Disappointed with our experience here. We came here on the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving because they were having their Black Friday deals. We arrived at 6:45pm and they close at 8pm. We walked around a bit and then a lady came up to us and told us they were closing in 10 minutes. We saw that it was 10 minutes to seven and asked if they didn't close at 8pm? She replied that they were closing early because they were having their holiday party and that they had a sign on the front doors. She also said that their Black Friday sale was 10% off. Of course the signs everywhere said 30% off. But how is 10% off a Black Friday deal?!? Ten percent!!??!! So, obviously we weren't going to buy a new living room set in 10 minutes. So we left and went next door to Rooms To Go and spent our $4500 there. So, I hope your party was worth losing a $4500 sale. I give two stars because I'm sure the furniture is nice. Looking for couches, we found one that was part of a sectional. We only wanted the couch portion but it was longer than what we needed. Salesman said individuals couch would be 10 inches shorter. Had it delivered and it was not any shorted as Salesman stated. Way too long. They refuse to let us return it but will give us credit towards something else with $99.99 return fee. Purchased the Destin Delray Dark Gray Fabric 5 pc bumper sectional in 7/2023 with the 3 years in home warranty. What a joke the seat cushions casings and core were recently replaced and the sectional looks horrible. They're stuffed so much they make the sectional look lopsided. Horrible Customer Service, have been customer for over 20 years. No more buying from CF, as the home warranty is a joke. They should have replaced the entire sectional and not just bits and pieces. read more

I had two incidents with the delivery of my furniture. These deliveries were done separately on two different occasions. First delivery a with one of the men who was rude, disrespectful and confrontational when I asked him to wear shoe covers that I had purchase for workers coming in my house. The second incident was regarding not all paid items were delivered. I had ordered a queen size mattress, headboard and an adjustable base for the mattress. I did not receive the adjustable base and wasn't told that it was out of stock until the night of the delivery. Eventually after going to the store and speaking with the manager I was told that there were plenty of bases in the warehouse. The inconvenience that I have dealt with regarding City Furniture is unbelievable. Do not buy from this store. The customer service is terrible. AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE! I was greeted as soon as I walked in, taken right to the areas I needed and the gentleman named German was EXTREMELY patient, kind and knowledgeable. We ended up having a small snag when it came to the financing (on my end due to my credit) but the entire management and leasing team pitched in to help me get approved for the amount needed. NEVER AGAIN!!! will I choose City! WHAT A NIGHTMARE!, BAIT & SWITCH. I purchase their top of the line mattress and base $16,000. I was told that if I bought the cover, I could Exchange them and receive any money back if there was a difference. When I received it, it was a lot firmer than the one in the store. They said I had to wait 21 days to break it in and to give it a chance. After 3 months I couldn't take it anymore. I had shoulder pains. I was getting sleepy during the day because I wasn't resting well at night so I exchange it. The difference in price was $3000 and they said they could only give me a store credit. When they delivered the new mattress. They broke my night table during the during the setup. They offered me $50 for the night table. I have been a loyal customer for almost 50 years. I was on the hunt for patio furniture and I came to this Ashley/City Furniture location because it's the largest one as well as two places combined as one. For starters, I was greeted immediately on the Ashley side, which is where I walked in. I saw what they had and wanted to go to the City Side - the same rep couldn't help me - he halted at the division line like he would burst into flames if he did and said he couldn't continue helping me - I think they should change this or put a wall to divide the two. Do I need to make a phone call to Trump about this? We all know he loves building walls. Ha. Then I met Rodney. He was happy to help me find what I was looking for. The showroom has a decent selection. I went back and forth comparing the two items I was interested in. I was torn between the two stores cause City has hefty price tags compared to Ashley, but I ended up going with the City Furniture set. The purchase ran smoothly and was able to get it delivered that upcoming weekend. *I wish delivery was free, considering how much their furniture costs.* Yes, the offer free delivery, but they just drop off the boxes and go bye bye. I have to say I am not to happy with the service I received on my repair order. I have warranty on my love seat piece of wood broke on the arm rest in the back. when I called for service the tech came out took pictures and assured me that he would put in a ticket for replacement, 10 days goes by and I don't hear anything back from them. I called to follow up and I was told that the repair is not a factory defect so it wont be covered. I explained to them that it had to come this way from the factory because it is on the back of the love and it an arm rest. I spent a lot of money on this sofa to be told they are not going to fix it. I will tell all my friends and take out a add in the local paper and tell what city furniture has been doing taking peoples money on there warranty service and not repairing anything. I bought a dining table and chairs from city furniture on US1 in Cutler Bay. Salesman was very nice and helpful. Encouraged us to get the 3 year warranty so if anything happened to the furniture outside of the manufacturer or Store warranty, it would be covered. We did. Top of the table started lifting, service tech came out, took a couple of photos and said it was water damage and not covered. Don't waste your money on the warranty!!!! read more

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH Naushad Odhwani! A salesman at the cutler bay location. I purchased a bed from City furniture a few years ago in a GRAY color. I loved the bed, so I called Naushad answered I explained that I'm a previous customer and if he could pull up my past order and tell me if they have this bed in a beige color . He ASSURED me , that yes the bed also comes in beige. They no longer have the bed in the store it's only online. So I purchased the bed in full, cash with the assumption it was ( BEIGE ). I told Naushad that my receipt says the bed is gray, he assured me although it says gray it's beige. So I go back online I see that it only comes in 2 colors BLUE AND GRAY. I spoke with him again , told him ARE YOU SURE MY BED IS BEIGE ? Online it only Comes in Blue or Gray. I'm going to very upset if this bed is gray. He said not to worry, I didn't have a good feeling so I called City furniture spoke to a different Sales associate and she confirmed that the bed DOES NOT COME IM BEIGE ONLY BLUE OR GRAY. I'm very upset and disappointed that he lied just to get a sale , does not care at all about the customer just commission. Normally, I've had good experiences buying my furniture at City Furniture in Cutler Bay but over a week ago my wife and I purchased a mattress set and an adjustable bed for our home. The salesperson DK seemed like a seasoned salesman and he taught us into buying the adjustable bed. He gave us the pros and cons, the ease of monthly payments and that it would be set up for me at no cost. We made sure that the mattress would be delivered for free, meaning, dropped off without set up, but the adjustable bed would be set up. We waited almost a week to receive the items and when they came in they just dropped off everything and said they had no record about setting it up. Calls were made but finally no resolution. They left without the set up and I was left with a heavy hunk of bed in my garage. I called DK the salesman and he swears he never said that it would be set up for free and that it would be $59 for the set up. He asked me to arrange it with customer service instead of owning up to his mistake and help me expedite this. Customer service said they would call me within 24 hrs to set the appointment and never did. I called DK at City Furniture Cutler Bay and asked for my credit card in order to make the arrangement with the set up. He called to say it's for Tuesday but never gave me a time of frame and he said he would call me back. He hasn't. I sent emails and still no response. When you work on commission you have to have two faces, the seasoned friendly emphatic salesman and the real you. His real face doesn't seem to be a good one. He never owned up to his error nor offered a fair solution and I'm still waiting for the bed to be set up. I will put a new post to let you know how this was resolved. Stay tuned! read more

Before I go to the store to get my refund I receive an email confirming it has arrived and I need to schedule a delivery schedule it for July 1st. Go to the store just to verify that this is correct and it will come the confirm. Today I got no reminder phone call thought that was unusual so called the store they say we don't show it was ever scheduled for delivery..... we can schedule it for the 13th for you. I purchased my sons furniture at this location with sales associate Larry Pastor. I purchased his bedroom set august of 2021, many weeks ago. Everything was available at the time we made our purchase and we were assured by Larry that as long as we moved our order every two weeks, we would not lose our delivery. Well he didn't do his job and we lost our sons order. Everything is now back ordered until July. So now my 2 month old son has no furniture and my husband and I are rushing to find available furniture. I have never had such a bad experience at a furniture store. We worked with a different associate Dani at a different city location and she kept up with our order and kept her promise to us. My husband and I have tried to contact Larry multiple times but he has ignored our calls. We instead dealt with the manager Lily who informed us that there was nothing they could do for us other than refund our items. My order is so old according to accounting, they cannot return my money to my credit card. I have to wait 7-10 days for a check they are sending. So I don't have my furniture and I do not have my money. This location does not care about their customers, very sad to say I will never shop at city furniture again thanks to this associate. I contacted City Furniture Tuesday and asked for them to send replacement sectional. They delivered today, May 13th. Delivery was fine. I noticed that the recliners now have supports in the headrests! Amazing that they have been updated. And of course everything looks better after replacing the worn out sectional parts. We placed an order for our patio furniture in February, it Is already October and some pieces are still on back order, and keeps on changing delivery date; meanwhile, spring and summer is gone. The piece that it was available was delivered with damaged. Twice ( May and September) they came to replace the wrong item. And this week they brought the correct item but it had more damaged than the one they intended to exchanged. Double check that items are ready for delivery before you buy It. Unless you are not in a hurry. Back order dates are not reliable. For my backordered items, a month turn into eight months already. If you wonder why I didn't return it, well, I can't. SUPER SHADY ASSOCIATES AND MANAGER!!! Went in for a mattress. Got awesome service when I bought the mattress. Turns out the mattress was too firm. I was told I can exchange it for ONLY a delivery fee of $59. When I signed the contract the associate didn't show me what I was signing where it states I have to pay an exchange fee of $129- which is fine. However the sales associate didn't clearly state that. Anyway I was willing to pay the fees required. But then he added fees on my account so I paid $251 which is more than the delivery and exchange fee. The manager came and threw in his own shady explanation of where the extra money was coming from that didn't make sense at all. I paid whatever they told me and when I left I called customer service where I was informed that they included a $160 in house fee that was uncalled for. She admitted the associate and manager should not have included that and they probably did that to cover the fact that the mattress was $100 less so they wouldn't lose a penny in commission. In the last 5 years I have bought over $40,000 in furniture at this store. I paid a huge premium to purchase the extended in home warranty package. I cannot get them to follow up or return a call. I have filed a claim with them about a month ago. The next couple of weeks I tried calling to follow up, no one responds. Today I used their online tool with Shanarika, a service representative who disconnected me. ( their online tool appears to be a way to dissuade you from making a claim. ) You would think after 30 days I could get a return call, an e mail, a auto generated response, something acknowledging my request and informing of next steps. Today my in laws decided to go shopping for furniture. We went to American Signature Furniture, Ashley and finally ended up at City Furniture wow what a difference in customer service American and Ashley no efforts to help us but her at City the representative RUFI assisted us like family never being treated in such an amazing way. Well to tell you how great the service was my in laws went in for a sectional and ended up with two arm chairs, rug, bedroom set and of course the sectional LOL. RUFI answered all their questions about fabric, warranty, delivery, and prices. I came by this city furniture a few weeks back because we received a check redeemable at their store for a guarantee we never ended up using. So I went into the store not knowing what to buy but buy something that at least reached the minimum. The store is definitely well decorated, and the saleswoman was friendly and did not put pressure on me to make a decision. In the end I settled on buying a nice chair for the master bedroom.
