We had just put our house on the market and had our first showing (yay!) only to discover that the realtor left our house unlocked (boo!) because the front door key was so sticky that it wouldn't even LOCK! Fast forward to Sunday afternoon, I do a quick search on Angie's List and find Quick Key - within 30 minutes, their skilled tech, Chris, was at my house (in a professional van with their logo, clean clothes and friendly personality) fixing my front door lockset. It ended up being a more involved fix because there were several factors making the lock stick, but he explained each issue along the way, how he intended to solve it, and even sanded down a sliver of the wood jamb to alleviate some minor wracking that was contributing to the problem. The whole job took about 90 minutes and I saved 10% using an Angie's List ad coupon. I was worried they would charge a ridiculously high fee for "emergency" service and considered waiting to schedule the work on a weekday, but even their emergency service call fee was very reasonably priced - as was the repair - and I'm glad I didn't wait because we had more showings the next day. I called the Illinois Locksmiths Team to get an estimate on changing the locks at my rental place in west IL. They answered the phone promptly and were very informative. They offered to come to the apartment right then and there for a reasonable house call fee. it was great to get such a quick response as I was in town for a short period of time. The technician arrived at my place as scheduled and was very polite and was also very friendly. We discussed different option for locks and he quickly and professionally changed them after we agreed on what needs to be done. And another plus is that they accepts credit cards. I lost the only electronic key I had for my car. The dealership wanted to charge me twice the amount to get it replaced and I had to get the key cut first then put it in neutral for tow because they had to have the car there to program the key. The guy from chicagoland locksmith came out to help me, it took him maybe a half hour total. I didn't have to tow it and he gave me an extra key. Amazing!!! I couldn't have asked for better! I'm so happy, I really didn't have that extra money to spend on getting this silly key replaced, so it was awesome to only spend half the amount I thought I'd have to shell out! really nice guy too, so that doesn't hurt:) hopefully everyone sees this before they go to the dealership! read more

Their customer service person was very professional and arranged for a technician to come to my house on such short notice. i found Illinois locksmith team on Google, just moved from wheaten i was surprise that they service the area, Eli showed up on time change my locks and gave me some security advices,i used to live in a condo and moving to a house was a big different, much more doors haha, and each one of them was with a different key but with no problem Eli change some of them and rekey the rest and gave me 4 new keys that work on all 8 looks in the house he also helped me change my garage door code, and explain how to do it in the future, i was very happy and i only opened this account to give them this review i will recommend this business to any one. thx guys!!! read more

Great experience! Called in the AM and scheduled an appointment for the same day at 5pm (they would have come earlier but we didn't have the keys yet). We needed to rekey our new single family home. They called 30 min before to let me know the guy would be 30 min late, then again at that time to let us know he was on his way and about 10 min away due to traffic (it was 5:30pm, totally understandable). When he arrived, he waived the visit fee since he was late and gave us a discount for being on Yelp! Reasonably priced, the guy was extremely nice and knowledgeable and got the job done quickly. We called last night to have someone come out and rekey our home today. There is 24 hour service (so great!) and they got me scheduled for the next morning at the time I requested. Brittney came to our home exactly when scheduled and rekeyed 5 locks within an hour. She was pleasant and speedy. I would have preferred a little more information about the prices up front, but they did give me the 10% new mover discount mentioned on Yelp, when I asked. Clearly not thinking straight, I left my keys inside my house, and was locked out. Frantically freaking out (it's midnight...) I googled locksmith and came across Chicagoland Locksmiths and on a whim called. I forgot who answered the phone but he was very friendly and assured me someone would be out 15-20 minutes. I'm still memorized by my whole experience. Not too long ago, I got locked out of my house in Aurora. I was not in a good mood at the time, and then Amber showed up. I couldn't believe my eyes! Not only was she a locksmith, but a beautiful redheaded one at that! She smiled at me, and told me that everything was going to be ok. I immediately calmed down. She got me in my house in no time! I am so glad I called these guys! I was able to make an appointment quickly and received a phone call 10 minutes before they arrived to confirm everything. The technician was very knowledgeable and was able to help me troubleshoot an old model front door that I wasn't given keys to at the closing of my new house. In no time he made me a key to fit the door and installed new locks to the 3 entrances of the house. Great locksmith! I bought a new FOB online for my Pontiac G6 and brought it into Quick Key Locksmith to have it programmed. The technician came out and had my FOB programmed in less than 5 minutes! Quick Key did a great job with re-keying the locks on our new home. They came out right away when we called. Our tech was Bobby. In addition to just being a cool Hawaiian dude, his customer service was great. A small part broke in one of our older locks during the re-keying process but Bobby was on top of it.
