When I ordered my drink (flat white), the girls just laughed at me and said what as if they've never heard of the drink before. She said what is that like an iced tea and I said no it's like a latte and she said so then you want a latte ? I said sure. The drinks are good. I went through the drive through and they had me waiting in total to receive my drink 30 minutes. They ran out of large cups not a big deal, but to have me waiting at the window to order for 10 minutes is ridiculous. I waited at the window for 10 minutes for them to actually get me my drink. I mean it's a drive through, I don't want to wait 30 minutes. I left my house with good time of being able to get a drink and get to my job only for them to have me waiting 30 minutes. I don't know if it's staffing issues, but it's ridiculous to wait that long, I think it's ridiculous and never have I ever had this terrible of service. read more

Bozeman N 7th location. Terrible customer service. Ordered two coffees and two blueberry muffins. Muffins looked fresh in the display case. Coffees came out after about 5 minutes, no issues. After 15 minutes, still no muffins. Went to counter and they were still working on them. At 20 minutes muffins were ready. Each was still FROZEN in the middle. Not fresh at all. Went to counter and asked for a warm up on drip coffee and cashier said would be another charge; they don't do refills for free. Basic outlet. Kinda like Starbucks, but no customer service. I ordered a cortado at the drive up service and then the staff proceeded to argue with me about the drink not being available. After describing what it is, the you g lady continued to argue. I went into the location to find out who was arguing with their client. The entire staff refused to give me their names. I will definitely be coming back but not because I expect good service mostly because it's nice to watch idiots at a zoo. Not to mention the fact that it's midday and they're open sign is still turned off. I definitely will never spend money with this company again. Just took my 11 year old in for a hot chocolate. We were ignored while standing at the counter for a few minutes. The young lady that took our order was not horrible, just an overall lack of care for giving us service. I used the restroom and when I came out, I saw a cup sitting on the counter. I asked if I had missed our name being called. The lady was very short in telling me she had not called any names yet. Overall, a negative experience. I've been going to this drive-thru for years. In the last few weeks, the wait has been unusually long. Yesterday, I was trapped in the drive-thru line for over 30 minutes. When I finally got to the window, I asked what was going on - the employee told me that there were 2 of them working. I told her she needed to ask her supervisor to close the drive-thru or they were going to have a lot of angry people. Finding a new coffee place for sure. read more

coffee is fine, nothing special... they really do have a talent at making easy food taste like absolute crap though. I have gotten food on the go several times now and it is consistently nearly inedible. for instance, I got a toasted everything bagel with cream cheese this morning and not only was the bagel not even cut in half, but im pretty positive they microwaved it instead of toasting it. 3 bites in and it went from warm and squishy to hard as a rock. almost went back to ask for my money back - nearly $4!!! ended up just giving it to my dog and writing a review instead. consistently disappointed in their service and food and after today's experience, I will not be giving them my business. read more

I love this place, but the wait time is unbelievably long. Even if you do an online order and order to pickup in 5 minutes, it will take at least 10-20 minutes. I always stop when I have an extra 20-30 minutes to spare and somehow I always end up running late after I leave. read more

I've never had an issue with a City Brew. Even during a busy morning, they'll get you through the drive thru line in ~5 mins. Their service is speedy and efficient, while the quality of their drinks are consistent and delicious! Not to mention their baked goods and treats are top tier. I'm posting this for other people who have food allergies! I'm currently taking antihistamines in order to not go to the hospital. I went to this city brew drive through earlier today. I specifically asked for oat milk in my coffee. They repeated my order to me correctly. It was made very clear that I would have oat milk in my drink. However, my order was incorrect. I was given almond milk instead of oat milk. I was not informed of this change to my order. I am allergic to almonds. I did not see that my drink label stated almond milk until after I had drunk most of my coffee. When I called to inform them of their error, I was simply disrespected and belittled. I am not interested in getting anything for free. But essentially being told that the employees that work here do not care if they harm the customer is shocking and quite frankly vile. I was informed by the manager, Grace, that "they cannot insure that you will not get something you're allergic to." I will be recommending several other coffee shops to my friends and relatives. I think the only reason anyone goes to this City Brew is because it is on the way to the college. The baristas here are always super rude to me and mess up my drink order 90% of the time. Today was the worst though because I ordered a mocha and a cookie. The woman on the speaker told me that it would be $6. I paid the money and got my coffee but not the cookie. I asked her for my cookie and the woman said that she had it for me but she wanted me to pay for it again. I told her no way, I already paid for it. She said that she didn't remember me paying for it and if I wanted a cookie I would have to pay for it, even though I already had. I had no time to fix this mess because I was going to be late for class, but I've done the math several times. There is no GD way that a small mocha and a cookie should cost $9. Please figure this crap out. Update: I tried a second time and they burnt all of my shots. It tasted awful and of course, no one would refund me or remake it. I'll definitely be avoiding this city brew. I'd rather drive the extra 5-10 minutes to CB23 or CB10 than risk getting sh**ty coffee here. read more

Amazing service. We had a big order (5 of us) and we gave all the orders from the car, and they handled it spectacularly. Got all of our orders correct. The coffee and smoothies were very good. Food came out hot and was very good, I recommend the waffle breakfast sandwich. I would recommend, better than Starbucks. read more

I come here all the time, I'm so glad they started the rewards app! Their food and coffee and both great but what really made me decide to write this review was the service!! I went through the drive through and realized I forgot my wallet, and only had $3 worth of quarters in my car. I apologized to the barista for my change and told her to take off the food and that I'll just get the coffee, but she insisted she cover it. I came here for something quick since my lunch was so terrible I couldn't eat it, and I needed something I could eat in the car on the way to the airport to pick up a coworker. I asked about one of their coffee items, and the guy behind the counter couldn't explain it to me or tell me what was in it...and he is a barista. I decided to forgo the coffee because of this and ended up with a raspberry stick that was ok, but pretty dry and a lemon bar that was decent that I ate about half of. I go to this city brew every morning and get a grande medium roast with heavy cream this morning my husband grabbed 2 coffees and both were really greasy it's like the guy put chicken broth instead of coffee and when my husband went to take it back the guy tried telling him it was the creamer after telling my husband this he makes more coffee one of the coffees he made kinda started to look right I don't know what the hell this guy was doing but my husband didn't even get a refund he just left went to a different city brew and the coffee was perfect read more

This location was right next to where I was everyday while in Bozeman for work so of course I stopped in and checked it out at least a few times. It was the specials they were having in summer that made it the best part-the huckleberry green tea frapp-amazing!!!! The staff was friendly and the interior was clean and spacious. I stopped in here quite a few times before I head to work in the morning. The employees always greet you with a "Good Morning!" and a smile on their face. Very cheerful, especially when it's 7 in the morning. Always a great bunch of people working the drive-thru and counters inside. Their sandwiches are a bit pricey for the size that they come in, but they're delicious. The smoothies are also really satisfying especially since it's warming up outside. The service is usually quick, no more than 7-8 minutes if I've ordered food and a drink. Overall, this location is great and they employ some of the best people I've ever met. read more

I switched over to City Brew because they have GREAT customer service, love the space inside their stores, and drive thru goes super fast. I thought this was a great first coffee stop in Bozeman MT. The staff was super friendly and helpful for our first time being there. It was something that I needed after a morning full of hiking, lakes, and waterfalls! I had the Montana Morning Latte and the gf had the dirty glacier chia. They were both fantastic! A little more pricey but is just as pricey as Starbucks. I think it's better. Great atmosphere. Great staff. And great coffee. read more
