I waited a while to do this but…read morebasically last Tuesday on 01/08/2025 I thought to go get a pedicure everything was fine until she started cutting my toenails, she cut my cuticle really deep causing me to react and bleed.I told her that hurt and she kept going then proceeded to do a poor paint job. Long story short it's been a week and my cuticles on both big toes are still super inflamed and maybe infected. Even then they partially gave me my money back and profusely apologized but I still was unsatisfied so this is just for everyone thinking about going there I will now probably have ingrown toenails for a long time thanks to this place. I met Ruby who is the new owner, Jessica, Ruby's husband Daniel and their daughter. Very nice people! Ruby did my nails and OMG, she did great!! She takes great pride in her work! The only reason why I didn't give them 5 stars is because it's not a fancy salon like most are nowadays and I know a lot of people look for that. I got dip powder for mani, gel for my pedi and paid $70! That included the tip! I've paid up to $100 at the fancy salons and the pedi's are not gel! There were only 2 technicians this night so I did wait a long time before I was serviced but it was fine. I really needed this. I had been sick and hadn't been for a pedicure in 2 months and I wasn't feeling myself and she fixed me right up. The shop could use some tidying up. There was polishes all over the places. The pedicure chairs are amazing, it worked the kinks in my shoulders out. Now my negative. I don't think technicians should be having loud conversations with customers on politics. To join in as a customer is expressing her dislike for America and how she's from Jamaica and they aren't like Americans. I felt like this was extremely offensive and inappropriate. I was so uncomfortable. I tried to drown out her cackling with my beats but I could still hear her mouth over the podcast. Maybe no one does regular nail polish anymore and maybe this is why our result was so disappointing but we paid $90+ for just a reg. mani and pedi. They rushed through the painting process- bubbles and missed lines and missed cuticles- like obvious missed cuticles- bc I understand that nothing is perfect. And the lady doing my toes was angry and slammed the nail polish down on the table when handing it off to the other lady. Made me feel very uncomfortable and also nervous for the rest of the appointment, which proved to be true. My daughter wanted just a cute starfish on each ring finger but got a 20 min "best try" from a nail tech and it honestly looks more like a toddler abstract doodle. Sad that I paid for this and sad that my daughter's nails look like this for her first time getting her nails done. We will not be coming back. Customer service trash, professionalism trash and the attention to detail for my very simple nails…read moretrash. The lady at the front sits me in a place that's not clean. Then proceeds to tell me "you can move up" like clearly I will move up when you have removed everything from the previous service. I would never suggest this place to anyone! Too busy focused on her phone and her desire to finish her own nails that she rushed mine and didn't care how they looked. My gel polish is lifting less than 24 hours later.
