We've never been to Altex until this visit when we saw the sign from the freeway and decided to check out what the store had to offer. We walked in looking for a specific firewall, and Christian helped us find everything that we needed in the store. We didn't grab a cart when we arrived, but grabbed so much equipment that Christian helped us carry the hardware and set it aside for us at the checkout counter. We needed him to walk all around the store and show us where to locate specific parts. It was great! They had everything that we needed. Also, when our ride didn't park in the correct parking lot, Christian walked outside with us helping us carry the heavy boxes. He was so nice and helpful!!

Bottom Line: A dumpy Target with a limited selection and very little parking but there is a…read moreStarbucks. While staying in Austin my friends and I went to this Target to get some groceries, sunscreen and such. Our first challenge was finding a parking spot that we didn't have to pay for. We could 15 minute parking and them walked through an abandoned lot to the very lack luster entrance. My immediately impression was that this reminded me of the Target from the early 1990s that competed with Kmart. The ceilings are low and the selection was limited but I would say, basically being located on the UT campus, the inventory is probably targeted to stuff college kids needs you know like ramen noodles and storage tubs. The one bright spot was that there was a Starbcucks inside and after our morning errands we were ready for coffee.

But I thought I was clear when I explained what I was replacing. The salesperson kept trying to sell me charging items that were not for my car. Very frustrating. I know what I wanted!
