I was pleasantly surprised by this theatre. The reclining seats are very nice, however they could be cleaned better between screenings. But overall, the cleanliness wasn't bad. Which was good thinking because it saved me time waiting in line. Even though they were really busy the staff was friendly and helpful , and the overall atmosphere was welcoming. When I found my seat I was in love with the reclining feature. It was so comfortable and the theater was really clean. Watching "Wicked" in 3D was an unforgettable experience that truly brought the show to life. The sound quality was amazing and the visuals were stunning. He was told he wasn't able to bring those corrections (sugar) in with him and that he'd have to buy more there if needed. Took my nephews and kid to see movie. I loved the self serve popcorn station. And the fact it had a variety of popcorn seasonings. The seats were big comfy leather chairs and they reclined. We went during week day for 4pm showing. There was no line and only two other families there to watch movie. Only a 2-3 games actually worked or didn't just take my money. They should definitely get them fixed or changed out being that it's about 8 or less games. The bathroom cleanliness wasn't great but it wasn't horrible either. It needs a more attention. It's getting hot in here!! No, it was boiling hot in there. Our theater had no ac when it also happened to be the hottest day of the summer so far! A large group of us had bought tickets online for the 6:20 showing of Top Gun. I was super excited because I couldn't remember the last time I'd been to a movie in the theater. We checked in at the entrance, some got drinks, some used the bathroom we regrouped and headed to theater #5. On our way over we saw others walking out of their theaters with blankets. Great sign because it was 110 in the shade earlier that day! We started down the hallway to our theater and the heat began to hit us. We got to our seats and I was already sweating. It's was terrible in there. The movie started and the movie was really good, so I decided to withstand the heat. We stayed the entire movie and about halfway through we could hear, smell, and feel that the ac had come on inside our theater. I wondered why they didn't move us to a theater with a working AC unit, but with pre purchase and reserved seating I realized they can't just move the movie to a totally different theater room. One star for the stadium chairs and the fact we weren't on top of the person next to us. The other star for the ease of booking online. I don't know if there are any other theatres in the Charleston area with reclining seats so this movie theatre is always my first choice. Now that's out of the way, I do feel like this is a relatively clean theatre, tho I do not like how how messy the butter/seasoning area ALWAYS is. And if you want to buy food or drink, make sure you arrive at least 15 minutes ahead of your movie because the line gets backed up pretty easily and the teenagers who are working concession are in no rush to move things along nor do they know how to maximize efficiency. Me and my friends we not aware of the age policy, we went to see a movie that was starting at 4:55pm. We tried to go in and then we were denied entrance from someone stating we were not allowed in because the movie ended at 6:15pm. But online it says showings AFTER 6pm must be 17 or older. Then we were talking to the manager, and the worker Tracy or that's the name he gave us, he was being very very disrespectful. He was very aggressive when he was talking to us and also said "shut up and listen." I don't think Tracy should be in even talking to us. Great experience. I went and saw a matinee with a friend today and we were able to quickly purchase our tickets online before arriving at the theater. While we weren't able to sit together, that was more our fault for waiting until the last minute to get tickets. The total number of seats in each theater was less than I was expecting, but makes sense with all the comfortable recliners they have in there now. Focus seems to be on an improved experience per moviegoer rather than trying to cram in as many attendees as possible. A/C was fantastic and much appreciated in contrast to how hot it is outside currently. Concessions seemed reasonably priced, as far as movie theaters go, with a pretty standard selection of food and drinks, though I didn't get anything for myself as I'm trying to be a little more health conscious. read more

I took my grandchildren to see Capt. Marvel, I ordered my tickets online and I even got to pick our seats. The process was easy, I just had to show my online purchase confirmation number at the ticket booth and we got our tickets. I fed the kids first so I wouldn't spend $12,000 on concessions, we gingerly tippy toed past the popcorn and headed to our theater. The theater was huge, clean, roomy, and comfortable. I was impressed. The kids loved their moving leather recliners and wouldn't stop moving forward and backwards for 2 hours. I was getting vertigo just looking at them from the corner of my eye. The sound and the picture quality were great especially during the action and fighting scenes. It almost felt like we were at home ( with the exception of the moving recliners because we would not allow that mess at home). Upon exiting the theater we saw the arcade where the kids played a few games. I even won a little yellow bouncy ball for my other grandson. The children had a great time and it was an awesome movie. We didn't notice any messes or movie disruptions since we attended during the matinee. We will definitely return. read more

First time at Northwoods Mall movie theatre and I have to say I was most impressed with the seating here. Those chairs are fabulous, so much so I didn't want to get up after the movie. They recline and have a foot stool. How cool is that. Apparently these seats are in every cinema here. Mt. Pleasant movie theatres could learn a lesson here and install them. I'm sure they would boost ticket sales and customer satisfaction. The seats are the reason for my four stars. The movie theatre was quite busy today and as a result I noted trash all over the floor. Popcorn everywhere. What a pity. Northwoods theatre is a big complex with a huge variety of movies and times. Maybe I got a different theater than last time, but this seat was way better than the first time I sat in them. I met a few friends for a morning movie and was surprised to see how many matinees they offered! The prices for an early movie are very reasonable, I believe $6.75/pp. The theater does have you purchase specific seats online vs finding seats when you arrive. Not a huge fan of that, but I get it. The popcorn was really good! I'm not usually into popcorn due to being so salty, but it wasn't at all. Keep in mind if you order tickets online, you go inside to retrieve them from a machine. I wish the window was open so we could have left our friend's ticket out there since he was running behind. Instead we had to come back up to get him. They have super awesome comfortable recliner seats here!!! 'Nuf said! This is the only movie theater in town that I know of that offers them and boy are they comfortable! With a push of a button to the left or right, you can pretty much lie down and make yourself at home. The seats are also larger than your standard ones and even with the seat fully extended, other movie goers can pass by you without having to get up! In addition to watching an awesome movie, my comfort level was through the roof. This theater isn't as pretty or as big as Regal Cinema 18 and its design is a little tacky, but the addition of these recliner seats have won me over! What's also nice is that they didn't even jack up the prices so going here is about the same price as other theaters. It cost me and my friend $25 for 2 tickets to watch Guardians of the Galaxy 2 in 3D on a Saturday night. I recommend trying out this theater for those recliner seats and making yourself at home! read more
