Although I opened my accounts up at other NBT locations in NY and MA, I have recently ended up at…read morethe Nashua branch on a couple of occasions for transactions. Ive used a teller to handle either deposits that I did not want to put through an ATM or some other transaction like a bank check. The tellers have always been outgoing, friendly and efficient. Its worth noting that the customer service by this branch's staff is exceptional. On one notable occasion I had to get a sizable bank check and the teller was fairly new and still training. Unbeknownst to me they had given me the check without a signature on it. I left the bank and had already driven away when the bank manager called my cell to ask me to return and get the check signed. They were very apologetic and handled the situation professionally. The way in which they handled it actually left me with a positive impression that overshadowed the inconvenience of the original mistake. This location is on main street in downtown Nashua. Parking is either metered street parking or the city garage. ATM is the "enhanced" kind that does not require envelopes for deposits. If youre in the area looking at banking options, I recommend NBT. They are a little bigger than a local but smaller than the mega giants.

My spouse signed up for Granite State a few years ago for a home equity loan and later a car loan…read more He was thoroughly impressed with throughout the process. I personally didn't have to interact with them so didn't write a review. I just got a car however, and the dealership rates where high so looked into GSCU and there rates were much better especially if you do auto deposit and get an extra .25 better rate. Granite State was incredibly fast, and responsive throughout every step and even helped let us know when our dealer either mistakenly or intentionally was trying to charge us for things they shouldn't be. Each time we called, we got a real person very quickly and they were very knowledgeable and helpful. Where dealerships try to nickel and dime, I felt at least with the financing I had a partner in the process looking out for my best interest. While I still plan on our using our larger bank for my main checking/savings, because I do 99% online, and the larger bank can do high mobile upload limits and ATMs everywhere when traveling, I love Granite State, and will continue to use them anytime we can for loans and similar transactions. Highly recommended. To note, we dealt with the Derry location, though my spouse mostly uses the Manchester, so we can attest to both of those locations, I think they have a third somewhere too.

Been a citizens bank customer for a long time, but if this location was my first introduction to…read moretheir bank I probably would've gone elsewhere. Came here on a Saturday morning with my son to cash a bunch of savings bonds and open up a savings account for him. TWO HOURS of our lives we will never get back. Yes I said TWO. The struggle is real here people. There were 3 tellers behind the counter and only one person in the offices who has the ability to help customers open accounts. So while we waited for over an hour to open an account, we got to hear what each of them did the night before, what they wanted to order for lunch, etc.... Not only was the wait painful, but listening to one of the tellers who was completely full of herself talk about herself over and over, "I can't believe I'm eating this, I have a photo shoot this afternoon" made it even worse. Gross. Unfortunately, when we got there, there was already another mother with her daughter doing the exact same thing. 2 videos later, and a review of every account she could possibly open, it was our turn. While I think it's great that he was explaining all of their options, knowing that several other people were waiting, he should've given them all the materials to take home and review rather than reading through each of them with them! When my son and I sat down he apologized for the long wait, explaining that he was the only one on that day who could open accounts. Yeah we get it, but improvise and make it happen. Waiting over an hour to open an account is ridiculous, period. The next hour was spent opening my sons account and repeatedly correcting the gentleman with what WE actually wanted or what he was supposed to be typing..... I had to remind him 3 times to put in the correct address. Ugh I will never return to this location again, ever. I can only hope I don't have the same experience at another location because I will be forced to changed banks if that happens.
