BUYERS BEWARE! I just spent months try to exchange 2 pieces that are of terrible quality. EXCHANGE NOT RETURN. I was promised parts,that were supposed to help this mess, were ordered on 12/6/19.. they have never arrived and each time I call they say they are on the way. After spending 10k to include 3 year warranty I am furious with the many errors they have made. They did allow one exchange on pieces that didn't fit upon delivery. I used credit on overpriced items and they sent incorrect colors and scratched items. I was able to exchange scratched due to warranty. General manager doesn't return calls. Worked with two showroom mangers to get this resolved. As of this writing I still have not received promised parts.. customer service useless So now, 3 years later, this company is still useless. They sold me a warranty for $760 dollars and I was told that if not used, I would get a store credit for that amount. This never happened. They insist they mailed it to me.. I never received and then they have the nerve to say that it is now expired. I was told it's their policy.. not used.. expired! How does something I NEVER RECEIVED qualify as expired. I spoke to several managers who said " sorry" and even sent an email to CEO which wasn't answered. As a New Home Consultant, I was able to help new homeowners with every phase of building and furnishing their homes..City Furniture is by far the worst company to do business with. Serve was horrible they charge you for VIP service and you buy lots of furniture and carpets and you are told that when their delivery guy breaks something you have 24 hours to report it. I had a carpet that I waited in on back order for 4 months. The delivery guy was just going to hand it to me. I said you are suppose to lay it down. He had a attitude. But he did it. In the mean time they moved the couch to put the rug underneath it. They left and the next day I noticed the recliner part of the sofa was not working it was unplugged. I have two herniated disc in my back, and I could not move it by myself. I had to wait till I could someone there. When I did get the cord out out from behind the couch, the prongs were broke off into the outlet. I immediately called the sales person and she said call it into City furniture. I made the report, but because they said it's over 24 hours they will not cover it.. From what I'm hearing and reading they do not respect long-standing customers. They would rather lose a customer and have bad reviews than replace the cord their delivery guys broke. Take you business to a reputable furniture store. Almost a year later, I'm still waiting on a piece of furniture. I paid in full last summer for an entire bedroom set. Much of it arrived damaged, what didn't arrive damaged, literally broke the next day I've called dozens of times for the remaining piece of furniture, spoken w countless managers in Ocoee and So Florida to no avail. This is the absolute worst company to do business with. They've made so many promises about follow up, delivery, product replacement and yet nothing has happened. We went to City Furniture in Ocoee, FL to buy Furniture for our new home in Georgia, because they told us we could pick everything up before the end of September. We ended up spending over $17,000. City Furniture emailed us and let us know that we could pick up our living room sectional, dining room, one bedroom and bases and mattresses. We rented a 20' truck, but when they loaded the truck we were told that only part of the items were available so we ended up with bits and pieces. Several of the pieces were cracked or broken! We went back 2 weeks later and picked up another partial load and when we opened boxes we found more damaged pieces and wrong colors. City Furniture informed us that it would be December before we could pick up the balance of our order so we canceled everything that was left. We filed damage claims, but have not heard back from them. I'm a 100% service connected disabled veteran and our main reason for buying from City Furniture was because we were promised everything before the end of September. We bought the furniture in August of 2021. We realized that they will promise anything just to make a sale knowing that they couldn't keep the promises! When I called their store for assistance the same week, they could not assist me. So when I was a single customer with a concern, I couldn't be helped, however, after I posted a negative review that may impact future sales, they were pretty eager with "How can we make this better?" First and last purchase with City Furniture. The sales process was fine, but the "premium delivery" gets 0 stars.The bed frame was delivered incomplete. The installers were more worried to confirm the delivery was made than addressing the issue that the delivery was missing parts. The side boards were installed incorrectly, so the cabinets are near the head of the bed and cannot be open if the night stand is present. The slats were missing, so I'm sleeping on the floor while I wait for support to call me. After 48 hours later, managers contacted and faulty delivery completed, I am still waiting to get this done correctly. This is my first and last purchase with City Furniture. Good luck with your purchase, but I personally do not recommend their premium service, non-existing support and internal process to handle a fair customer complaint. Horrible experience. Decided to give this store a try. Found 9 pieces my parents wanted to purchase that moment. Wanted to negotiate the price (I know they can as I had a 10% discount in my email, didn't tell the sales person). He told me the best they can do is free shipping. When I told him I know he can do better than that, He assured me that no one can do anything for me. There are no discounts for anyone, even for the friends of the CEO. Megan, was very nice and looked into the issue and was able to schedule a redelivery of the original 3 pieces. However, it took this post for City Furniture to reach out to me and when asking for a confirmation of the new delivery I was then told one of the pieces was discontinued and I would not be receiving it. The electric recliner is no longer available. I am not sure why I was offered re-delivery of a piece of furniture that was no longer available. But, I guess that also explains why I got an older piece because they are just scrambling picking things up off the showroom floors to deliver to people who purchased BRAND NEW items. Anyways, I am returning the entire sofa and receiving a refund. The earliest our schedules are able to coordinate for it to be picked up is October 16 then the refund it takes 3 to 5 business days after that to appear back in my account. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!!! City Furniture is AWFUL!!! *The only highlight of this entire experience was Octavia, my salesperson. She was very sweet and helpful during the purchasing process. So, I purchased a sectional and ottoman from the showroom two weeks ago (01/19/2019). The shopping experience was great! The showroom is beautiful and well maintained. My wife found a piece that she liked and we decided to purchase. The purchase process was super simple. Our sales rep sat down with me on the sofa we were purchasing. Pulled out her iPad and started the order process. When she pulled up the totals her system was showing a price that was $100 more than what we saw online for the ottoman. She quickly brought this up to her manager and they adjusted the price accordingly (10/10 so far). When we were going through the order process the rep notified me that the items we wanted were not in stock and would not be delivered until 02/02/2019 (today). My wife really liked the furniture, and we don't mind waiting, so we agreed to have the pieces delivered on the stated date through our transaction process. Once the purchase was complete the rep notified me that the furniture was scheduled to be delivered on 02/02/2019. I was told that I would receive a phone confirmation 24 hours before delivery (02/01/2019), and that I would receive a call from the delivery staff the morning of delivery (02/02/2019) with a two hour window for delivery time. My wife and I had a fairly large sectional to accommodate our family. We scheduled to have it picked up on 02/01/2019 so that there would be room for the new furniture on 02/02/2019. We figured, worst case scenario we don't have a place to sit with the kids for a day. On 02/01/2019 I was working a normal day, expecting the call to come in at some point. I had reached the end of my day and decided to call in to customer care to find out what was going on. I called in, waited over 30 minutes after going through automated prompts to be hung up on by the system. By the time I called back I received the notification that customer care was closed for the day...This is where the problems started. On 02/02/2019 I try to call customer care again, same issue of sitting on hold after going through automated prompts. After 15 minutes (website said call will be answered within 10 minutes) I decided to hang up and use the live-chat option. A rep connected with me within 2 - 3 minutes. So, I was chatting with the customer service rep about my order. She was very informative and notified me that the furniture purchased is currently on back order, and orders were never placed by the store that I completed my purchase. It was stated to me that I should have been notified by customer care that the delivery date would be adjusted, but since the store never placed the order, customer care didn't even have it on their radar. At this point my disenchantment with the experience is at a peak. I was super pleased with my purchasing experience. With no notice I'm stuck with no furniture and no idea as to when I'm going to receive the furniture I have already paid for. I contact the customer care department and I'm told that they are not able to assist me through this matter due to the fact that the store did not place the order. I feel like everyone is pointing fingers at everyone else and playing blame games, as opposed to just fixing the problem. From my perspective, as of 01/19/2019 I went to a store, selected a product, paid for said product, was provided a date in which I will receive the products (02/02/2019). It's now 02/02/2019 and I have still paid for said product, but have no idea when I will be receiving it, nor can I find anyone that can ACTUALLY resolve this matter. I'm too busy talking to people pointing fingers at other people. I have tried calling the store to find out what can be done about this matter and have yet to get a hold of anyone. This place is huge. Seriously, take some time and stroll around to see everything they have to offer. I like that the furniture is mixed up so it's just not "bedrooms are here, kitchens here, and living rooms over there." The staff was helpful but not pushy so that was a plus. We didn't feel rushed to make a decision or anything. There were a few pieces of furniture we liked but we haven't committed to anything as of yet. Seeing the other reviews I'm actually rethinking those purchases. There is a cafe and wine bar inside but it wasn't open when we went, 6pm on a weeknight, so is that just a weekend thing? read more

I have a few items to review. (I originally purchased my furniture on 11/10 and am still waiting for the process to be complete). First up, the purchasing experience. All in all, great experience. Really liked the show room. There was a lot of options. I spent about 5 hours at the store that day and ended up purchasing about 20 pieces from the store. That's a pretty considerable amount to spend and have the following experience but if I were to just rate the store and furniture I'd give both 4-5 stars. Now, I purchased the items. There was an additional item I wanted and I had to ask for days about it and try to get pricing from my sales rep. She never got me the info and I ended up finding it on Amazon so bought it there instead. If I had to rate my rep I'd give her 3 stars and that's even iffy. I'm in sales and it was mediocre service at best. Next, the delivery. I was slated to receive a delivery 1:30-4:30. They showed up at 8:30 and didn't leave my house until 10:30. I was never notified by the company of the delay and I had to keep calling them to see if there was any status update. Then, they get there and 4 items are missing which I am then told they were on back order and I will receive around Dec 3. They also put together my table but didn't complete it and the base of the cabinet in my table is just sitting on the floor underneath it. The delivery process I would rate at 2 stars. The actual guys were very nice and obviously doing what they could and trying to finish their day. For them I would rate 3-4 stars. Finally got a call the back order items could be delivered Dec 9 which was barely in time for the guests I had coming to stay on the 10th and one of the items was the bed I had ordered. Then I get a call that day asking me if I had the rails to the bed because they only had the headboard and footboard. Ummm no, definitely don't. So now I had to completely cancel the bed which it's end of December and I am still waiting for part of that refund that was supposed to be given to me and I've asked 3 times already. I had to then go buy a bed somewhere else so my guests had something to sleep on. Now, it's December 29, I received my last part of the delivery on Thursday and SURPRISE it's wrong. The tables are the wrong heights and so now I am waiting for the right tables to be delivered. So, furniture quality and store, great. But be careful with the service and timeframe. I hope no one has to go thru everything I have which is a shame. I have more I need to get and will not be going back there. read more

Worst customer service. After waiting on the phone for 40 minutes they put you back on hold again for 50 minutes! Sofa and beds are very bad quality! Head board movers back and forth. Sofa is very very light!! Don't recommend buying from them! Also dinning room chairs were on back order so we have to purchase from else where. While City came to deliver theirs I was assembling my own dinning chairs. Guess what City said they delivered my chairs because they saw dinning chairs in the photo! But that's my chairs!!! Submitted the clam in already! Unbelievable! Item delivered damaged and they offered $100 on Each piece now they said they can't do it. We went here for this weekend's Grand Opening. And yes, the store is big and beautiful with a Starbucks and wine bar inside, but for this review, let's remember it's a furniture store whose goal is to sell furniture. We browsed and didn't see anything we loved except these two small poofs. They had about 10 around the store so I figured we could take it home today. I flagged down a sales associate and asked to make the purchase. He plugged it in his iPad and said we couldn't have any of the ones from the floor but he would check inventory in the warehouse. He looked and they wouldn't have any until tomorrow, could I come back. The store is 40 minutes from our house so I said it was very out of the way, could they deliver. He looked that up and said, "yes, for $39" ummmmmmmm... in this great day and age of amazon two day free home delivery, you want to charge me $39 for 2 poofs?! For a product you literally could hand me from the show floor (knowing you could get yourself another one by tomorrow)?! So, I said no thank you and left empty handed. I ordered a sofa and loveseat back on 5/13/2020. The items were damaged by the delivery team who chose to use stairs in my building when I had advised we had a huge elevator to move furniture in the building. The driver advised he didn't want to move his truck to the other side of the building where the elevator was located. The delivery team also laid our cushions on the sidewalk of our building, which is located in a busy shopping plaza (my apartment is above a Cheesecake Factory restaurant). We thought this was high risk with Covid-19 being a transferrable virus. We advised the customer service team (even provided pictures of the damages as well as the cushions on the sidewalk) requested a refund and they said their policy was no refunds. After speaking with 2 customer service managers they advised that the items could be reordered and sent out as soon as they were available. We were shortly after given a delivery date for the replacement items. When we didn't get a confirmation call before the delivery was supposed to arrive, we called in to customer service and they had advised that the pieces weren't available for another month or so. (they didn't even call to advise that this is what was happening with our order) After speaking to 2 different managers, the resolution that was offered was to go back into the store and reselect different pieces. We accepted the offer and picked out a new sectional, which cost us an additional $300. (we didn't feel comfortable even doing business with the brand at that point but it was the only other item in the showroom we had liked and everyone we spoke to insisted that they would not issue a refund because their policy prohibits it). The Reorder for the sectional was submitted 6/17/2020. We were in the process of moving and provided customer service with our new address to ensure there were no issues with the delivery. On the day the items were supposed to be delivered we received a call from the delivery driver saying they were at the wrong address. The customer service associate didn't change the address for the delivery. At this point the items were about 2 weeks out on delivery being available and we scheduled delivery for Saturday 8/8/2020. We received a phone call from the store manager on 8/6/2020 informing us that the items would not be delivered. Apparently it is City furniture business practice that if an order is more that 2 weeks out they could take merchandise from one order to fulfill another order with a sooner delivery date. He indeed confirmed that is what happened. We immediately drove to the store and advised the manager that we were beyond frustrated with the experience. He then advised that our sectional was showing not available in their system. The manager called back today 8/7/2020 to advise that the items were actually discontinued and no longer available for order. He then transferred me to customer service and escalations which I spent almost 2 hours on hold combined in an effort to seek a resolution. The agent on the phone advised that no refund would be issued. After speaking to 2 managers today they insisted that even though their error caused the delays, and their policy which would take furniture from one customer and deliver it to another customer just days before the items were expected to be delivered, even if it meant our items wouldn't arrive on time, was unfortunate but out of their control and we were told the only option was reselection of new pieces. Mind you, if you read above you can put together how horrific the first reelection went. I am beyond words for the lack of care for the consumer by the City Furniture brand. I work for a huge international brand and we would never let anything like this happen and deny a customer the resolution they seek, especially when its within their means to do so. This place is huge. If your looking for new furniture you have no reason to go any where else. City Furniture has a variety of furniture styles that you can choose from. They have coastal, farmhouse traditional something called Miami Modern and several others. You can probably furnish most rooms in your home. The furniture is set up in little room like areas with everything you would have in that particular room. The consultants that work in the store try hard to help recreate your dream room for your home. I'll definitely be back. read more

I would have liked to give them a NO STAR rating but to leave a review you have to be select something but they are not deserving of that. Having said that I ordered a power sectional couch and a stand alone couch in all about $6800 in and was going to purchase the rest of the furniture for two 7 bedroom homes and 7000sq ft plus my brother and i visited together but he did not feel comfortable with them and i needed at least a couch as i had family coming over. So the person who was assisting me had a iPad which had the inventory that they had access to and as we looked around i had a date that i needed the couches by the 8 of June, naturally as we looked for what we wanted she would say this is available for your requested time frame or not. We then settled for something that we would get the couch by the 1st of June but the stand alone couch would be on backorder as it had depleted as we were deciding to pull the trigger or not. So with that pressure she said there's a very limited amount and we need to make a decision if we wanted them by the requested date so we settled and made the purchase and was shown that all will be available and delivered on the 1st and sold an extended warrantee. we left the store and in the next few day we got emails and text messages stating order is complete and we will be notified before delivery. Well comes the day of delivery and i get a call in the morning from the delivery person that i am missing more pieces then originally stated and the rest he was not sure so he asked me if i want the delivery or wait, naturally one would ask what is the time frame and i was told that there is no certainty and that i would have to call my sales person so i refused the delivery as what would i do with half a couch, i mentioned that the would the store be open and was told no and that he would have customer care call back, which did happen and they told me that the couch would be available sometime in august so i said cancel the order and refund my money, and to my surprise i was told that the store and that my sales person is the only one that can do this for me, i was shocked and stated what if the person was out critically ill, died or quit what happens then. To that i was told that that is the company policy and someone from the store would call me at 10am once they open so i was kind of upset and asked that how did this happen and go on backorder when in the store it was available and in stock, to which i was told that that was never the case and to wait for the store to call me at then as she has left a message. I waited till like 11:20am before calling as i had not received a call, call i did spoke to someone who said the manager in on another call so to hold, i did and nobody answered and went to voice mail, i left a message stating please call me back. Guess what no call back for about 2 hours so i call back speak with someone having expressed my issue i was again put on hold and told to call back Saturday as sales associate on vacation till then which further frustrated me and quickly understood the delay tactic being played and was hung up on. I called back but this time long rings and no answers as it seems that my call was being screened so i called back from a different number and said that i would like to add to my order to which i got someone who stated if i have ever purchased from them if so what was my phone number and i gave my phone number, they saw that i had a purchase, the situation but to talk to someone this is what was needed and then i stated to them that i need to be refunded again i was told the same company policy to which i said if you can't accommodate my request then i will put a stop payment/fraud on my card for that transaction and we will take it from there and hung up. read more

The staff here were very rude except the manager (who's name I didn't get) who ended up coming into the situation once it was too late. I was already done and leaving by that point. I ended up driving all the way to the City Furniture in The Villages just to get decent customer service. I even called all the other stores in the area first and no one would answer the phone. I would caution against going to this particular store. Hopefully the service is better at other locations closer to Apopka. It's a shame I had to drive so far but Hank in the Villages helped me out. read more

I purchased a sectional from City Furniture last summer and also purchased extended warranty because CF salesman told us the furniture is perfect if you have a pet and if any damage occurs it will be replaced. One corner piece became worn in less than one year. We called CF warranty Dept and sent pictures. Weeks later someone comes out to my house with a sewing kit. It's obvious from the pictures it couldn't be sewed. CF said they don't make parts for that piece and the extended warranty doesn't cover normal wear and tear. Do not purchase furniture from City Furniture and certainly do not purchase their extended warranty. What kind of furniture doesn't last one year from normal wear and tear? They messed up our order also. My wife spent 3 hours on the bedroom floor trying to assemble our new bed when she realized she didn't have all the parts. Who were told that a manager would call us back within the hour but of course they didn't so we shoot up at the store personally to complain. The staff there seemed unsympathetic and we were told that people make mistakes and this never happens to them. Jay Jones the store manager offered us 100 dollars off our bill after two days of negotiating with him. We will never stop there again. read more

We purchased a beautiful dining room set and it is either defective or was put together with haste and without care. The table and three of the chairs are not flush to the ground. Basically, they're wobbling and uneven. We called customer care and are having them replaced BUT the agent was rude for no reason. We understand you have to uphold your policy but need you be rude to do so? Anyway, we've spent $10,000+ with City Furniture over the past 5 years and we will NEVER purchase from here again. read more

If I could give negative stars for the customer service after the initial sale I would. Had a super nice and helpful salesman who convinced us to buy the split king-sized (two XL twins) temper adapt med bed. Thought it was a great idea. Was told we could get a full refund (by him and the manager on staff that day) and they would take everything back if we let them know within 3 days, like policy states, no problem. I have two bulging disks and was desperate for a good night's rest and with the refund guaranteed why not pull the trigger. Slept one night and could barely get out of bed, let alone walk. Called that day and asked to return. Customer service said my body needs to adjust, that we (my husband and I) needed to keep it for 21 days then we could return it. We have been sleeping in the guestroom since, called again and now they are saying that they never said that, that they will not refund or accept the return. If anything they would ONLY replace the mattresses. Garbage company, liars, don't recommend. read more

We bought a couch from City Furniture not even a year ago and we have had nothing but issues. Every single cushion has ripped at the seams. Every cushion along the back of the couch is sagging and the entire back of the couch is buckling. They continue to sent technicians to my home to "fix" the problems and every single time, the technician says it's unrepairable. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get someone on the phone. you wait on hold for hours to end up having to hang up. The call back feature doesnt even get anyone to call you back. Going to the store leads to "we don't have a manager on duty". Which forces you to use their text feature for hour long conversations instead of someone just calling to resolve the issue and even after texting for an eternity, you get no where. They refuse to take the couch back. we didn't even ask for a refund, we said we would take store credit, but they continue to say no and would rather us constantly call them with the newest issue with the couch. The quality of their furniture is complete garbage and the customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with. I'm not even sure how this company is still in business. read more

BE AWARE of this store I bought a mattress for my son sell's person was Coneille they sent me a wrong size mattress The bed support was broken they taped it the delivery guys are far more worst customer service is HELL 3 weeks after I still have the mattress standing on my walls my son still have no mattress I don't want to sell it online because I will get less money for it I paid $600+ I don't know what to do read more

Ordered and paid for tables in May 2020 for teacher's lounge. Delivery July 15 - 3 out of 6 tables damaged Delivery July 20 - 3 tables damaged Delivery July 23 - 2 tables damaged Delivery July 25 - 2 tables damaged, 1 table good Tables on back order until October. Backorder extended until November. Backorder extended again until January 2021. January 25 - only one table delivered instead of two. January 26 - per Customer Care table on backorder until February. February 12 - unable to access delivery area, so driver left w/o calling. February 12 - received call from Customer Care and told delivery rescheduled for February 16. February 16 - received call from Customer Care that table on backorder until April!!! Will be eleven months for my order to be completed! read more

I am beyond frustrated and disappointed with my experience with City furniture in Ocoee. I purchased a dining room table with four chairs in October of last year. I was promised a delivery date of December when that delivery date came the morning of they called to say the table base was here but not the table top and no chairs were not available until January. A week later they called my table is now back in and the whole table is available.January I get my table I have the table from January till April with no chairs April comes I get all four chairs but the chairs now do not match the table that I bought one is antique white and the other is bright white. Plus all four chairs do not match the table one chair is broken they send out someone to fix the broken chair that I've waited since October for the person that fix the chair put some thing in the bottom of the leg still wobbles had to go back to the store to get me another chair they replace the chair. They had to replace the dining room table again because it did not match the chairs that were delivered. When the table came it had two oil spots on the top and half of the table was not finished it was super dry when the other half of the table was glossy. I called customer service a total of three times waited over 45 minutes for each one of those calls finally hung up decided to go into the store. Went into the store told manager Michael all about my experience since October of last year the manager said how sorry he was gave me his email address told me to just send me the pictures of the table and he would have it replaced that week. Sent him a total of four emails did not respond to one of them. Decided to file a claim myself less than two hours later I get a text message from the warranty department saying that my claim was denied they will not fix the table or return the table. That it was all on me. I told him that was unacceptable I went back into the store they opened another claim sent out a furniture repair person to fix my brand new table that I spent $2300 on he decided to strip the table he stripped the table and put some kind of spray finish on it said give it 10 hours and it would be like new. I woke up this morning and the table is like raw wood dry and even more oil spots on it it looks awful. I called the furniture repair person this morning and he said sometimes that happens but now I have to call city furniture again and then they would send him back out to put a coating on it. This is my brand new table that now needs furniture repairs on it. I am so frustrated and so disappointed with the service at city furniture. I would not recommend ever! I am now waiting on the store to open so I can go in AGAIN to be even more frustrated. read more
