BEWARE !! When you have a Dental Issue, you go to a Dentist. When your dog or cat is Ill, you take it to a Vet. I don't know Anything about computers so I read the reviews and Thought my PC was in Good Hands !! I found out that I was Terribly WRONG !! So fast forward a little less than 6 months. I used my PC not more than 4 times and paid $221.91 for repairs to my Lenovo Laptop Computer. They told me that they had replaced the 'Hard Drive' in my PC and loaded Windows on it. Now it is 'Broken' Again !! I took it back and met with Jason. I explained the situation and left my Lenovo PC with him. One week later it was still Not Repaired and I was told that it could be another "couple of days or weeks" ‍I only had ONE Word Document on that PC Laptop and Now That One Document is LOST FOREVER !! I am Beyond Upset ! In Speaking with various people and showing them the Locked Screen of my PC when I open it their Question is Always..."Why is your PC asking you to enter an 'APPLE HDD PASSWORD' ??? From asking others who are 'Tech Savy' I have discovered that 'Hi Tech Gadgets' replaced my PC Hard Drive with a Apple Hard Drive !! The Two are NOT COMPATIBLE ! My Lenovo is RUINED and that IMPORTANT DOCUMENT IS GONE !! My kid broke the Ipad charger and it's pin was stuck in the charger port due to which I was not able to insert any other charger in the port. I didn't have a flat tweezer to pull it out so I went to the repair shop at Lakeline mall which quoted me $ 34.99 and approx 35-45 mins for the repair time. Since I exactly knew what the problem was, I went straight to Hi-Tech Gadgets and Jason pulled it out in one second for us and didn't charge us even a single dollar for the service. After another computer repair service had my hard drive for 75 days and finally gave it back unable to restore it, I took it to Hi-Tech Gadgets in the hopes that they could. Six hours after I dropped it off at their shop, they called and told me the good and bad news. Data there but they couldn't recover it. What they did do for me was recommend a data recovery provider. Why I gave them 5 stars is because they were quick to admit they couldn't help me, didn't charge for the time it took to check my HD and gave me the feeling they were very knowledgeable in the computer field. Also, they took the time to answer my Yelp questions to them. A really good experience and I highly recommend them. read more

Using Yelp, I sent my plea for help to 3 repair shops in my area. One replied they wouldn't open until 11am and would estimate my cost at $80 with 1-2 days turnaround, one didn't respond at all, but Jason/Hi-Tech Gadgets on Pond Springs Road said "bring it in!". I immediately went, and within 1.5 hours, he had taken it apart, cleaned it, dislodged a stuck power button (without selling me a new one) and charged me $25. I called to have my loud speaker replaced. Once I arrived at the Ponds Springs Location Rocky took my information and stopped working in another customers phone to work on mine. I also asked that he replace the ear piece speaker/mic/sensor. After about an hour he came back and I tested my phone, the loud speaker was 100 times better but the ear piece speaker was about the same. Also the Face ID feature was not working because he explained that the sensor is paired to the phones logic board and when replaced it will disable it but Jason said that doing some micro soldering would repair that part. That's when Manager Jason came in and also started to work on my phone. He cleaned the screen on the the ear piece and also cleaned the speaker. and reinstalled the original ear piece speaker. I tested it and it was like my phone was brand new again. When I test called I literally had to hold my ear away from the ear piece cuz it was so loud! And my Face ID feature was now working again. So instead of me spending over $100 I end up paying 40 plus the cost of a new IPHONE XR Case. Jason and Rocky are awesome! Thank you so much for the repair! I highly recommend this place. The fact that they stopped to work on my phone, and actually got me out the door without trying to upsell or overcharging me really means a lot!
