Anthony was a life saver last night! We've had a string of bad happenings lately with a botched siding job in turn our whole attic molded. We had to rent an RV because we couldn't stay in the house and with kids, a dog and a completely flipped schedule I locked the dog inside the RV from skatter brain. Called a company prior to American Lock and Key and they had no clue how to open it. My husband was told of scam companies by Anthony and in true fashion of life right now lol we sat outside for an almost 2hrs watching a man hoping he didn't wreck the RV which we don't own. I found Anthony with a search and he came as quick as he could. When he did he was here and gone that's how well skilled he was which was such a blessing for us! Wouldn't use again. Got a quote for rekeying 5 or 6 locks, quote seemed fine per lock but then a 3 hour labor charge was added on top of the rekeying charges and the base service call charge. Labor charge was supposedly for removing and reinstalling the locks, no way he spent more than 30 mins actually doing anything but the actual rekey work. Also seemed very slow. Bad experience, I'll find someone else next time. read more

I have a fully functioning lock for my bathroom in a 100 year old house- but no key, so I'm afraid of someone locking themselves in there and my not being able to get in. This is especially critical because I'm a foster mom, and I tend to worry about things like a 5 year old having a meltdown after locking themselves in. Anthony is the best! He worked around my somewhat challenging work schedule to make a house call and found a fix for my problem right away, by carefully disassembling the lock and making a notch in the lock that a screwdriver could open. He's clearly passionate about what he does and has a real love for antique lock and key sets, which is cool. I'd love to have a skeleton key fabricated for the lock as well, just cause. I scheduled this company a month in advance to come out and rekey our entire new house as well as add a digital deadbolt. They confirmed and gave me a 2 hour window they'd arrive. The day off, the 2 hours came and went so I reached out via text to the number I had received the confirmation from to ask if they were still coming. I also called but their voicemail is full so was unable to get through or leave a message. No one showed for the time confirmed. Hours later I finally received a response, a phone call that lacked little remorse or reason for the lack of communication And failure to show -- they easily could have called the day before to reschedule if the tech was ill but chose to blow past the appointment, my outreach and attempts to get in touch and tried to reschedule after all that. Based on my experience I would not recommend. We went with Bell's instead. read more

We had an emergency in that I was cat sitting and lost the key to my neighbor's house. Called American Lock and Key and spoke to Anthony. He got the approval from my neighbor to let me in. He arrived promptly and quickly got to work. We were inside in less than a minute so I could feed those precious kitties. Anthony was courteous, knowledgeable and professional. He was rather quiet but very pleasant for 2:00am. Anthony provided updates throughout our appointment while he opened the door and re-keyed 4 locks. I hate to leave bad reviews but unfortunately my experience was not very positive. I called to get a quote over phone but had first to send all kinds of info before a quote was given after three hours. The quote was for duplicate car keys and was almost as high as the dealer. When I told them that this is the highest quote I have gotten besides the dealer they started claiming that the other locksmith services were scammers. I don't think this a good way to do business. read more

Due to a recent home invasion around the neighborhood, we decided to make sure our doors were extra secure by adding an additional lock to the front door and garage door. Anthony Leonardo is a registered locksmith, and very dedicated to his trait. He took his time in making sure that all the locks were secure, used high quality locks and provided a master key. He spent over 4 hours on two locks to make sure they were placed correctly, and in the most secure position possible. Surprisingly, when we got the total I was expecting to pay more. It was very affordable considering all the time, effort and materials that he put in. Anthony answered the phone on a late Sunday afternoon. I'd lost my house key, (and got screwed over by the first non-advert thing that came in Google). Anthony took a lot of time explaining things, and then replaced both lock cylinders at a very reasonable price. This aided my peace of mind after the previous guy sent out by a different outfit had screwed me, so I didn't want a lock that he had installed in one door, and I'd lost my key, so I wanted that lock changed too. read more

I approached Anthony with a special security need. Money and other valuables were stolen from my vehicle on more than one occasion. I needed to find a way to secure my valuables with a reasonable assurance that they would still be there when I returned to my vehicle. Anthony advised me to install a safe into the interior of my console There was no safe manufactured in the right size and with a heavy thickness of steel. This required that the safe be custom made in thick steel to the measurements of the interior of the console. My needs also required a high security lock to be installed in the safe. Anthony was able to provide that additional feature to the safe as well. He made sure to carry out the process with meticulous accuracy and attention to detail. After taking measurements, he had the safe custom built to fit my exact needs. My new safe arrived in a timely manner. Anthony then recommended the right people who did a top-of-the-line job installing the safe to the frame of the vehicle from inside the console. The installation took several hours. It went smoothly and successfully with no damage caused to the safe, the console or other parts of the vehicle. The safe is very solid and looks as if it is an original part of the vehicle! Anthony was able to get me exactly what I needed. I will hire him again for my next security need and will write a review of his work again. read more
