Yuck. All I can say is yuck. Food has absolutely no flavor! Tried a lot of different items but they were all the same way.

Pretty decent, if you like buffets. Clean & the staff is actually nice. They also take apple pay which is awesome :) The food is okay - I had a few items and my favorite was probably a meat puff pastry pie and the fried rice, shrimp and noodles are good. I will try the Mongolian station next time I visit. Buffets aren't my favorite but I would probably come here again. read more

Not a fan. The best part was the Mongolian grill and I'm not a fan of freeze dried meat. The crab legs were slimy. Maybe that's the way they like them all gooey with crap on them for flavor, but if you can't pick em up to eat em what's the point. Here's to hoping I don't get sick read more

I would give a Zero review if I could. The Food quality is awful there, especially crabs and shrimps are the worse, and the price is even higher than the Lucky buffet. We got sick immediately after dinner last night, this is our first time there also will be the last time. My suggestion is if u wanna live longer then Do Not Go To City Buffet!!! U have to look hard and long to find vorse food than that. Food tastes like day old, some can't even be cut with knife.

We needed a place to go to seat 15 people. A couple of our preferred restaurants were really backed up and we waited till the last minute to make any reservations. Just a heads up, a lot of the popular places are requiring two weeks notice now because of how busy they are. Some of my family had come here before and raved about it. This is a Chinese/Mongolian buffet so I wasn't expecting too much. Surprisingly most of the items were pretty good. Just like any buffet some dishes are hit and miss but overall I was impressed. I tried mostly chicken dishes and they were good. The rice, and rice noodles were very good. It's Buffet sushi so it isn't that great. My wife tried the Mongolian grill and really liked it, I didn't wait around for that. There is plenty of seating here so that was great. They kept the food stocked also. The service was outstanding, our drinks were always filled and the plates never stayed on the table long. I think this is one of the better buffets in the area. read more

The Mongolian bbq section was great, everything else was meh. Lots of fried things, lots of dry meat. My kids think buffets are the epitome of fine dining, so they loved it. The sushi temperatures seemed iffy. Just build a couple Mongolian bbq bowls and you'll be happy. read more

After thinking many times of eating here, I finally had my 1st time visit. The food was very good. Of course I tried many things. The BBQ ribs had the flavor I look for in char siu flavored meat. It was well seasoned, and the sauce had a nice caramelization. The sushi was good. I had the simpler sushi like ahi, salmon, and hanaebi. The rice was well seasoned, not dry and the fish was nice and moist. The seafood was cooked well, not dry and overcooked. The baby prawn/crawfish was slippery from the cooking and difficult to crack open without tools, but once open not much meat was inside but that's due to the size of shellfish. Really nice decor but some staff were rude and they packed the place full of people. Literally elbow to elbow trying to get food. Yes everyone was wearing masks and gloves but still wish they would've kept it low capacity. The food was ok it's just buffet food and reminded me a lot of King buffet in SLC. read more

Service is great they have a lot to offer, the sushi you gotta hit it when it's fresh, and it's decent and decent selection. But the fried stuff is awesome! Haven't had the Mongolian grill stuff, I'm to damn impatient when there's a pan full of dumplings with my name in it! Wished they had steamed and not fried. read more

My boyfriend and I went here for lunch today and we thought their food was really good. You wear your mask when getting food and they provide you with plastic gloves to wear every time you get food. They had a great variety of dishes to choose from as well as sushi choices. The staff wear gloves and masks and they keep the place pretty clean. We went at lunchtime and the place was busy for a weekday. Overall we were impressed with the freshness of the dishes, the cleanliness and friendly staff. read more

Been here 4 times since they opened and haven't had a bad experience yet! Food is always fresh, service is great, covid precautions are well thought out and not overly cumbersome. It's definitely buffet food, but it's bombdotcom buffet food! Prices are decent. Especially the lunch special. The Mongolian BBQ can be a little slow but it always tastes great! Haven't tried the sushi. Not a huge fan of raw fish and there isn't an ocean in Utah... soooooooo yikes! read more

Everytime I come here the place is very clean, gloves and sanitizer at the buffet, server very attentive and the food is pretty good for a buffet also considering the low price you're paying. Over all highly recommend. I love the high flush toilets in the restroom! read more

This restaurant was disgusting! I came here for lunch and every single thing I tried had either a burnt taste or a rubbery texture that made me think that it all was "recycled" from a day or two earlier--including the Mongolian bar where the cook literally scowled at us while cooking food that was already overdone and none too fresh. I went here with a few of my coworkers a couple times before during work. Both times we went, the place was beautiful inside (great chandelier lighting and plenty of space to sit, with padded chairs!) and extremely clean (spotless). Both times I ate two very full plates of food, the first time I had a crab rangoon, spring roll, tempura zucchini (fried), with some beef and broccoli, fried rice, and some chicken (skewered chicken and sweet and sour chicken). Second time was similar to the first, but I swapped out the fried rice for chow mein and got some house chicken (dark, well-cooked chicken with a bit of sweet sauce). I also had a full plate from their all-you-can-eat sushi bar both times. Both times, the food was incredibly fresh. The crunchy tempura zucchini under its fried shell was bright green and absolutely refreshing. The beef and broccoli paired rich, fresh, flavorful beef with large, healthy, juicy broccoli florets. The spring rolls and crab rangoons were fresh, crunchy, and full of flavor. The chicken was tender and flavorful and the sweet and sour sauce was perfectly sweet. Even the cream puffs at the desert bar were delightfully light and fresh. Moreover, all the delicious food I filled up on was only a small part of their selection. They have a full chinese food selection, a full dessert bar, a sushi bar, and a mongolian food bar. Given the high quality of the food I did eat, I would expect no less in deliciousness from the vast variety of food I wasn't able to try because I was full. Sushi was immaculate (pretty much perfect) both times. The rolls were not necessarily as fancy as an expensive sushi restaurant, but they were of comparable quality with tantalizing salmon and crab meat. There was also plenty of deep red ginger and refreshing seaweed to top on the rolls, and you could add sauce if you wanted it. Both times I ate here filled up one out of two plate with only sushi, and both times I left happy and full for pretty much the rest of the day. If you are not a fan of buffets, I understand they can be nasty. However, this one is the opposite of nasty, and I recommend anyone to come to come and give it a try, as this place, City Buffet, is delicious, the food is healthy tasting, the place is very clean, and it is affordable. I'm glad my coworker showed me this gem. read more

The only good thing I can say is it's pretty clean. The sushi was nasty, the fried rice tasted weird nothing I had was very good.

I think McDonald's has more flavor than this place. They didn't have pepper on the tables. Almost everything tasted bland or like seasalt. Portions like they were feeding giants. If you like sitting like a can of sardins then it's great. Then there's the grill there's 5 meats 3 of them being the basic beef, chicken and pork with the pork being stringy ot muscley I literally bit into a vein. They only have 4 sauces which were the only things labeled in fact most the foods in the entire place aren't labeled. With that let's talk about sanitary precautions, there are none the sat everyone table next to table there aren't toilet seat liners and the grill cooks used unsanitary methods while cooking. To top it off they tried to charge us the dinner price during lunch time. read more

This place started off great. They have seafood at night that was really delicious. The last several times I went specifically for the crab and fried butter and pepper shrimp it has been terrible. It seems like they were leftovers from the night before. I went tonight and made sure to ask the server about them because that is the reason I go there. One lady told me to come back Wednesday night because they are out, and another lady told me they were making some fresh. By this time I was leaving. But this has been going on for quite some time. This was just the first time I asked for fresh crab and shrimp. I don't understand why I am paying for the seafood when there is none that is edible. Guess I will youtube how to make the shrimp and crab and make it myself, sure will be cheaper and better. read more
