Great food in general, but to echo what some of the other diners are saying, the service is hit or miss. We've been taking out a lot lately instead of dining in and there is almost always a problem with getting the order straight which is frustrating. They usually try and correct it quickly... so just check your order before leaving!!! Love the curries, especially the gaeng ped and gaeng penang. read more

This place surprised me. I've had their lunch buffet several times and thought it was okay and a good deal. Maybe 3 stars on here. But I ate dinner here recently and was really impressed. I like Indian food and have eaten at some great places like Jackson DIner in Queens and at some lesser known places in flushing. I had a pepper chicken dish here (I can't recall the name) and it was excellent. Better than any Indian food I've had in the Hudson Valley. I've lowerd my rating a little bit. Have been back for dinner again and found food ok and service poor. Last time I ate their the server spilled water on the table and did not clean it up. I have never seen that before. read more

I've been hearing about this place FOREVER. Saw that they were on Uber Eats and decided it would be my COVID treat for the evening. I got the Gai Pad Kieng and Thai salad and I gotta say....WOW!!! Not only is this some of the best American Thai food I've ever had but it's probably some of the best food I've ever had. The chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned very nicely. The salad was fresh, crunchy and I loooove that peanut dressing. They even included some rice pudding free of charge, coincidentally one of my favorite desserts. I love this place! The service is good, menu selection has variety, and the food is very flavorful. There was a particular Thai dish I wanted that was not on the menu and the chef made it to order and it turned out perfect! I've been here a Lot over the past 6 years and although some days the food is better than others, this is our local go to. I mostly order vegetarian dishes and skip the thai as I find it generally weaker than the Indian---except at the weekend lunch buffet where anything goes. I've had indian food in most of the rival spots, Middletown, new paltz, and unless you want to go to NYC, this is the best choice. Although I would've never imagined seeing Indian and Thai cuisine in the same location, it certainly works in their favor! Between both sides of the menu everything is so authentic. I usually keep it simple with pad thai, but I've tried things from every category on the menu, and I've never been disappointed. Their chicken is always so moist and delightful. Lamb is cooked perfectly whenever I've had it. I consider this place my go to when I want take out, or when I want to go have a nice dinner. The restaurant is so quiet, and relaxing. My wife and I were winding up a roadtrip to Montreal and were craving some Indian food on our way back. Skeptical that I would find good Indian food in upstate NY, I was surprised to see so many reviews of a restaurant in the Hudson Valley (and with a number of Indian reviewers to boot). We were pleasantly surprised at how great the food was. We started with the chili chicken appetizer which was cooked just right - crisp exterior, moist chicken, and enough chili to keep me reaching for my Kingfisher. For entrees, we ordered the goat biriyani, chicken tikka masala, and garlic naan. The goat meat was succulent and soft and the biriyani rice was moist and well seasoned, with the masala cooked throughout. The tikka masala was creamy without being overly heavy and the chicken pieces were well marinated (not just tossed in the sauce at the end). The garlic naan was good on its own and better when used to sop up the tikka masala. And as is even more important when evaluating an indian restaurant, my stomach was perfectly fine the next day. ;) If you're making a trip upstate for some shopping at Woodbury commons, I'd definitely recommend taking a drive up to Citrus for some good Indian dining. read more

I've been eating at Citrus for a few years now and it is still great. Chicken Tikka Masala is consistently good, and so is Saag Paneer. When my wife and I came here on 12/31 they gave us a champagne toast and mini bottles to take home! We always call ahead for takeout and are thrilled to learn they are opening a sister restaurant on Route 17K, which will save us 15 mins round trip :D read more

Came here for dinner on Saturday around 7pm. We were able to get a seat for two right away. The vibe was pretty fancy compared to the menu prices and we loved it. I have never physically eaten here before but we order here ALL the time. The delivery is a bit slow but the Indian food is very very good. The naans are fluffy but with good texture. The curries are not overly salted and buttered which is nice. You can actually taste the spinach in the saag dishes. I think the quality of Indian is better than what you even find in Manhattan! ... The food was good. Simply just good. We had a variety of different things and I can honestly say everything was okay. The service itself was alright, even though the waiter was very nice, because upon getting our entree the food that was about to be placed on the table were things we did not order and I believed this came from the fact that the server had multiple tables and did not right anything we said down (which is my biggest pet peeve especially because I used to be a server). In my opinion, the highlight of the whole was their homemade naan but everything else was good and just not as flavorful as I expected. The curry fish was in a watery sauce, which was just okay. The lamb sliders my boyfriend ate to start off with were also just okay. And the salad that came with the entrees we ordered was clearly not washed before placed on our plate because it tasted like dirt... why put something on the plate, especially a large amount of that something, if you can't eat it! Where do the 3 stars come from? The kind service, the fact that our server was interested in our feedback to help them improve, the LARGENESS of the portion size (more food for your money), and the things we ate that were good which were really just the vegetables, the chicken, and the naan bread. read more

Then in the main course we ordered kadai paneer which had no salt and upon complaining about it, they told that is how they make it. Expected them to take the curry back and add salt to it.
