I arrived to nail salon informed it would be a 20-30 min wait. No problem I can wait. I wanted a pedi and mani done and so did the customer that was behind me and was told the same thing. We get seated beside each other as we waited for our pedi. One of the employees tells Sally an employee to work on my nails, I wanted a gel mani while the lady beside me wanted a dip mani. Sally goes back and forth between us and picks the dip mani over me. I know gel is less compared to dip but that doesn't matter I had arrived first and the other customer didn't have an appointment either so what was the problem? Then Sally was rushing the whole time and messed up the ladies nails. Happy I didn't have to experience that. Would not recommend her at all. My pedi lady was amazing & apologized about what happen. Didn't get a mani due to time. read more

Just left the salon after waiting in a chair for 20 minutes. I walked in, told to fill out a form and take a seat. There was no checking in, no one asked what I wanted, and therefore no one told me how long the wait would be. After 10 minutes waiting in the chair I was offered something to drink. 5 more minutes they offered to let me start soaking me feet and that person walked away. The water basin over flowed because no one was paying attention. I was told my tech was polishing someone else's nails then coming to me and when I look over she is still grooming the nails for polish. After that I decided to leave. They did not try to keep me there or apologize for what occurred. Maybe it's different when they're not as busy or you have an appt but my experience was horrible. read more

I usually do not leave reviews but what I experienced today was beyond poor customer service. This Is my second time coming to this nail bar my first experience with Andy was amazing which is why I made another appointment with him. My appointment was at 4 he did not come and start with me un til 430 was rushing me to prop my feet up so he could remove my polish. I picked my color and he took his cart and started helping another lady that had just walked in and sat down. I felt as if my time was not valued and I was dismissed. You only get one time to treat me that way so I will never be going back again. I dried off my feet and left no one said anything or apologized. Tony is the best!!! I have gone to literally of the nail salons in Forney and this one keeps me coming back, I get my nails done every month so I know a good nail tech when I met one. Drinks are good, people are so friendly (especially to kids) but if there is one thing I could recommend them working on improving is there pedis. They are good but sometimes I feel like they could have "scrubbed a little hard" if that makes sense. Anyways great place read more

I am giving it three stars because the guy who did my nails actually did a good job and was very friendly. I got dip powder and they turned out so pretty! However, the owner is a totally different story. He's a bit rude and not as friendly/welcoming. He never smiled the whole time I was there and barely acknowledged me. I also watched him get upset at the pizza delivery guy because he forgot the cheese and pepper packets. If the owner was friendly I would definitely give this place 4-5 stars but I really didn't feel welcome there. I most likely won't be going back. read more

The new nail salon is very nice, modern & sleek. However, with the experience that I have had at all of the other "New" & Established" nail shops in Forney, this owner's attitude is very snobby and unfriendly which creates an unwelcoming atmosphere. I received a full set and pedicure and the guy that did this for me did a great job and I tipped him well. But I will not return again because I have gone there twice (thinking I may have over reacted), but NO, I don't like the owner's personality and it appears that he may be somewhat racist, I'm just saying....he turned down two African American women because it was 20 minutes before closing and I witnessed two white women coming in afterwards and he squeezed them in. Maybe it was the type of service they were seeking, however his demeanor is ugly. I'll stick with Oasis, customer service is everything. read more

Yes the place looks really nice and so are the workers, but I paid $50! For a pastel purple, coffin nails, and this is what..... I was Continuously rushed to pick a color even after I said I wasn't ready, and when I finally picked out a color they didn't even do the right color, and when I went back to get them re-done she just filed a little bit off the top, this looks absolutely terrible, not even the shape looks good, wish I got a refund I'm not saying all of them can do nails good .... but I don't have the name of the one that did mine read more

I've had some bad luck with nail salons lately and I think this place broke my streak! There was a bit of a wait for a manicure but I didn't have a appointment so it's no big deal. I can't do the citrus water soak because it irritates my skin but it was quickly changed out. I loved how the guy doing my nails communicated with me during the entire manicure. After having my cuticles torn out by a different nail salon, this place was a nice breath of fresh air. read more

I'm a regular at Citrus and have enjoyed coming here. However, I am very disappointed in the recent service and management's response to my complaints. I recently got a shellac manicure and regular pedicure. After putting my nails in the UV light, the polish shrunk and clearly wasn't of good quality. The technician insisted that adding another coat would do the trick. Wrong. Within minutes after leaving the salon the polish chipped, shrunk, and wrinkled. Also, my toe nails polish had been ruined within 5 hours. I took photos and called citrus the very next day. I explained the situation and told them that I was heading out of town and would need to get my nails redone at a salon near the airport and was not going to be able to go back to Forney for them to redo it. The manager gave me her number and I asked that I text her the photos. I did. She said, "I don't whatyo say. I'm so sorry about that. Come whenever you can. We make it up for you. I'm so sorry we can't do refunds but we will do for you for free whenever you come back. Thank you so much for letting us know." I thanked her and told her I'd go back. Fast forward two weeks. I go to citrus for a shellac manicure and regular pedicure. My understanding is that Citrus, "will do for me for free." Wrong. They insisted on charging me $45 for the products used on my pedicure. Are you kidding me? You ruined my manicure and pedicure, which costs $92, then I had to go to another salon to get it fixed before my flight, which cost me $55, and then Citrus charged me $45 for product? For some lotion and oil? Even though I was told that my next visit would be free. Just wow. Horrible customer service and condescending tone. The manager spoke to me as if I was an idiot who didn't understand what she was saying. I explained to her that I understood very clearly what she was saying but that it made absolutely zero sense. I have been to this nail salon once a month since they opened. I am very particular about my mani/pedi and won't allow some tools to be used on my nails or skin. They always remember my preferences and don't make a big deal about meeting my needs. This place is spotless, has brand new equipment and all of the sponges, nail files and pumice stones are disposable- or they will give them to you to take home. I've been a loyal customer here for over a year since we moved FORNEY. The service I requested was $65. $40 dips and $25 for a polish change on toes. The tech took 1 1/2 hours to finish my dips. Then added $10 more for that service. They told me the reason for the added charge was because I got gel polish which I did not, it was colored acrylic powder they used, And also for long nails. My nails are medium length. The woman then held up her middle finger to me and told me this is a long nail. She flipped me off. My nails are nowhere near as long as hers. Needless to say I didn't get the polish changed on my toes. I give negative stars to Citrus Nail bar in FORNEY. I paid $57 for a $40 service. It's not about the money. It's the fact that I was quoted a price before the service, they have it all listed out on a form that you fill out before your service, and then falsely up charged for make-believe services. I sat in there waiting for over 40 minutes, the workers kept telling me 10 more minutes, but kept letting people who didn't have an appointment who just walked in to before me. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Me and 3 other girls were going to get our nails and toes done and looking for somewhere to go. We called up to citrus and they said come in because there was no wait. We went in and they sat us separately and we waited about 30 minutes for them to come turn on the water for our pedicures. After that was finished we went and sat to get our nails done. The lady upcharged me $5 for a coffin shape which was fine. My 2 girls that were also getting their nails done showed their nail techs their picture multiple times. Both of them processed to mess up and had to restart then were being hateful because they didn't say anything beforehand. When it was time to pay they added a $30 "service fee" to remove one of my girls previous nails so they could glue more on. When I asked why it was so much she told me the total again and went to another customer to assist them. This is the WORST nail salon I have been to because of how rudely we were treated and all of the extra fees they charge. read more

I do recommend the Citrus Nail Bar, however, I do so with reservations. They do amazing work! I have loved my nails every time I've gone over the last few months. The pedicures are fantastic! I love Ann!! I would like to caution that many of their nail dips have an up charge so be careful when choosing. My biggest issue with this place, is that there is almost always a wait of at least 15-20 minutes. I have been different days, at different times, and 4 out of 5 times I've had to wait at least 15+ minutes. This past Sunday, they opened at 11am. I arrived at 11:07 only to be told that there were 5 people in front of me because 6 of their technicians had not shown up. I waited 30 minutes and still no service. I eventually left. I understand having a wait, that's why I waited 30 minutes, but to not have your employees show up on one of your busiest days, is just unacceptable. So many people were turned down or left during the 30 minutes I sat there. The employees were super nice about the situation, but if you cannot make it during the day M-F, I'd ensure you have plenty of time to wait. read more

I'm very very picky about my nails. They did exactly what I asked. They don't talk non stop to each other loudly across the room. Very customer service oriented and polite. Management seems to treat their employees well. They honor appts, quote accurate wait time. Keep you posted on when they'll get started on you. Tried out the new place in town. Total mistake. The pedicure lady was rude, she couldn't do a french manicure on my toes because they were "too small", but for my entire adult life I have been having french manicure on my toes, and my new set on my nails were subpar. THEN, they charged me TWICE, told me they didn't. I called my bank and my bank verfied they did in fact charge me twice. Called nail place back and he again demanded they didn't and HUNG UP ON ME! This place needs some serious help! Never going back, and I urge you to not go in this place. read more
