This is a continuation of my last review after one of the supervisors from City Furniture asked me to email more details. I hoped this meant they were willing to fix things, but ultimately, nothing was resolved. They made it clear that no one can override their rigid, computerized discount policies--even when it comes to damaged items. We spent thousands of dollars and expected some respect and loyalty. Instead, we're left feeling disregarded and frustrated. If you want a furniture store that values its customers, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

Mattress in doorway

Salespeople agree to take old mattress since I bought an new mattress from city furniture. Delivery was one week after the day I purchased the mattress. Then delivery was delayed then employees refused to take old mattress. Went back to store to return new mattress since I have no way to dispose old mattress. Manager JC offered me money to have someone to come pickup old mattress. That was not what I agreed he said he refused to refund me. So now I'm left with a old mattress blocking passage to my bedroom since delivery men just placed it in the middle of the door way. I recommend not to shop at city furniture since there are many more established retail stores that are possibly better serving you. I refuse to shop at these stores again. You have been warned.

Updating this post due to the response from CityFurniture. See my response to City Furniture below. Response to City Furniture: I understand the logistical and supply chain issues between ports, container availability, and increased freight costs. The customer service experience I received is atrocious. I spent $2,000+ at City Furniture and my furniture was delayed on three occasions. The least City Furniture can do is have a member from their team contact a client to inform them that there furniture delivery is delayed. I did not receive an email or phone call regarding the third delay + the logistical/supply chain issues referenced for the delivery of the furniture to the USA do not effect the delivery of furniture from City Furniture's warehouse to my residence. Delivery time frame was scheduled from 9 am to 12 pm and the furniture was not delivered until 3:13 pm. From the beginning to the end City Furniture botched my order and lost a customer for life. Original Review: Do not purchase furniture from City Furniture. Customer service is horrid. On 5/30/2021 I purchased $2,192.89 of furniture and I just received the last two items - Miami White Glass Console Table Top and Base SKU 5180246 and 5180248 today. The original scheduled delivery was June 21, 2021. On June 9 I was notified that the top and base would not become available until July 8. Then I was notified in late June that the top and base would not be available until late July. I checked the status of my order on the City Furniture website and the website then advised me that my top and base will not be available until the beginning of September. I received no communication from the City Furniture team that my furniture was delayed for a third time. To make matters worse my delivery was scheduled for today between 9 am to 12 pm and City Furniture did not deliver until 3:12 pm.

Buying something in this store is hell! I'll start with the fact that they had an online promotion and I ordered a sofa in the online store on Sunday. It's worth noting that in my personal account the order date is indicated not as August 4, but as Monday, August 5. I found it strange that no one contacted me about the delivery and wrote to the customer service. They said that the normal processing time is 48 hours. I thought that this was an abnormal processing time for an online payment. Because if something had gone wrong (as usually happens in US service. Something always goes wrong here) I would have been left without a sofa and this would have lengthened the waiting time. So I decided to refuse the online purchase and went to the store. In the store, all the sellers were following me like they were stung, hoping to sell me something. Naturally, I knew what I wanted, but there was no discount anymore. I said, give me a discount and I will order from you. I think this is fair because I already tried to do this and the order was not completed due to no fault of mine. They said. then the promotion has already ended and it is not their promotion but the online store's. I still tried to negotiate with them and they offered me a 7% discount to which I agreed. they placed an order. I paid with the same card as online!!!! they did not process payments from one system. Then they brought me some strange device and not a regular tablet as they have. the payment went through. of course, I was indignant why this system does not have the name of the product or any data allowing to identify the connection with the store. the receipt was still printed out for me and also duplicated by email. then the manager from the online store called me although I had already cancelled the order. I tried to knock out the discount I deserve. I sent her the receipt and a screenshot from their account about the purchase earlier, but she asked for a screenshot from my bank! from my bank, Karl! seriously? firstly, I did not say that the money was charged off. I did not send anything. my husband's card. I am not going to burden him at work with problems where the money went and where it returned. in the end, the manager stalled. I received a notification from the store that they contacted the administration of my building and there is no time in the schedule for the next day. This is a lie! Because I came to them and they said there is time from 1pm until 4 pm. Yes, it was possible to make the delivery the next day, as I wanted. The store said it was possible. I decided to change the delivery time in the account myself, but now it is not possible to do at a time when there are windows in the schedule of my condominium. City furniture, damn it, where is my discount? Where is my delivery and where is my sofa? This is disgusting! Do not make an online service if you can not do it. Since the order was online, to attract attention to this problem, I will put the same reviews on all your stores in the Miami metropolitan area. Several years ago I bought a desk from you that I was not able to check during the time that you give for checking. It was packed and stood in the hallway due to the impossibility of arranging the furniture in place. Time passed, I opened it and the table was damaged!!! I kept it for myself. A nightmare! I move almost every year and change furniture often. Even Ikea has better service! I also want to add! Where do your managers from online stores call from? From toilets? The connection is always very bad and I can barely understand what they are saying! I want to make an update. They refunded me the price difference. That's good) That is, they gave me the discount I mentioned earlier. In the end, I was able to negotiate delivery. The company uses modern technology and automation, which ultimately does not always simplify the process and benefit customers. A complex system of coordinating windows for unloading in home associations. In my case, they found the phone number of my condo on the Internet and could not get through. this is possible. In fact, the phone number of the elevator service is different. I was able to get through there in one go and make an appointment. City Furniture wanted a direct confirmation from them by phone or email from them. Personally, I had to manually match what delayed delivery to my address. The managers work remotely, which I consider unprofessional, because they either have a bad connection or extraneous sounds / conversations in the background. Positive things: I like their selection and options

Unfortunately, more of the same from this place. I only wish I had read and considered these reviews prior, because they matter! It is painfully obvious City Furniture is deliberately scamming customers. Yes, they are intentionally misrepresenting products on their showroom floor. We bought 2 console tables. The first delivery attempt arrived with two console tables that looked nothing like the one on showroom. In addition, each table arrived with clear defects/repair attempts. They scheduled a 2nd delivery and what a surprise....the two tables were vastly different from one another! Yes two completely different tables. One table table had a very rough and grainy top and the other a very smooth top. And again, neither table looked anything like the one on showroom floor. After countless hours on the phone, they decided you know what? Sorry no refund. Why? Because according to a puppet from their Tamarac corporate office, no two tables are alike and will come with unique markings. You see...this is precisely how the scam is set into motion. This puppet believes that by simply saying silly little phrases, like "unique markings" that City is now completely absolved from any wrongdoing. As though, I went into their warehouse and purposely chose defective and completely different items from the one I thought I was buying. This Tamarac puppet knows damn well this is wrong and that if it were her or her parents on the other side, she'd be outraged. And guess what...the tables with the "unique markings" aka defects/repair attempts are still at our house and no one has bothered to call and schedule pickup? They are simply hoping we will go away. Sorry, but we're just getting started.

SCRATCHES EVERYWHERE

It was my first experience with you (HORRIBLE). I bought a table with 6 chairs. The first 6 chairs, I received them all with scratches (CLAIM NUMBER 01230591) The table base was broken (CLAIM NUMBER 01251549) I went to the store to find a solution! The salesperson Nicholas helped us a lot, always looking for a solution. But, the Store Manager: Juan Palacios, really treated us very badly, he never wanted to help us, without respect, as if we were malicious, when I am paying for expensive products and I just want them to arrive in good condition! Terrible customer service from Store Manager in North Miami, Florida .. He told us that to receive a product in good condition you have to pay an extra 150 dollars for "Delivery". So if you send "free shipping", the products won't arrive properly? It is assumed that if I buy something new and quite expensive, it should come totally perfect. How am I going to have to pay extra money to buy something new? I made an exchange for 6 new chairs, more expensive item, and yesterday I received again 3 chairs with scratches and one chair does not have 2 bases. Without their boxes, all the chairs already assembled and scraped. The trucker was embarrassed, he also took the photos. This is incredible! When I pay for a new product, I expect to receive a 100% brand new, quality-controlled product.) Thanks Fernando

Scratch on the marble floor

I will give 0 star if I could. We ordered almost everything for the living room and bedrooms in an apartment from City Furniture. When they delivered on 11/15, the guys did such a lousy job. One of the sofa legs was wobbly and the screws fell the next day, it is a sectional sofa, they did not even hook the two pieces together. The worst part is, they left a deep scratch on the marble floor and a mysterious black piece glued to the floor, which we just spent $1300 to polish. Since we do not live in the apartment, we did not find out until the next day. When we reported the damage to city furniture, they kept telling us the damage has to be reported within 24 hours from delivery and refuse to be responsible for the damage. Again no one has told us about this 24-hour policy. Every time you call the customer service, it is at least a 45 minutes wait until you can talk to a live person. Stay clear, I will never buy anything from City Furniture again. We should all boycott this company.

Placed my order and waited patiently. Order was delivered broken. Waited again for new pieces. They sent the wrong pieces. Also broken. Everything was returned to delivery drivers. However we were still billed $1,890. City furniture refuses to help or return calls. They scammed us out almost $2,000. Do not order from them. Take your business far away. We even tried coming into the corporate office and was turned away. After leaving first review on Google I was I got a response saying to email them so they could help me. Which was actually false when I emailed me. All they could say was their hands are tied. Sty far away! Message me privately for all pictures videos and details. Looking to hire an attorney this week.

Then I guess he didn't like that I said that and kept arguing with a customer? Interesting... So i told him it's fine, i'll come to the store and you can help me there since the website wasn't even working ANYWAYS. When I went to the store took me almost an hour just to make someone come to my place. One week later someone finally comes, payed a $80 fee to bring them so i told myself it's fine if they'll give me / repair my mattress for free since my warranty. The guy looks and looked, took the information back and went back to the store. A few days later I get a email saying they're not willing to get it because of some policy? Even THOUGH they told me at the store when I bought it this warranty covers anything... Very very odd. The employees don't have any connections between each-other, and the service was truly disappointed and terrible. Long story short, if you'd like to get disappointed & scammed out of your money, go here! If you'd like to be pleased and not scammed, visit somewhere else.

I recently went there to purchase just a bed (mattress, box and bedframe) George only showed me one style & was very dismissive to any further interactions. I'm not sure if the guy was racist or solely about business & nothing else, but he made me feel as if he didn't want to hear about my experience of any kind... he just wanted my money & me out of his store immediately after our business transaction. Oddly enough, when the alleged new bed arrived there was a rip in it as well as a countless amount of strings from the stitches of the mattress sticking out everywhere (I took pictures as well as a video). When I called back the same day as well as the following day and left detailed messages I received no courtesy callback whatsoever.
