    Hallway out of theater

We went here to the movie theater to watch Toy Story five while in SC , we didn't know what to expect since we are not from the area and many other theaters had some less than perfect reviews. We had purchased tickets online and were able to easily print as we walked into theater. We had popcorn and drink which I thought to be reasonably priced at roughly 15$ we shared. Bathroom was clean and theater was clean. The seats reclined and were very comfortable for us. It wasn't overly crowded. It was a 1:40 matinee and tickets were around $10 each. Would def go here again! The outside of building may need a little facelift

Smells weird. Dirty. No beer/cider despite advertising they had it. Concessions employee (blonde girl) rude. Seats don't really recline and are super worn out. Won't return.

Standard theater with recliner seats and concessions. However, it's never clean. Popcorn is usually strewn about in the lobby, the counters where the soda machines are are always sticky, and the icee machine is usually not working properly. I continue to return because the ticket pricing and concessions are cheap.

Overall a decent theater. Came here a few times to see the Era's tour. Upon entry the lobby is okay, ordered popcorn and a soda for the movie. The first time I went I saw the movie in IMAX. The IMAX theater is pretty epic. Quality of seats, sound, and screen are on point. Clean theater, everything there was great. My only complaint is that the popcorn was pretty stale. We went on a Saturday afternoon so I would expect fresher popcorn. Second time went to the regular theater and it was still okay. It's not the worst I've been too and not the best. In between. My other ding for the star is the women's bathrooms could using a cleaning. At least from when I was there. So yeah if they made fresher popcorn and cleaned up the theater a bit it'd be great.

We went to see Wicked! Great picture, comfy recliners and clean. The price of popcorn, snacks and tickets were also very reasonable. We will be back for sure.

Ghostbusters Frozen Empire was a fantastic film with a nod to the new school and a blast to the past! It combined the new skool with the old skool. The sets, props, and tech was the perfect mixture of new technologies and old technologies. The characters were awesome! The movie going experience is always amazing at Citadel Mall Stadium 16! The tickets prices are decent! The concessions are a good price! Southeast Cinemas has very comfortable seats, friendly staff, an awesome lobby, and cool decor. Seeing movies at this theater is fun for the whole family!

This sign rubbed me the wrong way. The fact they used the word nasty and how this is written is very off putting. I would write something like this, "We strive to give you a 5-star experience. If there is an issue within the theater please let a member of management know. We will do our best to correct it ASAP. Thank you for choosing Citadel Movie blah blah blah." Something within that same concept. It doesn't call anyone out but lets everyone know management will try to give you a 5-star experience. Edit: Since I have taken this picture there have been 2 reviews of how dirty this place is even when speaking to a manager.

Really nice theater next to Citadel Mall. Plenty of parking. Ticket prices aren't bad, especially for matinees. Not the largest options at the concession stand, but they have the theater basics. The employee I talked to was very pleasant. Bathrooms are large and were clean when I visited. The individual theaters are smaller than I'm used to (at least the one I saw); about eight rows with 15 seats per row. Plenty of leg room and space between rows. The electric reclining seats are awesome! Makes for an enjoyable movie experience. The screen/movie quality was very good. Overall, this is a really good theater and I'll definitely be back for my next movie outing.

The planetarium up in the citadel mall , which is a ghost-town compared to its former self. There is a nice little reception area where you can purchase a few space theme items. The planetarium itself is a large blown up dome. You step inside and the whole ceiling space is the theater. We saw "The Hot and Energetic Universe". This program started out a little science heavy..think satellites and other space technologies, but ended with some very spectacular black hole and supernova graphics. The shape of the dome made the film almost 3D at times. After the film, we had an informative host person who showed and talked about the planets and stars that we can see from Charleston. My only complaint would be the chairs and having to look up for 45 minutes. My neck started to hurt after awhile. So much so that I can't give the venue 5 stars. Overall if you're into science or space, it's a fun way to spend some time.

It is four days of celebrities, international long and short films, an amazing venue in Charleston Music Hall and a networking event like no other. With an outdoor open reception, VIP area with socializing and long radio and TV coverage, this is the closest Charleston comes to Los Angeles. Whether you like short films, features, documentaries, animation, domestic or international, the schedule offers options for all ages. Tickets are available by block or complete access for the avid movie goer. This is four days a year in November that downtown Charleston comes alive. Some dress casual and some dress to the nines in evening gowns and tuxedos. Over the years the likes of Bill Paxton, Gail Ann Hurd (Walking Dead creator), Tom Berenger, Bill Butler and Marin Hinkle have donned the halls of this festival. If you are a fan of film, international cinema or feeling like a movie star, this is the once a year event to attend. Let us not forget some memorable after parties throughout the peninsula.

It's a small festival, and small isn't necessarily a bad thing, just depends on what you hope to accomplish and/or experience. If you want to watch movies, especially indie shorts, go to this festival. The screening schedule does not overlap, and there's only one screening venue, so you COULD watch every single movie if you wanted to. There is only one feature per night, so... four features total? Mostly all shorts with a handful of docs. This is NOT a festival for a mainstream movie lover. This is a great festival for no-name filmmakers looking to get a festival credit and get their film screened. That doesn't mean just any old movie gets accepted. The quality is actually pretty good. Still, mostly college filmmakers from what I saw. Another good thing about this festival is that it the workshops are free, and everything runs on schedule. Bravo. Each day, there's a VIP lounge, and no one's in there. The people who are in there are movie lovers, not so much filmmakers or industry people. Each night there is an after party at a swanky bar, and no one attends. No one in Charleston seems to know anything about the festival or that there is such a thing. Bad marketing. Badges are overpriced. Do purchase individual tickets to screenings... there's no reason to buy a badge. Still, nice little festival in a charming (but not very friendly to outsiders) town, but I wouldn't attend again.

The ship is birthed just across the Cooper from downtown Charleston at Patriots Point. Admission wasn't terribly expensive, THOUGH PARKING ACTUALLY COST MORE. That's right, the parking situation is a ripoff, particularly for anyone who might stay on site over two hours. Yorktown is a large combat ship built in the middle of a war several decades ago, so there are certain things you should expect. First, there will be plenty of walking, not to mention lots of stairs. There is an elevator installed for those who might need it, but keep in mind that individuals with mobility challenges will not get to see much of the ship. Secondly, the "Fighting Lady" is old, so you're going to see damage, missing parts, etc. Third, only a few areas onboard are air conditioned, and while there are a few areas with installed fans or access to fresh breezes you're likely to find the tight quarters of this WWII era carrier a bit stifling. All that said, it's quite remarkable to walk through the compartments and corridors, to stand on the flight deck, to see the numerous aircraft and artifacts displayed, and to enjoy some pretty lovely views of the Holy City and the Ravenel Bridge. There are four unguided tour routes aboard the ship. Tour 2 is largely focused on the pilot ready room, the flight deck and the spaces above; this is where you'll get the best views from aboard the ship. Tours 1 and 3 are concentrated on what makes the ship and its crew function. Tour 4 is probably the least interesting in my opinion, though it contained some interesting information about American naval history. There's also a destroyer berthed at Patriots Point, the Laffey, but she's currently closed to visitors. It's pretty easy to see from the exterior that the ship is in need of significant maintenance work. It's easy to buy admission tickets online, but you'll still have to enter and exit the complex through the gift shop. Once you get to the aircraft carrier and its hangar deck, that's where you'll get a map at the info desk. The gentlemen I encountered there was pleasant and helpful, far more so than the folks at the rear of the gift shop who scanned the QR code from my ticket.
