Avocado Salad $5! Huge portion, too much sauce.

Party of 7, got seated right away. Portions are huge! Price is very affordable. Food came out quick. Everything tasted good. Teriyaki salmon was a bit burnt. And the avocado could use less dressing.

This quaint place is situated perfectly in the neighborhood. Across from an elementary school, Steed Park and fishing pond, baseball fields, pickleball courts and next to the grocery store and dance studio, it's always got life. Don't gauge by the parking because it's within walking distance of several neighborhoods. Lunch specials with loads of options and large portions. Plenty of inside seating and a sushi bar also. Little bit of everything, Chinese, sushi and a Thai curry, Japanese bentos and donburi. Service and staff are so welcoming. DoorDash table as soon as you walk in, loaded up with orders. This place is a favorite go to, no doubt.

I absolutely cannot sing enough praise for Golden Ginger Bistro! My orders are spot on each and every single time. No matter the request or special instructions given, they deliver delicious fresh generous portions of food that will keep you full and if you're eating alone, plenty of leftovers for the next day. My addiction is real to this restaurant. My favorites as of late are (of course) the spicy crab roll, Bo Bo Platter, squid salad (SOOOO delicious!), Vietnamese Spring Rolls appetizer, and the Prozac Roll. The Bo Bo Platter is an excellent deal for the price. You get more than your money's worth with (2) chicken skewers, (2) cheese rangoons, (2) Gyoza, (2) shrimp tempura, and (1) Vietnamese egg roll that is cut into 4 bitesize pieces. I can never finish it all in one sitting. Always fresh and delicious. The Vietnamese Spring Rolls are absolutely humongous! They are hand rolled in rice paper including shrimp, lettuce, and rice noodles. They come with a side peanut sauce that is so rich in flavor very similar to peanut butter taste but with a thicker consistency of absolute perfection. The squid salad is beyond words! Fresh, spicy, (also comes with a side dressing if you prefer or want). I personally like mine naked because the seasoning is enough on it's own. There is A LOT of squid included. I could honestly eat this for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day of the week. The Prozac Roll I did not find extremely spicy, however, they do include wasabi and spicy mayo on the side if you request it. The roll itself is tempura shrimp, spicy tuna, and cucumber with eel and eel sauce and spicy mayo on top. The eel is what really brings it all together (imo, and I'm not even an eel super fan... however I think I am now after tasting this). Really good flavors when put all together. No wonder it's named after a prescription med depression! Lol Spicy Crabmeat roll I've had as both a regular roll and a hand roll and you can't go wrong with either. I wish I lived closer to this place but maybe it's better I don't because I probably wouldn't have much of a bank account left. Actually though, the prices are very reasonable and portions generous. I only wish they would add mussel shooter's to their menu. Then I would never have to go anywhere else. Love this place! You will too. I promise ;+)

We love the Golden Ginger! Everything is fairly priced and always delicious. We often get the bento box because it has great variety but we've had their orange chicken and sushi rolls as well and they are so good. The service is also always very prompt and kind. We always look forward to eating here!

This place is a hole in the wall! Must come! We went in on a Tuesday evening after work and got sushi plus a Chinese dish. General Tsaos was AMAZING, and it sits on a bed of thick crunchy noodles. It also came w white rice. The tang and kick to it was just right! The dish was $12 and could be split between 2-3 ppl. The rice not so much, though. We got Vegas roll, Wasatch roll, and Texas roll. You can never go wrong w Vegas, Wasatch was good, and the Texas is a MUST. It has slices of medium rare steak. The service was not slow at all. Great spot! I highly recommend it.

I…read moredined alone, and there are two-top tables, but I was seated in a separate dining room as the lone diner at a table for six. It was nice to be in that room. There were several other diners but it was peaceful. I ordered panang curry pork. Before it arrived, I was given a side salad that I wasn't expecting, which made for a good start. I asked about their spice levels, which go 1-5. They said if I had had Thai hot things, 5 would be fine. And it was just fine! Great flavor, good rice and a portion that you could share. I got some massaman curry chicken to take for the folks back home, at a medium spice. This is a family favorite and this was a good rendition. We would opt for a higher spice level next time, that's just how we roll. Service was attentive but not overbearing. My water glass never ran dry :-) A nice setting and we will be back.

99 Thai Fusion is a place that I just want to love, so much so that I've been there twice. Sadly,…read moreit really isn't hitting the authentic Thai mark (especially in regards to spice). First time, I ordered their Ginger Stir-Fry entree with beef. You can choose fried rice for an extra $1 over the steamed Thai Jasmine. So that is what I did. The spice levels go from 1 to 5. I chose 5 and instead of cooking the Stir-Fry in spice, they gave me a small condiment cup with chopped peppers. There was spice in the condiment cup; but definitely not a level 5 and certainly not enough for the whole entree. Very disappointing there. The Stir-Fry itself was completely bland, pretty greasy, and slimy throughout. Definitely too much vegetable oil was used in the cooking process. The beef was quite a bit undercooked (almost raw). Sadly the whole entree itself was a disaster... but, the fried rice definitely (somewhat) made up for it. It had a slight garlic taste to it along with some miniscule egg fragments. Either way, I decided I would give this place another shot on a different day. So for my next visit, I decided to go with their lunch combo/special so I could try out a few other things minus a large bill if it didn't work out. It includes your choice of entree from their lunch combo menu (along with meat preference), plus salad/one egg roll/steamed Thai Jasmine Rice/choice of soup (either hot & sour or coconut). I went with the Black Pepper Garlic Stir-Fry with beef and their coconut soup. Once again, I requested level 5. Instead of the chopped chili's, this time I just received a small condiment cup of chili flakes. The Stir-Fry was completely bland and once again greasy/slimy, and also a very small portion size compared to other Thai restaurants that offer lunch specials. The egg roll came with sweet chili sauce and was pretty good. The rice was okay. The coconut soup is what blew my mind! OMG, what a delicious surprise! UGH, I want it right now just thinking about it. It was by far quite possibly, the best tasting soup that I have ever had. The flavor had a bit of sweetness but not too much. It also contained cabbage and tiny chopped pieces of chicken. The liquid itself was just fine on it's own, and TBH I didn't even notice it had other ingredients until I started scooping instead of slurping (lol). Surprisingly the complimentary salad was also a nice surprise. Very basic looking, but it was extremely fresh (definitely had been washed but wasn't drenched or dried up), extremely crisp, and also flavorful with the included Ginger dressing. So as you can see, I'm on the fence about this place. Restaurant was clean and employees were very friendly during both of my visits. Only wish they would actually honor level 5 (Thai Spicy) and maybe cook the beef just a little bit longer and lay off of the cooking oil. But that coconut soup is definetly calling my name for another day.....

It's a family-run restaurant with an open kitchen, so you can see every dish being prepared right in front of you. It doesn't feel like a typical restaurant--it feels like you've been invited into their home. And what truly sets this place apart is the people behind it. The father took the time to walk us through the menu and explain each dish in detail. The mother shared the cultural and historical inspiration behind the plates, connecting the food back to the Philippines in such a meaningful way. Their son served us with professionalism and genuine kindness. You can feel the pride, love, and intention in everything they do. What we ordered: Pork Lumpia with Sweet Chili Sauce - perfectly crispy, fresh, and packed with flavor. Sizzlin' OINK Sisig - served hot with an egg on top... bold, savory, and absolutely addictive. Lechon OINKawali - crispy pork belly done right: crunchy on the outside, tender and juicy inside. Pancit Noodles - THE BEST NOODLES EVER!!!! And for dessert: Banana - Bowlicious - fried plantains tossed in cinnamon sugar, topped with vanilla ice cream and caramel drizzle... the perfect sweet finish. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the fried sweet plantain banana desert but I have to say that the flavor still lingers in my mouth and my heart! Everything tasted incredibly fresh. The sauces are clearly made from scratch, and the flavors are rich, authentic, and beautifully balanced. And the value? Unbeatable. We ordered appetizers, three main dishes, and two desserts and the bill left me speechless in a good way :) If you're looking for authentic Filipino cuisine with heart, story, and flavor this is the place. Highly recommend. Thank you for an amazing last dinner in Utah! I will absolutely be back.

You get a choice of two bases. I went with the rice noodles and brown rice. It was a great relief to see they were equally portioned throughout the whole bowl instead of overflowing with one or the other. Requested Mongolian Beef as my entree and it was amazingly fresh along with all the other ingredients. I was very happy they put the dressing on the side (I requested teriyaki sauce) along with the add-on's of jalapenos and Sambal Chili (definitely could have used more of both of those on the bowl...they were absolutely phenomenal). Very impressed for a first time visitor and I definitely plan on visiting again very soon. The Kid's Bowl also comes with an Honest juice box in which I received fruit punch. Overall the meal was an excellent value for the price; along with healthy and fresh. Last but not least, I ordered their two dessert options which are the Chocolate Brownie and Chewy Marshmallow Bar. From what I understand they were delicious because they certainly didn't last very long on the countertop at home (lol). They are located in a strip mall with a shared parking lot. I opted to get the Koko (Korean chicken) and Piggy (spicy Korean BBQ pork) meat selections, noodles and cabbage, but skipped the rice. I also ordered the Sauce #1 (Bulgogi and Lime Mayo) on the side. It was fairly quick on preparation and I didn't have to wait long upon arrival to pick it up. The staff wasn't overly friendly when I walked up to the counter, and they confused me by asking the name on my order and then handing the bag in their hand to another person. I also discovered upon receiving my order, that they did not put the sauce on the side like I requested even though the printed ticket they used to prepare the meal included the statement "sauce on the side". They correctly left off the rice however. I took my order to go. There isn't really anywhere to sit and eat inside the store. I really enjoyed the sweet potato noodles, and the sauce was sweet and very tasty. The chicken didn't seem to have much flavor but is was very tender and easy to eat. The spicy pork had a lot of flavor, but wasn't too spicy for me. I tend to be a wimp with spice levels. I liked the sauce mixed with the cabbage since this reminded me of sweet cole slaw. Honestly, if it was my very last day on this Earth, my last meal would come from here. I haven't tried everything on their menu as I'm very partial to my beloved steak and shrimp, but there are other dishes that I have tried that I also highly recommend. First being their side dishes. Side of steak (generous portions that can be used to create other meals or eat raw on lunch which is what I do at work and have zero time to cook). Side of shrimp is the same, though less portions (probably because it's more expensive being seafood). The Super Bowl is a MUST TRY! Hearty filling protein of edamame, two poached eggs (I think they are poached?), side of pineapple, and avacodos. Speaking of pineapple, I've ordered it on the side and have also added it to my combo meals. It's grilled to perfection and is NEVER a disappointment! Kid's Meal Steak is an excellent value for the price and gives you the vegetable/rice/noodle options with their delicious teriyaki sauce but at a less pricetag; however, it is still very filling. The exact same goes for their "Little Combo" which I love to have when I don't want leftovers. Their Combo Salad is beyond delicious! Broccoli, cabbage, carrots, cucumber, edamame, peppers, and mixed greens like Romaine lettuce to keep you very full and satisfied along with their two offerings of protein choices (you can also take off whichever veggies you don't want). Comes with two salad dressings or (if you're like me), it's so flavorful, you can eat it raw! The sushi here is just as good as any Japanese/Asian restaurant. Tried their "Half & Half Sushi", which is 4 very LARGE pieces of spicy crab roll, and 4 very LARGE pieces of California roll. Also comes with soy sauce, ginger & wasabi, and complimentary chopsticks. I've tried their Little Spicy Chicken and the chicken is very moist and tender. Spiced just right for those that don't want too much heat. Once again you can add Death Crier, Hot, Mid, or Mild to suit your preferences to the meal. I've fluctuated with all their spice levels and haven't been disappointed once! Hot and Mid are just as good (if not milder) than my favorite Death Crier. Try this place for yourself at least once! I promise you won't be disappointed!! Plus your scale at home will thank you when you weigh yourself and see that you haven't gained a pound ;+)!

After sleeping with a bucket on one side of my head and a garbage can on the other, this place deserves every last bad review that they will ever receive! Waited nearly two hours for a takeout order. I had absolutely zero issues with that, provided all of my detailed instructions were followed. I explicitly requested if they were going to charge me additional fees after my initial order total then to cancel the ENTIRE order! Not only was I charged additional fees to my credit card after the fact, my instructions weren't even followed! The most expensive item (especially since I was charged almost $5 extra for requesting lettuce) was the Dynamite Poke Bowl with rotten fish, rotten produce, saturated in sauce (that I explicitly requested ON THE SIDE), and most disgusting of all, warm creamy rice that was supposedly in their "homemade cream sauce". Absolutely nowhere in the description of the Dynamite Poke Bowl did it state it was going to have rice or give you an alternative option. Whatever is in that disgusting sauce should be retired and banned from the FDA! The supposed "fish" was all shredded barely there and nevermind I didn't receive the furikake with red onions that I was also charged additional for. The Kimchi was completely sour and opening the lid on the little cup you could smell the foulness. Yes, I did try a bite of everything that I ordered to leave an appropriate review. The Kurama Ebi (prawn) shows up with it's head and shell on which wasn't a big issue because I order seafood boils all the time. However, this poor prawn was all shell, no meat, and was discolored and mushy upon peeling. The Gyutan (beef tongue) was charred aplenty, but still impossible to eat because it was way too chewy and no amount of lemons were going to help it. I really was having a great day and that's why I thought I would be 3 for 3 and try this newer popular sushi restaurant and trust me, the pricey menu items certainly don't achieve the fresh experience that all of us Sushi lovers expect. Will never return and will forever be telling everyone about this horrible waste of time and money experience. And to think I actually left them a tip on top of the overcharges. Ha!

Food is amazing love the sushi here and the people that served me were super awesome!read more
