I used to live in PA which is when i originally signed on with Trumark. they were AWESOME for the…read morefirst few years, i was seriously amazed because i came from PNC which was a nightmare and it felt kind of unreal how smoothly everything went. Over the past two years, ESPECIALLY this year, they have this algorithm that supposedly "flags fraud" that is a NIGHTMARE. Seriously multiple times every week on purchases. Even though ive told them numerous times ive moved, and they know and can clearly see from my transaction history, it doesnt matter. In other words, this credit union is only good for people that never go anywhere or travel, because you will be dealing with bullshit and they cant do anything about it apparently because its their algorithm and not a person. So unless youre like super bored and want to deal with constant headaches- i wouldnt recommend As if that wasnt vexing enough, they didnt even catch the acual fraud that happened on my card...they told me they cant...so apparently they have a fraud monitoring algorithm that doesnt actually catch fraud...nice lol. so after i cancel my card and order a new one, im waiting for a week still no card...i call the bank...THEY NEVER PUT THE ORDER THROUGH..why? because they "thought it was sketchy" and apprently they have the right to revoke service to anyone. Which sure thats fine, but how can you legally get away with not telling someone that? Like, im literally not able to access money, to eat food, to pay my bills without my debit card... and you have no obligation to let your customer know?! Immoral, insane, outrageous - leaving this bank ASAP and telling every single person i know how awful they are.

Than you either have to take time to drive 10-15 miles to another location and HOPE that one works or face an overdraft fee. Unreal how they operate. They spend all of their money on junk mail and advertising rather than fixing operations

I opened a checking account online b/c I saw a deal where they'd give you a $200 cash bonus if you open a new account and make a couple of deposits after you open the account. So I open an account electronically by creating a check from my current bank. Everything was fine (I checked my new account online - money was in there - okay, good), until 2 weeks later I get a letter from Citizen's bank that my account had been overdrawn, and I owe $20. I also got a letter from my current bank regarding the check I wrote. I didn't understand what was wrong until I called my bank - they do not honor electronic checks. Therefore, they declined the transfer to Citizen's bank. I thought the best way to resolve this was to go to a branch, hand over a check for the same amount, and get the fee waived. I met with the bank manager, who seemed a bit confused about the situation. She has to call headquarters to see what was going on. According to her, my acct. was frozen b/c they were concerned about fraud (b/c I created an electronic check that was rejected). But I was in the bank, with a check in my hand, and they could not give me an answer. The manager said she has to speak with her regional manager to see if the account can be unlocked so it can be activated gain. She didn't ask me to pay the fee. She told me she'd call me later that day to let me know where we stand. At this point, I was still interested in keeping the account. I did not hear from her later that day, so I called the next day. I spoke with her and she still did not have an answer. She said she'd call me in the next couple of days when she hears from her regional manager. A week goes by, and nothing. I called her again a week later, but was not able to speak with her. Someone took my message and told me she'd call me back later that day. I waited, and again, nothing. I got tired of waiting after a week and called the 800 number directly, and the representative told me all I had to do is pay the $2- penalty, and my account would be fine. I explained to her what happened, and she was apologetic, yet she did not offer to take off the fee. I told her I wanted to close the account. and she expressed that they'd really like to retain me, yet she made no effort to keep me other than saying Citizen's bank would love to keep me. I was then put on the call with another manager to close my account. Again, I expressed my frustration and my experience with the local branch. She was apologetic, but she never offered to waive the fee to keep me as a customer. I guess there is really no such thing as a free lunch. Instead of making $200, I lost $20. But the money isn't what bothered me - it was the entire experience with this bank and the branch I went to. Maybe I would have had a different experiencing if I just called the 800 number first, or went to a different branch, but this was what happened, and I won't bank with Citizen's again.

I would meet with her and she had an attitude (VERY UNPROFESSIONAL) but I chaulked it up to not getting enough sleep or like. Today I went into the bank and wanted to cash in my CD. I wanted to reopen my checking account and place the balance of the CD into another CD. The GM told me I needed the CD. In the past, however, the bank would give me a form to sign stating that I had lost the CD. She refused to give this to me. She opened a new checking account, but refused to give me my new certificate. I was very upset but the GM was relentless. I asked her why she disliked me so much, and she said she didn't like MY attitude! I asked her what I had done. She told me she didn't like my response to using the bathroom, which she claimed they didn't have. I told her I need to pee! I could not believe she was so petty about serving a customer. What a petty and mean spirited GM! She would not give me my new CD so I asked to use the phone to call the police. The GM called them. The end of this story is that the returned my money and told me not to return to the bank. AS IF I WOULD STEP INTO SUCH A TOXIC BANK AS THIS! The long and short of this story is the GM was unprofessional in her conduct, was not agreeable in the least, and thus did not produce for the bank in which she worked. It seems that Phoenixville Bank simply doesn't need depositors. I took my checks to my other bank and they were stunned on how I was treated. Do you blame them?

So while I was visiting my parents in Collegeville I decided to finally do something with the huge jug of coins I had gathered and left there. I spent a few hours rolling the coins so that I could bring them in the following day and get some cash. When I brought it in I was told they didn't accept rolled coins and that I had to use their coin counting machine. So while I sat doing that, unrolling each roll of coins, Sheena was nice enough to come over and offer to help me do so when she was finished with who she was working with( she was the only one to offer, I did think someone else would've offered because it wasn't busy, but maybe they had other work, or maybe my expectations for customer service are too high) Then the machine broke. And several people came and tried different things to fix it. Now I was in a hurry, so I was slightly more frustrated than I had to be, it was out of anyone's control really. But that being said Sheena did her best to accommodate me and try and offer solutions to help while I was in a hurry. She was so friendly and was leagues above many in customer service. It's employees like her that keep customers happy and satisfied with your services. So thank you Sheena for being so helpful!
