My wife and I bought a new bedroom set in white from City Furniture. Within a month, dresser and bed frame began to show blots of yellow stain. When we called customer service to inform them of the issue, they were rude and condescending telling us that after 30 days(we had the furniture for a month and a half) all we can do is make an appt for someone to come and fix it for $50 or drop the furniture off at the store for free. For the money you spend this place, you'd think they'd try to be somewhat accommodating. We did a very large furniture order with City furniture 9 months ago. A good portion of the items I received were damaged in some way and about half pieces look like they may have been used/returned before. One of those items was a credenza. We asked that the credenza be replaced because it appeared it had already attempted to be repaired and looked bad. We are still waiting for the credenza to be replaced and the most recent date I have been told is next month. The problem is every time we get close to a new delivery date it gets rescheduled. One time City Furniture even cancelled my exchange without calling me. I asked why my exchange would be cancelled and no one could tell me. I have asked if I have any other options, and I am told to wait or take a very very small amount of cash and keep the damaged piece, or a larger value of store credit, but I am not taking that after this mess. All of this is pretty bad right? What makes it significantly worse is City Furniture significantly understaffs their support line. So to speak with a human you either have to wait for potentially hours, or have them call you back many hours later. Honestly if I could just get an honest date on when my replacement credenza would be delivered I would be happy, but at this point I feel like I am getting scammed. I have waited 6 months for a replacement, every 2 weeks to 1 month getting a new date for delivery. That math does not add up at this point unless their "next delivery date" is not based on any real information like when more will be delivered. read more

OCOEE, FL - City Furniture began as a positive experience.... Upon delivery it was completely unacceptable. No where was it understood that we should remove our existing box spring , mattress and slats before they would install our bed. Even though it was expected that the delivery team would be taking the mattress & box spring with them upon installing the new one. Upon arrival we were expected to remove the mattress and box spring with slats, while these three young men just stood watching us claiming they were installers and not movers. Please help me to understand if my husband or I were seniors or handicapped... how would this have been handled? Completely poor delivery service! Originally, We had a great interaction with the sales rep in the Ocoee store. However, after (only) two months the sofa cushion is already ripping. And we rarely use this sofa. We called customer service and the best they could do is send someone out to sew it up for $50. Sloppy manufacturing. The sofa is basically new and they won't do anything for us. Had a lot of communication issues about a sofa. I was offered several dates that deliveries were suppose to be made. I cleared my calendar and delivery kept getting moved back to the next week. Finally I thought there was a breakthrough and turns out my sofa I was going to get was damaged during shipment so was asked to wait another week. I was very excited about my purchase with City Furniture. The sales associate Cheryl was extremely helpful and accommodating during my visit to buy a sofa. The couch was even delivered earlier than expected and delivery was seamless. However, the couch was damaged, and upon trying to resolve the issue with customer service, was told there was nothing that could be done about it. The managers are no different. They will tell you that you will receive a call back in 24 hours (LIE), they don't call. Promised delivery on 6/18/22 of a 3 piece sectional. Crew (who were very kind and patient) showed up with 2 pieces, one of which didn't even go with the sectional. We are currently left with one correct piece awaiting delivery of the other 2 pieces sometime next week. The delivery date was one of the main reasons we chose this couch, given that most others were back ordered until August or September. Nothing other than "sorry, our hands are tied" was offered as a way to make it better. We will never use City Furniture in the future, nor do we recommend it for others to use. The store, sales rep and furniture are all nice but the Naples sectional we purchased is garbage. The springs are failing already and we only purchased it just over a year ago in August 2019. The manufacturer only offers a 1 year warranty because they know the furniture is poorly made. I should have listened to my mother-in-law who told me not to shop here. We were passing buy and decided to stop in. A mattress we were interested in was on sale. I never buy furniture unless there is interest free financing. I asked if they had that and sales person said yes, 60 months. Did the deal. Applied for card, checked out and asked again to show me 60 month interest free. She said it was right here, 60 month special. Ok. Get my mattress, get my credit statement and I'm charged interest. Called credit card and said it was 60 months special at 9.99%. Trying to get sales person on the phone was impossible. Whenever I spoke to someone about this issue, they told me to call corp office. They would tell me to speak to sales rep. Back and forth for weeks. Finally spoke to manager who said he would look into it. Weeks goes by and finally spoke to home again after many calls and massages. He said he was able to get interest free and resubmitted. Asked for email confirmation which I never got. 2 more cycle later, still charge interest and credit card company said they didn't get anything resubmitted. Trying to get manager on the phone was impossible. 5 months later, I gave up. I will never shop at ANY City Furniture store again. Shop elsewhere. You will be happy you did. read more

This is long but please read. I wish I had read the reviews prior to purchasing here. DO NOT BUY FROM CITY FURNITURE. We paid over $5k for a sectional sofa. We have had 3 deliveries so far and the couch is still not fully functional. Delivery #1: An end piece recliner was missing from the delivery and a console table was damaged. Delivery#2: the end piece was delivered but never attached to the rest of the sofa. (I did not realize this until after the drivers had left) And the new replacement console table was damaged. Delivery #3: third replacement console table is damaged! What a shocker. The driver said he could 'fix it'. He took a marker of some sort and went over the chip. That's not fixed, that's just covering up the chip. And the two drivers still could not connect the end piece to the rest of the sofa. Apparently the frames do not line up correctly. So now, we have to have a tech come out to solve the problem. This will be our 4th visit from City Furniture and we have nothing but a damaged, incomplete piece of furniture to show for it. I would say their customer service is awful but it's not their fault that the higher ups are greedy awful people. I wanted restitution for them wasting my time and delivering me a 'new' damaged sofa. They told me they couldn't do anything to help me. They are frauds and sheisters. $5k and I have a sofa I don't even want anymore. This place is an absolute ripoff. Stay as far away as you possibly can. FOLLOW UP: A city furniture technician just left my house, he was unable to connect the end piece recliner to the rest of the sofa. One set of chest of drawers had a broken foot and drawers are all out of whack, looks like it had been dropped. Bed was missing hardware. After sending in pictures and speaking to many people after being given the run around, they wanted to send someone to repair it instead of replacing it. After saying no, it needs to be replaced, it had to be reordered which has taken another three weeks! The bed parts finally arrived after weeks. Love how much inventory they have to look thru. Teryca was so wonderful in helping my husband and I build a shopping list that was emailed to us before we left so we could easily look over it later at home. She wasn't pushy at all and the selection of modern furniture is unbeatable in other furniture stores around the area. The coffee, beer, and wine bar didn't hurt either! Also the selection of accent items was nicely sectioned into style types which I appreciate. Probably the WORST purchasing experience I've ever been a part of... Everything is great until they get your money then ALL disappointing from there. I purchased a table and chairs for my dining room in July 2021. The sales associate told us that it was on back order until mid - August and we agreed to this. The table was delivered damaged and reported the same day, we were given an option to exchange the table, or have it repaired but the exchange would be back ordered until October now. Still, we decided to take the new table because we didn't want a repair, we wanted what we paid for "A brand new undamaged table". I never heard anything from them in October and contacted this time though a chat style discussion and was again told we could get it repaired but the new table would be delivered January 3rd 2022. Today is January 24th and I've heard nothing from them, I called the store this time to request a manager there and was told they had no control but would have someone from their customer care representative contact me. They did call only to tell me now again I could get a repair but would have to wait until late April to receive my table. Both of the last two times when informed about the repair I asked to get the repair tech out but wanted to stay in line for the exchange in case it wasn't repaired 100% and was told no. This is the worst experience I've ever had with a company purchasing and will never spend money with them or Ashley again. Bryce (the "Buisness owner" who responded to my review) I've emailed who you've directed me to, all the details but still haven't heard back. Am I to believe this is another sad attempt to silence my review? Don't do it! I ordered a sectional in March, they said it would be here by May. Half the couch was back ordered so they were going to just send me one half with no date for the other half. It took two days to get someone on the phone. I called the store a few times and was either placed on hold and nobody picked up or the phone rang and rang. I finally went on the messaging center to get someone on the phone. Just don't order from this company. Not one person cares. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. This place doesn't care about their customers and after sale service. All they care about, is making a sale. We've dealt with multiple sales reps; lily, ivy, and Maddison and customer service agents in order to have a bed that was supposed to be delivered to our home and built as of 9/16/2019. As I am writing this review it is 9/25/2019 and we've been lied to multiple times about having this bed delivered to us fully and built. Whether it's a lie about time frames or just a general lack of following up with a dissatisfied customer. The first attempted we received and an incomplete bed, and so they couldn't build it. The second attempt we received a bed support and a couple of other pieces, but still missed the second half of our head board in order to complete the bed. The third attempted we had two trucks come to our house; one truck to pick up the unfinished bed, so we can receive a complete new one. This same truck took our bed supports ( which they weren't supposed to ) and now the warehouse is unable to find them and we are delayed until 9/25/19 for a fully made bed. The second truck built the frame finally, but with no supports to put together the finished product. We've spent almost 15,000 dollars at this location, and after this experience we will never in our lives go to a city furniture ever again due to the lack of customer service from the sales teams lack to provide after sales service and the customer services teams lack to resolve issues. read more

We were Scheduled to receive our couch December 23(after being pushed from the 18th then 22nd) which was fine since we just had to make sure it was before Christmas. Catching us completely off guard, a sales rep Claudia leaves a vm (today, which is 2 days before delivery date) informing us that the couch is in back order and we won't be getting it till Feb !!! (3 days before Christmas, 3 days!) me being in complete shock and having a huge family dinner Friday the 25th, I called them back trying to find a solution and literally begging to get my couch that I paid for, I told I'm fine with a floor model, a temp couch till I get mine, anything anything, all the reps said we are sorry we understand how inconvenient it is! I kept on asking them to find me a solution but they didn't help, my husband requested to talk to a manager multiple times and the rep told him they will call back, it's 7:45PM now and no one has called back. Today and what happened and how we were treated was extremely frustrating, deceiving and down grading. We placed our order beginning of November and called multiple times to confirm delivery date. Currently I live in a house with no living room and literally no place for us to watch tv or seat my guests for Christmas. I wish I could give them a negative star. We order a sectional paid it off on February 8, 2023 & they scheduled delivery for February 10, 2023. The day of delivery they dropped off one piece. The salesman said the rest would be delivered in two weeks & we said ok no problem . Then come to find out the sectional was discontinued. Why wasn't this information given to us on February 8th? They told us to come in pick out another item & we did. Later we found the same sectional at Ashley Furniture. So we went back to the store for a full refund only to be told they have to mail a check & we'll receive it in 5 to 10 business days for half of our money & once they pick up the one piece they left we'll receive the other check in another 5 to 10 business days. This is totally unacceptable, we shouldn't have to wait on our money that long for a mistake City Furniture made. Then today February 23, 2023 they came to pick up the piece but unfortunately there's no room on the truck. What? And now City Furniture is refusing to expedite our refund, which would be they right thing to do. And all they keep telling us is their dumb process. We have purchased so many items from this location since moving into our home. From a bedroom set to our purple mattress, all our TV stands our reclining sofa and walk in entry way console. Literally have spent $10,000 if not more at this one location! Our last purchase for a dining room set turned into a complete nightmare! The delivery guys lost the screws that hold the glass frame to the table! They literally admitted it to us when they brought the table in stating they "cant find them in the truck". When I tried to get it replaced they sent out a technician that put totally wrong screws into the table! They arr suppose to be no show screws and the one he chose to install were horrible! Sticking out of the table and all. I tried to get a replacement table and was told they would deliver it that following saturday well saturday came and went and we were home waiting for a delivery that never came. There was no courtesy call to let us know they were not coming even after receiving a confirmation that they were going to deliver that saturday! Since I wasted my time waiting for a delivery that never came I decided I had enough and wanted a refund for my table...they advised me to call customer service (which are horrible and unprofessional). This process took almost THREE HOURS just to have customer service say they cant do anything about it and basically could careless the table glass was a safety hazard to the small children in my home. I was forced to exchange table for other items I cared less about purchasing since I had no need for them! The in store manager Brad or whatever his name was also could careless of the safety issue I had in my home. I asked him since its no big deal for my table to have incorrect screws installed why not give me the screw from the display and they could just install the ones they put on my table in the store display one? He said "sorry sir we cant do that" Why not? its not a safety issue!? no one is using the display table right? Love City Furniture items but their customer service, lack of empathy and how 85% of their items delivered to the home are damaged on arrival when you pay so much for "special delivery and care package" that they so called inspect your items before and after delivery is insane! I had to make a claim almost every delivery for damaged furniture and they will either send a tech or bribe you by giving you in store certificates to keep damaged merchandise.
