One of the best local movie theaters! This place is unique, adorable, quirky and offers a great (not overpriced) concession stand for popcorn and drinks. I've seen a few great movies here like Labyrinth, Rocky Horror Picture Show, and Sinners with family and friends. Highly recommend!

We spend SO MUCH time here. I'm not sure how I've not written a review for it yet. We watch scary movies, A LOT. The terrace is always our go to spot. The service is amazing. The people who work in there are so friendly and actually know about the movies they are showing. When you walk in you are transported to the perfect place to watch movies new and old! Also if you love a wild live performance check out their Rocky Horror Picture show they do every month! It's a wild evening with great company.

Buyer be aware ! Granted i went to see a Disney movie in a very tiny theater! I am 60 and should have known better! This cutest little 3 year old girt kept putting her hand on my shoulder and her mother could not control her children! The 5 year old was elbows on my other shoulder! He wouldn't shut up! The reality, to expect parents to control their children has been a challenge for centuries! ! If you are over 60 and this bothers you don't go to a children's movie! Lesson learnt. Especially on New Year's Day!

We've been going to the Terrace for years. Every time we walk through the tunnel and up to the snack bar, we feel like we're back on a high school date. The Terrace is a reminder of a simpler time, before HUGE movie theaters, Fandango, and before seats became couches. Yes, the Terrace has been around since '95 and hey, what a great time for movies. We'd specifically like to compliment the Terrace on having big studio/mainstream movies rather than just being an "indie" theater. They host both big and small movies with equal enthusiasm. Patrons are excited to be there and you'll hear some movie chatter every time you're waiting in line to buy tickets. Specifically, we love the Terrace for the kitschy lobby movie items like old projectors and "cans." You feel like you're in some eccentric millionaires home...and that rich bastard just LOVES movies. You would NEVER see an old subway movie poster at a big chain theater. VERY cool. We notice a new, nostalgic item every time we go. Speaking of the lobby, plenty of choices for soda, booze, and candy. We love that they carry cold Dr. Brown's Cream Soda. Who has two thumbs and woulda guessed that Dr. B's went so well with popcorn? We look forward to our next flick, popcorn bucket, and cold cream soda.

This is my favorite local theater. They have a cute seating area, games, snacks, drinks, wine, and beer. The theaters are cozy but comfortable. The staff is very nice. I highly recommend going here if you get the chance! Plan to spend some extra time enjoying the games and cute seating areas.

Not too busy on Monday night at the late showing. Pick a seat! I've not ever had a "bad" experience here, but it does lack some niceties. Like, parking is a challenge, especially on the weekends. The snack bar lives up to its name so don't expect a hot dog or chicken fingers to go with your beer or wine selection. And where the heck is the "Claw Grab" game? Gotta try it at least once in hopes of bringing my pup a prize. Not to say I won't be back...I surely will.

Super cute old timey theater with retro decor and classic movie theater snacks and offerings. Popcorn and Candy seemed standard for movie theater pricing. Movie tickets were $11 and theaters were pretty small. Vibe was overall great and I look forward to returning!

Awesome classy fun nostalgic theatre, hip, concessions are pricey, artsy, cool, film festivals, indie, b films, etc

Meet the Feebles, more 80s throwback films, more variety needed. Nice staff. More events with guests would boost attendance.

Cute, vintage theater! The theatre rooms are smaller than what I expected, but it added to the ambiance!

The annual Charleston International Film Festival is one of the most exciting and unique events…read moreannually in Charleston. It is four days of celebrities, international long and short films, an amazing venue in Charleston Music Hall and a networking event like no other. With an outdoor open reception, VIP area with socializing and long radio and TV coverage, this is the closest Charleston comes to Los Angeles. Whether you like short films, features, documentaries, animation, domestic or international, the schedule offers options for all ages. Tickets are available by block or complete access for the avid movie goer. This is four days a year in November that downtown Charleston comes alive. Some dress casual and some dress to the nines in evening gowns and tuxedos. Over the years the likes of Bill Paxton, Gail Ann Hurd (Walking Dead creator), Tom Berenger, Bill Butler and Marin Hinkle have donned the halls of this festival. If you are a fan of film, international cinema or feeling like a movie star, this is the once a year event to attend. Let us not forget some memorable after parties throughout the peninsula.

Go to this festival if you want to watch movies. Do not go to this festival if you want to network…read moreor get your film bought. It's not THAT kind of festival. It's a small festival, and small isn't necessarily a bad thing, just depends on what you hope to accomplish and/or experience. If you want to watch movies, especially indie shorts, go to this festival. The screening schedule does not overlap, and there's only one screening venue, so you COULD watch every single movie if you wanted to. There is only one feature per night, so... four features total? Mostly all shorts with a handful of docs. This is NOT a festival for a mainstream movie lover. This is a great festival for no-name filmmakers looking to get a festival credit and get their film screened. That doesn't mean just any old movie gets accepted. The quality is actually pretty good. Still, mostly college filmmakers from what I saw. Another good thing about this festival is that it the workshops are free, and everything runs on schedule. Bravo. Each day, there's a VIP lounge, and no one's in there. The people who are in there are movie lovers, not so much filmmakers or industry people. Each night there is an after party at a swanky bar, and no one attends. No one in Charleston seems to know anything about the festival or that there is such a thing. Bad marketing. Badges are overpriced. Do purchase individual tickets to screenings... there's no reason to buy a badge. Still, nice little festival in a charming (but not very friendly to outsiders) town, but I wouldn't attend again.

It was our first time there so we were super excited. I purchased our tickets online so we could secure our seats in the top row. My grandson likes to stand and dance during movies so I like to get us seats where he doesn't obstruct / disturb anyone's views ( He has sensory processing disorder so he's hyper) it was such a fun experience. The 3D effects really added to the adventure--bright colors, fast-paced scenes, and those classic Mario world details felt like they were popping right off the screen. The price was a little steep $38 dollars for 2 but I guess thats the price for a cool little experience. The 3D view made the whole movie feel more immersive and playful, especially during the action sequences. I never knew Princess Peach had an older sister Princess Rosalina and we absolutely loved Yoshi!! The theater itself was clean, comfortable, and the snacks were well-organized. There were clear bins at the end of the counters for both children and adult sized 3d glasses. There were also bins outside of theater #10 for you to place your used 3d glasses in once the movie ended. The Sound quality was strong, and the visuals were sharp, which made the 3D experience even better. We met some cool little kids in the movies so it was a really enjoyable experience for my grandson and that's what's important to me. I am his only friend and he's only 8yrs old. The theater staff kept things moving smoothly, and it was an easy, enjoyable outing from start to finish. If you're looking for a light, entertaining movie night with a little extra visual punch, this is definitely the way to see it. The only down side was we missed the recycling electric chairs. My grandson usually moves his chair up and down constantly through each movie we watch..this time he just stood and danced. 5/5 -Friendly Staff 5/5-Cleanliness 5/5 Handicapped parking 3/5 Price 4/5 Snacks and Prices.
