Best fried rice in the Hudson valley. Dumplings were excellent too! Definitely worth a trip to Walden. The owners are very sweet too

Their chow mein is wonderful if you're looking for noodles and this is the only place in all of Orange County that I've found Lassi (yogurt drink: very refreshing) The owners are very friendly.

I've come to the realization that I need a bumper sticker along the lines of "I Brake For Momo's."…read more Knowing I was going to be in the Pougkeepsie area for a meal later in the day, I checked to see if any Himilayan/Nepalese restaurants had come to the area. Sure enough, I found Momo Garden. Being convenient to my itinerary, I invited a local friend to join me for a quick lunch (just momo's), and a chance to scope the rest of the menu. Their website and sign say open at noon on Saturdays, but they were already open when I arrived a few minutes before that. We were given hot tea after being seated. I don't know if you always get that (they have a chai on the menu), but because the restaurant was still warming up from the chilly morning, the tea was very welcome. Various other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are also available. Papadam and sauces were also brought to the table. The momo's come in 2 varieties, chicken and vegetable, and you can get them in several ways, including fried, steamed, and Jhol, which is the street-food style served in broth. These were delicious, even better with the dipping sauce. The vegetable ones might fall apart a little bit, so you may want to use a spoon instead of a fork, to be sure you get every bit of the deliciousness. This is a great addition to the area. The rest of the menu will just have to wait until my next visit.

I had jhol momo which were spicy and filling. The service was excellent, I was able to order quickly and my food came just as fast. I can't wait to come back to explore more of the menu!

My only knock was that, outside of the chicken momo's, all of the chicken was dry. Besides that, all of the dishes tasted full of flavor, quality ingredients and less sugar based (which I prefer) Chicken garlic soup Tasted like a play on chicken noodle soup in the best way This was Outstanding ! Rock shrimp I liked it, it was different and had a hint of honey in the flavor profile Chicken momo Flavors were tasty, well cooked Fried chili momo set (Beef, Veg, Chicken) Delicious, had a chili chicken flavor profile Really enjoyed the vegetarian momo's in the group Himalayan curry Delicious sauce, the chicken was a little dry Panir tika masala Flavors and quantity of Paneer were excellent Naan Perfect ingredients and cook

We are looking forward to returning for a Dinner service where we will order wine and go a little further outside of our comfort zone and try someone of their more exotic and culturally reflective dishes. I'm a big fan of the WHILE IN KATHMANDU in Ridgewood, Queens, but have only been there once because…read moreparking is horrendous in that area. I was so happy to hear that they opened another restaurant in Glen Cove! Plenty of street parking is available, and they even have a shared parking lot in back of the restaurant! I parked in the back, and entered the restaurant via the backdoor! Note that there are stairs at the back entrance, so if you can't do stairs, it's best to park in front of the restaurant. This Glen Cove locations is lovely; beautiful murals and great vibes. I was shocked and sad to see it so empty on a Saturday evening! I hope more people give this place a chance because the food and service is great! This was our Shared Menu (plenty for 2ppl, and we had leftovers): -- Water Buffalo Momos w.Chili Sauce (8pcs/$18): the Momos were tasty; the meat was very lean. I would skip the Chili sauce next time. I didn't like the sweet and sour taste of the sauce, so next time I'd like to try the steamed Momos with Johl sauce instead. -- Choila Roti "Not a Taco" with Jackfruit (2pcs/$12): Not a Taco but similar to a taco. This was delicious and I'd get this again. We choice the Jackfruit version but they also have a chicken version. -- Masala Wings (Sauteed wet version) (4pcs/$11): I remember really liking the wings when I was at the Ridgewood location but couldn't recall which wings we had. On this visit, we had the wet version which was good but I realized that I like their dry version better. -- Grilled Lamb Chops w.Timur Sauce, Veggies & white rice (2pcs/$25): Surprisingly, this was my least fave dish of the night. I normally love lamb chops but these chops didn't really have a nice seared taste to them. The texture was a little off for me. Also, it was very boney with not much meat. I would try another entree next time. All in all, a good meal! I found the large selection of appetizers more interesting than the entrees, and would have been happy just sharing a bunch of appetizers and small plates. Customer service was welcoming and friendly! It was a pleasure to chat with the owner. Nice addition to the neighborhood!

My husband and I both got tikka masala dishes. He got chicken and I got the shrimp. In hindsight I wish I had tried the Saag just so we could have tasted a different sauce. However, the tikka masala was truly the best we've ever had. And we are always chasing excellent food so we've had our share. The dumplings were great but we would likely opt for a different appetizer as they didn't really blow us away. The service though is really what puts this place over the top. We were in a bit of a time crunch so I'm disappointed we couldn't stay longer and try dessert so we will definitely be back when we can make it down to SoNo again.

Wine list was rather pedestrian, but the cocktails were good. I had Taj Mahal beer which was light and tasty. We shared a good number of dishes - samosa was good, Himalayan Mushroom Chile was excellent, lasooni gobi was excellent too. Tandoori shrimp was outstanding. I didn't like Himalayan naan - it was sweet. Garlic naan was good though. Good service, prompt, friendly and attentive. The only thing I didn't like is that when making a payment, 20% tip was minimal, and suggestions went all the way to 35%... this is really annoying... Anyway, recommended.
