The place is a local place in a strip mall in London county. Nicely decorated with booths. However the waitress couldn't get our drink order (1 root beer and 1 lemonade right); ordered a meatball sub and a Philly cheesesteak. Took the food some time to arrive and when it did, The food was barely edible, with lots of lettuce and tomatoes but little meat in the cheesesteak and unseasoned meatballs with something ground into the meatballs. We really enjoyed visiting Ciro in Stone Ridge. Their takeout counter was pretty busy. They have a very small bar to the left of the entrance. And the main dining area to the right. The kids pizza and spaghetti were pretty big portions. Our kids had to bring home leftovers. The bruschetta was flavorful and fresh. The argula and pear salad was refreshing and the house dressing wasn't over powering. The lemon chicken picatta was perfect. I loved that it wasn't overly buttered like many other restaurants do. Knocked down one star because service was rather slow. Everyone was super friendly though. Will definitely come back to try other dishes! read more

BLUF: Service is great. Cozy venue up front. Back room is nicer. My food was mediocre. Others may really enjoy their food, but I wasn't bowled over by taste bud heaven. Worth the drive? For some. It's a community favorite. Just not mine. Pizza is all about the perfect balance of freshness and deliciousness. The ideal blend of savory sauce, cheese, toppings, and a yummy crust. Crust is not just what toppings sit upon. It should be tasty bread all by itself. This pizza, while it looked enticing, was served to me almost cold...and I was sitting about as close to the kitchen as one could get. The crust lacked a lot flavor. For me, it fell in the category of slightly better than cardboard. The bland, tangy, watery tomato sauce was too boring as if they were relying on the few sprigs of basil to season the whole pizza. The parmesan sprinkled atop my pizza couldn't save it. For the price, it was a decent size, but for my hopes of scarfing down some delicious pie, it fell really short. read more

Location: in a shopping center with other popular stores so parking lot can be busy depending on the time you go. Service: 10/10. Scott was phenomenal. He was attentive and super kind. On top of our main waiter being awesome, so were the hostesses and other employees! The vibes were so clear and they worked SO well as a team. We got checked up on and assisted with multiple employees. Ambiance: felt like a cute little family owned Italian joint. It was exactly how I envisioned it prior to coming in. Stopped by Ciro tonight for an early New Year's Eve meal. We go to Ciro often, and it is consistently very good. However, tonight they had a special menu. I ordered the linguini with lobster, shrimp and crab. OMG, when my meal arrived, it was a fabulous large lobster tail stuffed with crab meat and topped with jumbo grilled shrimp in a light lemon butter sauce with al dente linguini. I have to say that this unexpected and very spectacular dish was the best lobster dish that I have ever had! The price was right too! They also offered some fun and tasty NYE cocktails! I've tried this place a few times. I was going between 2 and 3 stars, but I think it really landed on, Meh, I've experienced better. I've gone for spotlight wine dinners and tried the seafood pasta with squid ink. Was not a big fan and personally, I don't like seafood pasta where they don't remove the shells or the skin. I think my favorite dish here, is the calzone, which they will add in meat and veggies for extra to make it a Stromboli. It's made really well, and their pizza is pretty good too. I would highly recommend those dishes. The service I received during dinners on the restaurant side, always made me feel abandoned and overwhelmed from disappointment. So the last 4 times I've been going to the bar. Sometime at the bar, the service is nice! Then other times, the bartender is MIA only popping out of the kitchen for a second. The last time we went we ordered 1 martin, water and to split a chocolate cake. We received 2 martins, no water and a cake that made us feel like it had coffee in it (my date doesn't like coffee so I ended up having to eat cake alone). So obviously, we cashed out afterwards and left. I'm sure we will keep going because we live in the nieghborhood, now and then. I hope I can update this in the future. read more

my experience in this Italian restaurant. I went to lunch with my girlfriend who is a resident of the area and I asked her to go eat pasta. my point of view as a chef, with the intention of writing something about my personal experience. the place was completely empty. a little desolate I ordered a small caesar salad, it was well seasoned, the only thing that came out was a black piece as if they hadn't washed the salad. The waiter offered to change it and I accepted. Then I ordered a carbonara pasta, but with linguine and the waiter told me that it was not possible, I asked why, if all you have to do is substitute one pasta for another. the sauce was very unseasoned, it lacked salt, freshly ground black pepper and more parmesan. I had to ask the waiter for more Parmesan because he never offered me one. then the waiter behaved on a scale of 0 to 10 (a 6) I hope to be able to return another time and have a better experience, I will give you a second taste. I imagine that the owner is Italian, they need a good restaurant consultant, so that the experience is more pleasant. read more

Ciro Ristorante is very close to my sister's home. We did pick up order of pizza from there. We called for the order and they told us 20 minutes. When we arrived it was ready for us. We ordered cheese pizza which tasted like something I would have eaten in Italy. It was delicious and nicely hot still by the time we took it home. Good packing and good customer service. The manager, a friend of the owner, always comes by to check and spends a minute or two talking about the food, asking how our kids are doing with soccer, and is just an all-around nice guy.
