We have been loyal customers of Broadlands Pizzeria since the day they opened and have always been very happy, but tonight was a disappointment. We ordered two grilled chicken Caesar salads to go. After picking them up and getting all the way home, we realized they gave us Greek salads instead. In hindsight, I should have resolved the issue on the phone before my husband drove back, perhaps asking them to deliver the correct order. However, we were hungry and they are close by, so I agreed to have him drive them back. I asked him to request that they take one or both salads off the bill to make up for the inconvenience, which I think is completely fair for our wasted time. When my husband got there, it turned out a new employee had taken the order and messed it up--which happens, and we understand. What we don't understand is the manager's attitude. He just flat out refused to budge on any type of compensation, acting like it was no big deal that we had to drive back to fix their mistake. He even asked, "What do you want, four free salads?" We didn't want extra food; my husband just wanted the two salads we actually paid for, since he brought the wrong ones back. They remade the salads, but getting nothing for his time except a dismissive manager ruined our evening. Going out of your way to fix a business's mistake shouldn't be met with that kind of treatment. After years of supporting this place, we will never order from them again. Loyal customers deserve better. We will be taking our business to Rubino's Pizzeria from now on. read more

The process was a bit confusing because once I placed my order, it disappeared. I didn't get an email, text or anything. Finally I called to ensure the order went through and it did. Our food arrived and it was amazing! I'm in love with the pizza! The appetizer sampler was a hit with my kids. Chicken tenders, fries, chicken wings and cheese sticks. You get a lot for the money. This would have been a 4-5* review except the online ordering system they use is HORRIBLE, the food was tasty. We got a BLT, chicken cheese steak and chicken Parmesan. The chicken cheesesteak was packed full and was tasty my son's chicken Parmesan had three large pieces of chicken tons of cheese pasta, and the sauce had a nice sweet taste. I used to be able to order thin crust, well done - but the website requests go ignored and the crust is doughy, the sauce has less flavor and overall we'd have a better experience at a chain pizza place which kind of says it all. Went for lunch and the customer service was horrible. Ordered the steak Stromboli it was under cooked. When it was mentioned the language barrier was horrible. I asked to change to a different menu item. The waitress took my food to the back and another employee brought the same food back to the table. I told him it was changed to something else. His reply was I was told to reheat that what he did. When i said i no longer wanted it. He argued loudly with me.He told me that the food was not under cooked. Wow! Broadlands Brickoven Pizzeria really bailed our church out of a bind. I went to pick up an 11-pizza order from one of the major chains to feed a large crew of hungry kids who were practicing for their Christmas pageant. But when I got there, the chain store was locked up. (I later learned a manager had called in sick with Covid and they had no replacement. So they just closed without notice, a courtesy call or anything.) Enter Broadlands Brickoven Pizzeria on a white horse! I called them, explained my dilemma, and asked how quickly they could make 11 pizzas. The manager was super-understanding and said, "35 minutes." I was skeptical, but didn't have many cards to play and accepted on the spot. I got there in 15 minutes, and they had me out in 20 minutes as promised. I don't know how they did it, as I called with no notice on a Sunday morning. But they did it and I can't thank them enough. The kids were grateful and one summed it up best by saying, "This is so much better than Papa John's!" The next time, Broadlands Brickoven Pizzeria will be my first call. read more

My third experience with Broadlands Brickoven. I ordered a marguerite pizza with a little ricotta, a tuna sub and an order of lasagna. The pizza was the worst pizza I've ever had. A Sogfest and since when do you put red meat sauce on a marguerite pizza. I expected a crispy thin crust with tomato, mozzarella, basil and olive oil. I tried just eating the mozzarella bits but found it inedible. Tossed out the whole pizza, and I'm not a person who throws out food. I hate waste! The simple salad was fine. The tuna sub was mostly bread and had one under-ripe slice of tomato on top. But it was okay. The tuna was fresh. The lasagna was not as good as frozen. I threw out half of the over-cooked noodles and hopefully the meat sauce will be better tomorrow. I was really enthused last time I ordered a Sicilian pan pizza there, it was really good, but after three tries and two out of three being bad, I'm out. I don't recommend. Disappointing. read more

I am delighted that I found this pizzeria. Their regular pizzas are as close to NYC pizza as you can get out here (this coming from a NYC native) and their gluten-free pizza comes with a sealed pizza cutter to prevent contamination. That is a real (and appreciated) attention to detail. The first time we ordered here, I noticed that perfect crunch from the crust and although I don't bend a slice while eating anymore, you could do it with one of their slices like you're eating on the corner of Bleecker & 7th. There's a great balance of sauce and cheese and they offer plenty of topping options. Their mozzarella sticks were really good and I look forward to trying their calamari next. I am extremely picky about pizza, having lived in NYC and been to Italy twice. Today I tried this restaurant for the first time. I got the lunch special: two slices and a drink. I was beyond impressed with the pizza, especially given that I ordered by the slice so it was reheated. It was delicious, and I can't wait to order a whole fresh pie! The store was impeccably clean and the staff was wonderful. Great ambiance, too. The friend I was with and her husband eat here all the time and highly recommend the non-pizza offerings as well. We ordered via phone which was a little challenging "Only" because they were training a nice young lady to take orders and the restaurant was very busy last night. Our delivery driver arrived quickly and our food was still Hot which surprised me based on the location. Our menu has coupons so we used the large one topping pizza w/ 10 wings for $19.99. We had the sausage w/ extra sauce for the pizza and the wings we did BBQ. Wow, the pizza was just as Good as our favorite pizza place in Manassas Tony's NY Pizza! The sauce tasted fresh, the sausage had a little spice to it and the crust was on the thinner side but not thin crust. The wings were cooked Perfectly, lightly breaded, tossed in BBQ sauce and still had that light breaded crunch...I agree with other reviewers that these wings are the best I've had through a pizza place and maybe beyond. Probably the best pie you'll get in the DC area. If you've ever had NY Pizza from NYC or NJ, you'll know that the pizza around DC is mediocre in comparison. This is the only place I've been too around the DMV where the sauce & quality is reminiscent of a pie you could get in any of the 5 Boroughs & North New Jersey with real Italians in the kitchen & high end tomatoes like Alta Cucinas. When it comes to neighborhood pizza, this is my go to choice every single time. Been coming here for over a decade; it's always consistent and priced right. The crust to cheese to meat ratios are always perfect, gets delivered quickly, and is just plain tasty. I've really only ever had their pizza, mozzarella sticks and chicken wings, so I can't comment on anything else. I've also never eaten in the restaurant, choosing either to get delivery or pick up but the people that help us are always very friendly and patient. Every once in awhile I'll try a different pizza place but always end up missing this pizza. I really do try to find somewhere else to go but no one else can quite compare in the area. After a late movie we arrived at Broadlands with about 15 minutes before closing, at 945pm on a Thursday night. I could tell by the look in their eyes they wanted nothing more than to call it a night and clean up and go home but when I ordered a large cheese pizza and the avocado grilled chicken salad, it became business as usually it might have been closing time but they served us and treated us like it was mid day and did not rush us at all. A very decent pizza for Ashburn...maybe not NY or Philly good, but decent. Ordered the 14" medium Supreme for take-out. Took me roughly ten minutes to get back home and it was still piping hot. This is currently my family's favorite place for pizza in the Broadlands / Ashburn area. It's okay pizza, and I don't get a MSG headache afterwards, so I don't object. The pizza tastes just fine, but there is something about the way they make it that seems off to me. The cheese forms a solid layer on top, precariously perched on top of a very slippery layer of pizza sauce. So the cheese has a tendency to slide right off. Why is that? Is it something about the way they make the dough that isn't causing the cheese to stick to the sauce to stick to the dough? Like I said, it tastes just fine, and a more important factor to me is that I don't get a headache the next day from some form of MSG in the food. (For example, over at the Sal's Pizza Place on Broadlands and Claiborne, the pizza was really downright delicious, but I had a HORRIBLE headache the next day). So since my wife and kids like this place, I go with it. They have indoor seating with several booths and several table and chair setups. It's pretty small, and the service is pretty attentive because you're waitress can't be more than about 20 feet away. I came here for a quick lunch the other day and got the chicken souvlaki pita deal that came with fries and a soda for 8.99. The pita was toasted/grilled and the meat was pretty tasty, though it didn't seem like it had been marinated Greek-style. Th e fries are the double fried kind-not my fave (not their fault). My lunch partner got pasta with meat sauce; it was a huge plate and it came with garlic bread. He took more than half home. Service was prompt. It was an okay and very affordable meal. We order from here on a regular basis for work. Last week, it took well over an hour for our delivery to get here and when it did the food was barely warm. Ordered today- an Italian sub with Italian dressing and chicken tenders with honey mustard. After another hour-plus wait, there was no dressing on the sub and no honey mustard for the chicken. I called them- the answer I got was oh sorry! I said ok so what are you going to do about it? She told me that we are too far away to just bring us dressing back. I had a horrible experience tonight with Broadlands Brickoven Pizza and I will not order from them again. I called and ordered a large pizza half pepperoni and half supreme. I paid for the pizza over the phone with a tip for the driver and waited. 35 minutes later the pizza arrived - I took it from the driver and went downstairs to eat with my dad. When I opened the box I realized they brought a half pepperoni and half cheese pizza. I called back immediately to let them know my order was wrong expecting to hear, "we are so sorry about that, keep the pizza you have and we will get the right pizza over to you right away". That would have been the right answer. What I got was the wrong answer. I was put on hold for 5 minutes and when the guy came back to the phone he told me they would make the pizza we originally ordered but that I would need to pay the difference because I was only charged for the half pepperoni and half cheese pizza AND that they would expect me to give them back the pizza that I had. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? AND WHAT WERE THEY GOING TO DO WITH THE PIZZA THAT WAS BROUGHT INTO MY HOME, GIVE IT TO SOMEONE ELSE??? The is an excellent example of horrible customer service. It's extremely disappointing because I live like 3 blocks from them. I will NEVER order from them again, and I will tell everyone I know about this appalling experience. I think I've now tried every pizza place in Ashburn, and based solely on the quality of the pizza I think Broadlands Brickoven Pizzeria has the best pie. It's quality is consistent, flavor is good, toppings are good and well distributed. Now, what about non-pizza items? First, I'm not sure why you're ordering them from a pizza place! But, some will, here's the rundown. The salads are actually quite good. We regularly get one for before our pizza when dining in. They are large, with high quality ingredients. Pasta, I would skip unless you're under 5 and want spaghetti rather than pizza. The pasta is basically "acceptable". They also make subs, I've never eaten one, I've never seen anyone in the restaurant eating one. Draw your own conclusions. We don't do delivery from them, preferring to eat in. Monday is a special, large cheese $7.99 for eat in. Great deal! We did get delivery once for a birthday party and the pizza was delivered on time, hot, with cheese intact. read more
