Rosa made my sons first haircut amazing and stress free. I completely recommend this place and will be back!

I strongly hesitate to write a bad review for Rosa because I understand that this is a small business. I've also seen her youngest daughter at the establishment a couple of times, and I obviously don't want to contribute in any way to jeopardizing their livelihood. However, I have had such a terrible issue with the customer service here, in a way, Rosa is jeopardizing her own business. She has always had terrible phone communication and comes across as having an attitude but for the most part is nice in person, albeit a little chastising and pushy at times. However, the last time I spoke to her on the phone was over the top, and I couldn't look past it. At the time I was 39 weeks pregnant and going into my final growth ultrasound. It's 11 am, and I called her to make an appointment for my son, trying to get all my errands done before the new baby comes. She answers the phone saying "Circus cuts! This is Rosa how can I help you?" (It's important to note that this greeting does not include anything about the cancellation policy she will claim to answer the phone with later on.) I made an appointment for my son 1215 the same day. During my appointment, I get the unfortunate news the fetus is growth restricted and I need to go to the hospital immediately to be induced. When I leave the appointment, it's 1145 and I obviously am not going to make the 1215 appointment. I am in tears because not only is my baby at risk of being stillborn but my husband is out of state for work. Nevertheless, the first call I make is actually to Rosa to cancel the appointment because of an emergency. She does not even give me a chance to explain my situation, even though I'm clearly distressed and apologetic. She keeps speaking over me and snaps, saying "We have a 3 hour cancellation policy, and I explain it very clearly at the beginning of each phone call. You will be charged a cancellation fee at your next appointment." I am very frustrated and I explain I barely made the appointment an hour ago so it would be impossible to have given her a 3 hour heads up. She is adamant that the $10 fee stands. It isn't an exorbitant amount of money, but it's really the principle of the situation. You would think as a mother herself that she would be a little more compassionate and understanding of how life can get in the way sometimes. read more

We loved Ms. Nolma and she did such a good job on my 16 month olds hair. His hair looks great and she kept him calm the whole time. He had fun with all the toys and liked watching Netflix while she cut. She was professional and I felt totally comfortable with the experience. Ms. Rosa was also super friendly and kind. read more

$17 haircut for my 4 year old and I couldn't be more pleased! The lady was very kind and playful with my daughter. Little to no wait time. My only complaint would be the play room being blocked off due to covid. I feel if the kids are wearing a mask why can't they play at their own risk? Will be back regardless though! read more

What a rude staff. The customer service is horrible and the owner/operator has a complete lack of empathy for someone who is portraying their establishment as a kid friendly place. The lady was rude to my wife on the phone for being a few minutes late (2 minutes!!!!) while we explained to her that we were almost there and she proceeded to cancel the appointment without any care or empathy. The last time we went there, she was rude as well and honestly (and this is agnostic of the customer service), I have seen monkeys cutting better hair than her. In addition, the place seems dirty where I doubt they clean the toys at all. I dislike leaving bad reviews for small businesses especially in these difficult COVID times but the horrible customer service and terrible skills of the establishment prompted me to post this review. I called to schedule appointment and the girl on the phone was incredibly RUDE. I asked about scheduling and was told "we are incredibly busy everyday." I then asked if there is an app I can see availability and was told I have to call (which I was doing). Then I asked when there would be availability since she wasn't forthcoming with ANY information. She said I have to check... I wait on the phone... she comes back that they have time next Monday. I said great let's book that she gets my number and proceeds to tell me I had made an appointment back in 2017 and that I was a no show (I don't remember that). She then says again rudely "we'll give you another chance." I told her to cancel it and she should really watch how how she talks to perspective customers. You all lost business because of her - we get our two kids hair cut every 3 weeks. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! The woman completely butchered my sons hair. The owner came out and was unapologetic, asked us to pay and I asked her if she could fix his hair and she said she had two other customers so no. My husband and I are so upset, we're traveling to meet family overseas and our son looks nothing like himself. Trust the reviews and go to one of the other places!! I would give zero stars if I could. I was on my way to my child's appointment. We were 2 minutes late and less than 4 minutes away. A lady called- I assume the owner and told me I was 2 minutes late to my appointment. I apologized and said I have a toddler and a newborn baby and I did my best to get everyone out the door and we were just a few minutes away- literally less than 4 min. We could have turned into the parking lot before hanging up. But she basically said that was unacceptable and made me cancel the appointment. I wouldn't have wanted her to cut my child's hair with a bad attitude anyway. We went there for my child's first haircut a year ago and she had a bad attitude then too. Absolutely no empathy for being a parent of little ones. I was ready to be a loyal customer but apparently she doesn't need them. So I want to tell everyone she doesn't want or need my business or yours. If you're running late just forget it. We ended up at my husband's barber Milton Salon by Gus same road. Amazing first class experience. He took us in 1 whole hour before he was actually open for business. Treated my 3 year old girl like a doll. Thoughtfully cut her hair. He has my business for my whole family for life. read more

Ms. Rosa is a miracle worker. We have been visiting Circus Cuts for probably a year now, if not longer and she never disappoints. We were super worried about how our daughter would act at the 1st haircut and Rosa was cool, patient, and accepting of her minor moments of freak out. Fast forward to now and our little loves Rosa and getting a hair clip and a Lollipop. She can watch Netflix which helps with the distractions so that is an added plus. We love Rosa and highly recommend her! Definitely recommend making an appointment - the weekends are back to back busy. Sundays are actually appointments only. I've seen many families turned away. We always book before we leave to ensure we can get in. read more

Horrible customer service! If you don't have enough staff to accommodate walk-ins, then please do not mention on your yelp page that walk-ins are welcome. I drove 20 minutes for my toddler's haircut, and was asked to wait for 45 minutes since I didn't have an appointment. Obviously I couldn't wait as that would've eaten into my 18 month old's nap time. And all moms know how cranky they get when they miss their naps. Waste of my precious time with no haircut, and an hollow apology from the owner. read more

Haircut from hell, Rosa needs to work on her attitude more than children's hair, being a hair salon for kid she needs to have more patience, she can't wait to go to the next kid, left my kid with red scratches all over his neck, there is only one type of hairstyle (Rosa's special) no catalog or nothing, very dirty environment, clean that toy's basket for God's sake. read more

I had a wonderful experience with Ms. Rosa at Circus Cuts. After trying 2 other 'kids' haircut places for my 2 year old son, this was the first place I was happy with. She gave me a very professional consultation before beginning to cut and his cut turned out very nice. I immediately scheduled a cut for my daughter for the next day. Another good cut. Rosa is great with kids and even better with kids' haircuts! I've been bringing my son to her for the past 8 months (he's now 20 months), and she always does a great job. I always schedule an appointment, but if you have to wait (which I rarely do), there's a nice play area with toys. Haircuts are quick but thorough and reasonably priced. After a bad experience at a different salon, I contacted Circus Cuts. They thankfully had a slot open for us to make our way over immediately. Rosa was great! She was so fast and professional. Circus cuts is amazing! We've been taking our twin boys to Ms. Rosa since their first cut - they're almost 3yo now. Ms Rosa is both patient and efficient. One of our kids doesn't mind haircuts while the other throws a fit (tho he gets better each time). With the playroom, atv chair, and movie of your choice, there's plenty to keep kids occupied. We LOVE Ms. Rosa. We've seen her for years. My son has Autism and haircuts were often very scary for him. Ms. Rosa puts him at ease. He has seen her for about 9 years now and she always treats him as part of the family. I also have a daughter now, and Ms. Rosa is just as great with her, always taking extra time to do some cute styling at the end of the cut. We've had nothing but happy times at Circus Cuts. Worst haircut ever!!!!!!!!!! I have been trying to grow out certain parts of my daughter's hair for over 10 months. I brought her in to get her hair cut and specifically asked that that particular area not be cut, but of course it was. When I asked if something could be done to soften the area she because basically it looked terrible Rosa, the stylist became very argumentative stating she did not cut anything that had not not already been cut. Headed to the closest kids salon for a bang trim yesterday. Nowhere on the website did it state Sundays are by appointment only. We pull into the parking lot with only one other car there. There's a handwritten sign on the door that Sunday is by appointment only. I walk in to double check since there is only one other car and it's just a bang trim only to be turned away. As my daughter goes to get in the car she sees two girls come out of the salon and bursts into tears, not understanding why she was turned away. You draw clients in with customer service and how your business handles a customer's grievance. We will take our business elsewhere. read more

I have to say I was a little wary of this place at first but I really enjoyed our first professional hair cut here! The reviews on other sites were really positive and it was nearby where I work so I thought we would try it. We had an appointment with Adela and she was SO sweet! She was very patient with my son and they asked him what DVD he wanted to watch. He got to sit on a toy motor bike and the whole thing was over in less than 10 min! I didn't give this review a 5 because it was hard to find and it took us a few tries to get there. read more
