I came here needing to make a payment on a safe deposit box at another faraway branch that has been a thorn in my side for a few years. Long story short... Kevin and Theresa were AMAZING. There was an issue with the payment system and they went out if the way to speak to a banker at the other branch, and squared everything away, and FedExed my check to them free of charge. They were friendly, professional, and went out of their way to help me. We even had nice friendly and casual conversation afterwards. It felt good to not be rushed out, but rather, embraced with kindness. I can't recommend this branch enough if you're in the area. The place is easy to get to, clean, and everyone is nice. If I could give zero stars, I would. This Citibank branch in Diamond Bar is an absolute joke when it comes to customer service, professionalism, and honoring their own promises. A banker here got me to sign up for a checking account promotion by promising a $750 bonus if I deposited a lot of $. Trusting them, I promptly deposited the full amount within a week. When I asked the original banker to confirm everything was set up properly for the bonus, she completely ghosted me, red flag number one. Fast forward 4 months (the required promotion period), and surprise, surprise: no bonus. When I called the branch, I was told the original banker left and I had a new banker. For two months, this new banker gave me the absolute runaround. She ignored half my calls, kept saying she was "working on it," claimed she talked to the branch manager, and then stopped answering me altogether. When I finally managed to get the branch manager on the phone, his behavior was appalling. He was completely rude, hostile, incredibly unpleasant, and to top it all off, he hung up on me and refused to help resolve an issue caused by his own staff. They are more than happy to take your money, but when it's time to pay out what they promised, they hide, ignore you, and hang up on you. Please be aware of this place. I had a horrible experience with the manager, I can't remember his name but he was an Asian male, around late thirty's early fourties. The coward has 0 respect. He doesn't care if you're a customer. He doesn't care about courtesy or doing his job properly. He cut me off 3 times while I was talking to him and would not let me explain my situation, he tried assuming things and would not let me talk. I said are you going to let me explain or you just going to keep cutting me off ? And he really said no it's cause I already know what you're going to say, and he didn't . Then when he found a way to kick me out the branch he did it cause all it took was 1 curse word and I was fed up with his crap.. Of course I got upset I drove to the bank there and wasted my time for nothing when I did nothing wrong. It's a pretty good location. I mean right off of grand literally and the intersection of Diamond bar boulevard. It's not a drive-thru Bank you have to park and walk up. And you're sharing a parking lot with Bank of America and Walmart. They do have three stalls I believe are dedicated for Citibank customers. Plenty of parking. Brand-new branch and so friendly service. The inside is so beautiful and clean and spacious and bright. They have the automatic doors where you slide your card to get at night. They also have greeters at the door during the daytime. Now if they only have enough traffic maybe they would put out some refreshments. read more

Came here to request return on Non-Sufficient Funds fee. Branch manager DID NOT put any effort in assisting. Said that he tried requesting but got decline and there's nothing he can do with it. What horrible customer service from Hiba! I came in to cash in a check. She said she needed to verify it- no problem I take a seat and assumed that it would take no more than 15 minutes. Boy was I wrong! After 35 minutes I finally get up to see what was the hold up. She instead assisted someone else and that took another 15 minutes! She seriously needs to be retrained because it is quite obvious that she doesn't NOT know how to multitask nor be efficient with her time management in helping customers. I voiced my frustration of waiting so long, and instead of apologizing she became hostile and very rude. She yelled at me for not looking at her as she counted my money. Did I mentioned she asked me for my social security number prior to handing me my money?! Save your time and go to another branch. If I could rate 0 stars, I would. I spent waiting in line with 5-6 other customers for about 45mins because there was only one teller and the other was out to lunch. She spent that entire time attending this one indecisive customer who didn't know what he wanted to do. While the manager was just standing around "managing." Such poor customer service and common sense. I'm sacrificing my lunch break to rush to get things done since I can never go after work, and these idiots can't even handle one customer efficiently. This Citibank is fairly new so the inside is updated and modern compared to other locations I frequent. It's also bigger inside as well. I like the fact that they have the ATM machine inside the building and have the card security door entry. I make deposits though the ATM frequently so I have peace of mind when depositing after hours. My most recent visit inside the branch was pretty quick. I had an issue with my account and the teller was able to help me instead of having me sent to a banker. I've been a customer with other banks in the past, but Citibank is the only one that has given me the perks and excellent customer service that continues on a consistent basis. I like the fact that the service they give you makes you feel that they are a small sized bank and they cater to your personal needs because of the few customers, but to know that they are are a large scale bank and still can provide me the best service is what makes me stick around. #HappyCustomer read more

Nice clean Bank but lousy service and disinterested tellers! I tried for 45 minutes to call into Citibank customer service to report a lost credit card. After the girl hung up on me twice I decided to drive down to Citibank Branch in Diamond Bar to report my card was missing. I went to the Teller. She just sat there did not look up when I went to her counter. The place was not busy, and I can understand why. I had to say "are you working or not?" . Then I explained I wanted to report my lost credit card. She said she couldn't and wouldn't help me as the Bank is not part of Citicards. I came to this bank when they had a cash promotion for new accounts. Jason was assigned to help me open them. He kept asking for so many things to prove my identity that I had to come back and forth for additional paperwork. Frustrated, I talked to the manager to help me instead. The male manager looked nice and friendly, but I was shocked when he requested more paperwork from me like: If I was a full-time student, was I in the military, 1099-interest forms from other banks, utility bills, property tax bills (he could not even find my address in the property tax bill), and so on. Eventually, I politely told him to forget the whole thing, saying that it was no wonder that I did not see any walk-in customers, though I had been there for an hour. He said that the bank did not need them, since they mostly dealt with international clients. Speechless, I shook my head, and I brought the entire folder of paperwork to another Citibank in Rowland Heights. The girl there helped me, only needing to take my driver's license and the last year of my tax returns. I got to open both savings and checking within only 20 minutes. I sent an email complaint to their headquarters about this issue. When I came back later with my husband to the Rowland-Heights branch for his accounts, the same girl told me that everyone had a good laugh when reading my email about that manager. read more

I feel a bad writing a poor review of this place because the customer service and short lines are wonderful. The problem is really that, if you are trying to do your banking online, their website is awful. This is not my main bank account and I don't carry around the ATM card, but their site is constantly trying to verify my identity with my ATM. Also, when I've gone into the bank to try to unlock my account, they don't have any control over the online banking system. Other banks I use don't seem to have these same issues. I have been a customer of Citibank here in Diamond Bar for several years now. This branch location is fairly new and always clean. I have had terrific customer service with 99% of the bank tellers. I did have one incident with Swapna the branch manager. She was a bit abrasive when I mentioned an isolated issue I was having with my online banking login, it wasn't over the top, however . . I expect a little more compassion when dealing with banking issues. It seems that she has worked on things and improved on that issue. The other gentleman in the cubicle glass office came over and fixed the online banking issue immediately. I was so impressed with his service that I ignored the initial response I had encounter with the manager earlier in the visit. I started to take notice of how things are handled at this bank, just for checks and balances sake. HahA! I am always greeted with a smile and delightful courtesies. During my visits, I have experienced little to no wait time. The tellers always go out of there way to make small talk and improve the relations. I do appreciate this bank location. I have past experiences with many other banking institutions and find this Citibank to be great !! Swapna is thee worst manager of any business I have ever seen! No offense to the entire bank because mostly everyone is actually very courteous but this woman takes the cake. My husband and I came in about a month ago to join accounts and Jay helped us do so and ordered checks. He was very nice and helpful but we asked him to order checks for specifically my husbands account and not our joint account. He gave us the wrong checks which led us to today's disastrous meeting with Swapna. We let her know that we were there to order the correct checks and because we have citigold we qualify to receive them for free. Not only was she telling us that everything was our faults but she even went as far as to raise her voice to us. In complete shock I just laughed because this woman is absolutely insane. How dare she have the audacity to yell at us and tell us that we have to take responsibility for Jays mistake? She was not helpful the first time we came to the bank she has absolutely no idea how to do her job. She actually argued with us for 30 min and for being a manager she is absolutely unprofessional and an absolutely horrible customer service worker. Wow she should be fired. read more

I would give - star if I can. Lousy and nosy business in the name of "we just have to ask"... I wanted to open a checking account. A rep with last name Yang received us. First question was "who are banking now?", 2nd question is "what is your purpose of opening an account now?". Felt odd but it's understandable. So I said; just regular banking stuff, like putting money in and use money on expenses stuff." The rep gave me a expression like I'm odd, and said he still need to ask what is my specific purpose. I said for sure not for criminal purpose. He gave me a cold look and insisted that he has to ask my purpose according to banking regulations. I felt offended and upset. Especially I don't have any specific purpose. Is it something wrong with him, CitiBank, the financial regulation, or me?
