I was stunned but paid because I didn't ask about pricing before the keys were cut. Just for comparison, I stopped at Ace Hardware the same day and had the same key duplicated for $3.59. Van's charge nearly 7 times the cost of the keys from Ace. They have lost my trust and business.

It was Sunday, and desperate, I called Walden's lock service despite the fact he was closed. Fortunately, he had compassion for my situation and made the time to drive out as soon as possible.
