This is located 1 block west of Queen Anne Ave N on top of the hill and the building south of McClure Middle (Jr. High when I went) School and is easily mistaken as part of the school. I learned soccer at the play field, Little League Baseball, and basketball in the gym. I learned to swim next door at the QA Aquatic Center. There is an outdoor playground, 3 baseball diamonds, and playfields (soccer usually). Locals call the playfield "Big Howe" although there is a sign on QACC that says "West Queen Anne Field House." Anybody who lives on QA that hasn't used QACC didn't grow up here. Lots of activities for all ages from toddlers to seniors. They have art classes, exercise, dance, martial arts, serve meals, etc... My kid attends the Fresh Air Preschool here and the Director has a Montessori certificate. 1 teacher per eight students and it's very affordable. They have MWF or TuTh. If they had a hotel here the Village People would've made a song: "It's fun to play at the QACC!"

They also have a room full of toys, huge play kitchen, puzzles, tumble mats and more. Fresh Air Preschool is the best - you can choose 2 days/week, 3 days/week, or 5 days/week. Very affordable and the teacher is Montessori certified. Both of my kids attended and loved it there - she does a fantastic job with social, emotional, and cognitive learning. School age care is also fantastic. They always seem to pack in so many activities for the kids and make it all look so effortless. We were usually pulling our son away when it was time to go. The adult pottery class is a must try - huge room to work in, lots of wheels, tools, etc. Best part is you can use the room ANY TIME the community center is open while taking classes. The weight room is also open any time and offers drop in or a low monthly fee. This place is a must if you live near!

Ref start the game clock well before tip off for some reason and let several minutes run before the game even start, have no training whatsoever and do not enforce clock stoppage under 2 minutes, so competitive games get ruined when 25 seconds blow on a dead ball the clock cause the ref does not alarm the scorekeeper (happened multiple times). Owners of the league have no care about the actual quality anymore as long as they get signups for each season they're happy to sit back while the quality diminishes each season with lesser quality reffing + competitive balancing. Game postings used to be done several days in advance to make scheduling around it easier, but now they're released the day before which makes it harder for players to schedule around.

Elliott Bay Marina…read more We stopped by Elliott Bay Marina to get information about docking when we cruise north from Los Angeles to Washington with our motor yacht, @pacificpearlyacht. Ray went into the marina office and had the opportunity to speak with Brice, the harbormaster. He was incredibly nice, welcoming, and very knowledgeable. He took the time to explain the marina layout, guest accommodations, and what to expect seasonally, which immediately made us feel comfortable and confident about arriving by water. The marina itself is beautiful and well positioned, with approximately 1,200 slips and guest accommodations for traveling boats. Brice explained that during the summer months there is a lot of movement with boats coming in and out, and that winter docking is typically manageable as well, even though many owners keep their boats in place due to the colder weather. Overall, it was a very positive and reassuring experience. We're looking forward to our next visit--next time arriving from the water side, which is the plan. Highly recommend Elliott Bay Marina for anyone cruising into Seattle.
