weekends, they did not design that very well. No overflow parking options so you're forced to park in the middle of the divided highway. Food was okay, oysters were good but the shrimp po boy was lacking. Over cooked and the bread was stale. I had a great time here. Andrew was an amazing waiter; super attentive and friendly, which really made the visit enjoyable. I for one will pay top dollar for good food but the prices don't reflect the food quality imo. The buffalo dip was served in what looked like a frozen pizza dinner container (tasted microwaved). Stopped in to Finn's after spending half the day at the Teco Manatee Viewing Platforms. We had a very nice experience at Finn's. We started with a round of coconut shrimp. Shrimp were large, well cooked and piping hot. Then we did Cobb salads with blackened grouper. The fish was so fresh. We also split a shrimp boil. This restaurant is right on the water with that said definitely recommend coming to see the sunset. The food is very good and the portions are large. I recommend the lobster mac & cheese. This is not your normal lobster mac & cheese as they give you a whole lobster tail. I was definitely impressed with that. They have a full bar with an array of drinks. There was one tiny piece of fish, which wasn't blackened. I actually had to open the wrap up to find it. I ordered the extra spicy also. I couldn't eat it anymore because it was just eating a lettuce and cabbage wrap. I brought it home thinking maybe the other half of it will be better and I can spice it up myself so you could taste some sort of flavor. You can imagine how bland it was shredded lettuce, shredded cabbage, and white fish with no spice on it so I tried it again at home. I opened it up. There was a tiny sliver of fish in there. I think it's gonna get thrown in the trash. I don't know that I wanna make a sauce for it. It had no flavor! DON'T GET THE BLACKENED MAHI! WRAP I called the restaurant and spoke to the food manager. After being a loyal customer for the past month and even considering hosting a large company event there (I had just spoken with a manager named Bernadette who gave me Kyla Hayes' business card for event planning), I was suddenly and rudely kicked out. It started with a simple, innocent comment about a waitress's mouth reminding me of Betty Boop. Moments later, I was accused of something I never said. I believe they completely misunderstood my accent--I'm Cuban, and my English isn't perfect--but instead of giving me a chance to explain, they just threw me out. This felt not only unfair but frankly quite discriminatory. I want to emphasize that I'm a father, a husband, and a gentleman who is always respectful towards women. This kind of treatment was not only humiliating but completely out of line. If you value respect and fairness, think twice before choosing this place.
