If you want some good food, this is the place to go! Both their lunch and dinner options will leave you wanting more - which is a good thing if you go during lunch (it's buffet style). The food is incredible; I could not believe I had not tried it before as I live 9 minutes away. A couple friends and I were staying nearby and were craving a warm meal after being snowed in. Citrus looked inviting and lively from the get-go, and our waiter was very friendly. I ordered the Dal Makhani and split a side of Naan. The food took a while to arrive, approximately 20-30 minutes. The Dal Makhani was delicious - several types of lentils cooked in makhani. The serving size seemed small at first, but ended up being perfect. Naan was average but had no issues with it - each order of Naan came with 4 pieces and 2 pieces was perfect for me. Our waiter was very gracious with refilling our rice bowl as well. Even though Citrus has Indian and Thai cuisine, my whole table ordered from the Indian side of the menu. Someone ordered "Shrimp Fried rice" which I had before and it was delicious. However after a year decide to get it again it was not the same and it was the nastiest thing I ever ate. check the menu and it doesn't have a Shrimp Fried Rice. if I could leave no star I would . i found a almost cracked my teeth ona pretty decent size tamarind pit and or could of swallow or choked on it . i told my waiter who didn't say a word just walked away and got a mgr I guess cause he never introduced himself and did not seem concerned at all said it was ok in which I said NO it's not ok he tokd me it was a tamarind pit which If I didn't know what it was would not be able to understand him but I knew and said yes I know what it's from but it doesn't belong in my food I can choke on it or break my teeth or swallow it ! he then walks away quickly only to return with a picture on his phone I said yes I am Hispanic I know what tamarind is so he nods and smiles I look at him and say it does not belong in my food , tell the chef he needs to be careful....he walks away and that's it ....no response, whatever! i also had the paneer or the spinach dish and there were several un edible bayleafs in it one I pulled from my mouth by the stem then spit out the rest the other two were whole ans I spat them out too....just ridiculous that these were left in food as edible! unacceptable..and they didn't take anything off my bill or apology nothing! but they charged their 47.00 for our brunch .... won't go back over all meal was mediocre and cramped as we were sat in a corner and was not ideal for buffet setting to get up and down while people are passing to get to the buffet at a busy time .... and the price was bit much when there are other places that don't charge 50$ for lunch ....23.99 $ ea....the staff are ok some pleasant and some just rude ...two times are there and won't be a third .... eat at your own risk ! read more

The best Indian restaurant in Orange County! We've had almost everything on the menu from the lamb korma to Goan fish curry to kadai paneer. Don't let the location fool you. Located next to what I am sure is a fine Dunkin Donurs, and at the intersection of RT 300 and RT 32, is the nondescript exterior of a little gem of a restaurant. I was suspicious of Tai Indian fusion, but it works. Excellent Pori, Naan, Curries and Biryanis; no Saag, and only one fish dish. As for the service, the crepe guy just took a break in the middle of service. Other than that the service was fine, but hey it's a buffet, so hard to mess it up. The atmosphere inside is cozy and warm, low lighting, and thick curtains hide away the ugly old world. Our son loved the place, and the food was not too spicy for American Palettes. We frequent his restaurant often as we love Indian food. It is usually satisfactory, however, yesterday we ordered takeout and got Lamb Biryani for the first time. We were disappointed by the Lamb Biryani....something was definitely amiss. It had a fruity acetone smell which was a putoff to begin with. Taste was off... I am of Indian descent and have had biryani at other occasions. If we were dining in-house I would have definitely sent it back. It is disappointing as it is not a cheap item on the menu. read more

The buffet we had this Sunday was pretty sad - the only thing I liked was the mini masala Dosa that they were making in the buffet line - but the coconut chutney was dismal & the sambhar was missing. The rest of the Indian food lacked a critical element IMHO - taste. I had to ask for Chaat Masala on the side but maybe that's just me. Certainly the Thai didn't have an authentic taste either. This is my second favorite restaurant, Bengal Tiger is my go-to. The food here is consistently good. I have been dining there for 3 plus years. The Thai food is as good as the Indian food. The buffet is always diverse and insanely good. Their different types of Naan are amazing had them all. For vegetarians I recommend the broccoli tumbay(sp) or theirs samosas. Three stars for the variety and service at the Sunday buffet at this Indian/Thai eatery. A dosa station? Yep. That's something we've not come across back in Jersey....but we find it here. WOW. There was a decent selection of both cuisines here, veggie and carni alike. Soup, apps, mains, rices, desserts were all spoken for and present here and maintained by a good, efficient staff. The lacking thing, though if I'm honest, was flavors. The predominant flavor and ingredient was tomato, and it was in nearly everything I tried. Garlic, ginger, cardamom, clove, gara masala? Maybe a little....but the grub here was not the flavor explosion that we regularly enjoy at our favorite Indian joints.
