Wow! What a great neighborhood find. A local sports bar that was both friendly and the food was excellent and the service was superb. Obvious that most locals frequent here. Locals r not just nice. They r friendly and neighborly. We live in our DC home about 25% and in our Laguna Beach California house on the ocean the rest of the time. Came here this past Sunday for the NFL games and absolutely loved it!The game-day setup is incredible. They had every single NFL game playing, and they even labeled which teams were on which TVs, making it so easy to find and watch your team.The food was very good and way better than what you would typically expect from a standard sports bar. We ordered the wings, mozzarella sticks, and their gluten-free wraps (Richie's Club), and all of them were excellent! It's a huge plus to find a spot with such great gluten-free options that don't sacrifice flavor.On top of that, the service was fast and attentive. Food is what you'd expect from a sports type bar but generally good. Staff friendly and helpful. My biggest complaint is the volume the music is played at. Much louder than it needs to be. Hard to carry on a conversation. Disappointed because we live close by and would frequent more often. I have talked to other neighbors who feel the same way. Consider lowering the volume. read more

I was in Baltimore last week for a funeral and had a chance to stop into this local sports bar. The staff were very kind and attentive, which was impressive because they were very, very busy each visit. I happened to visit on the steak special night (NY Strip) which was cooked correctly based on my request and tasty all the same. Great drinks and great atmosphere. So I broke my own rule and got a Cheesesteak while I was in Baltimore. In my defense I was with my younger daughter and she got the crab dip. I saw on the menu Jersey cheesesteak hoagie. I figured what the heck. It was a darn good effort by my new Baltimore friends. A very good amount of meat but it was a little dry. The mushrooms were huge. The cheese and tomatoes were weak. On Sunday 6/1/20 while at Latrobe Park (directly across the street) we stumbled across this neighborhood gem. Clearly, all the locals knew about this spot because this was one of those everybody knows your name type places. I'm not from LP and was just looking for a place that my son and I could grab lunch for a picnic in the park. Since this was during the pandemic and restaurants/bars weren't yet opened City Limits was serving takeout food and beverages from their open air bar windows. I ordered the shrimp tacos with the crunchy shell (per the recommendation of the manager) and my son ordered chicken and waffles. I would like to say this place was VERY accommodating to my 7 y/o. As they only offer chicken and waffles as a menu special sometimes and they day we went chicken and waffles was not on the menu but they made it for him anyway. This means a lot to parents, way to go City Limits-you have my vote! His waffles were the big crunchy on the outside, warm and pillowy soft on the inside type of waffle. The waffles had a sweet crust on them as well, so if you're not a big syrup fan no worries this crust has you covered. I didn't try the chicken tenders but my son said they were really good. The tacos were great. The shrimp were perfectly seasoned and cooked. The taco shells were fresh and they drop them to order, according to the manager. The tacos were paired with a side of seasoned rice and beans. Later a friend joined us and ordered the shrimp quesadillas which were even better than the tacos. We also ordered an OJ, Mimosas and Peach Sangria. The alcoholic drinks were $20 each and enough for at least 4 people to drink off of. They also tasted amazing. Well worth the money. Staff was super friendly, greeted us and seated us as soon as we walked in. Overall service was really good, the waiter answered all of our questions. The tables are distanced and have the QR scanner codes on them for the menu. They offer outside seating. The food was good, it is American bar food; burgers, wings, fries, etc... they give you a lot for the price. Absolutely the local corner bar. We found this place on a Google search for "restaurants close to the highway". Reviews found said the food was good. So we hopped off the highway and tried it. While I was expecting more than a bar, that's about what I got. So, while my false expectations didn't stand a chance if did okay for what it is. The food was good for pub fare, good enough that I finished my plate and my wife took home her leftovers. Now..as for service. The staff was pleasant and fairly attentive. Remember that college sports bar that was the dive/goto place where you could see games, here tunes, get your fill of beverage, well this the place but the food and customer service is waaaaaaay better than a dive bar--- Rick runs a great place! :) 2 sides of the corner face streets and have the ability to open windows for fresh air as the AC is not of the10,000 gigawatt capacity so hot days will be warm inside, esp. if it gets crowded (like Saturday nights!!) There is bar seating, bar-high-tables and lower tables by the projection screen. The bar is a complete rectangle so you can see some screen from anywhere. There is not a lot of floor space so aisles get crowded as the place fills up since they have used all their space to accommodate seating. Wood abounds and it has that college, "hey I just tanked that Modern Algebra and Number Theory final, I need a beer" atmosphere BUT IN A GOOD WAY b/c this place is the warm pat on the back you need after blowing a test. It could just as easily be "hey, I aced that Cancer Biotechnololgy midterm, I am staaaarving (and i need a beer)" and it could also be a group of friends or coworkers celebrating closing a $10M contract; a group of girlfriends celebrating a 40th birthday; Uncle Buck's retirement party; a gang who had a bad day at the office and needs to talk shop and vent; or "we just won the Superbowl, let's grab some good food, good drinks in a party setting BEFORE we head to Walt Disney World"-- note there are some local, good taps & lots of bottles and cans, mostly domestic with a couple craft here and there. Picture all your bar-food favorites with nachos, chili, wings, sandwiches, burgers, tacos, quesadillas--- but all of them are done with quality in mind. The Maryland crab soup is a goto of mine as it is full of flavor with fresh crab meat, and no skimping here. The fish sandwich and buffalo chicken grilled cheese hit the spot for nearly opposite moods of mine--- the fish when I feel a little healthy and the cheesy buffalo chicken when I feel naughty! I build my burger with avocado, fried egg, & mushrooms and it came out great. Meat is juicy, not dry and not sopping in oil either. Tacos are a great choice with soft or hard corn shell--- I am partial to the Mahi, again to offset the caloric beer n' fatty sides I usually consume when in the bar mood. They have great deals on themed nights like steamed shrimp, etc... by 1/2 or 1 lb. Staff is quick and friendly and the atmosphere is one of kool n the gang's "celebrate" at any happy hour. i came here almost every day for the world cup and the food never gets old, I always got the cheeseburger with fries and water. Their service is nice, I love the wall of bottle-caps that shape into the Orioles baseball team masco on the wall. I'm absolutely in love with this place. I called ahead to make sure I would have a TV reserved for a NASCAR race. The staff went above and beyond to make my accommodations. They even gave great food recommendations and OMG the food is delicious!! I wish I was staying longer! I just wanted to give a shout out to the ladies working my shift. City Limits is usually the place that my fiance go too all the time (at least once a week), as well as the go to place to go with our friends, but after tonight's visit I don't see us coming back anytime soon. First off, the server (I'm assuming she's newer since we haven't seen her much before) didn't seem to really care about her tables. We watched 2 other couples sat in her section walk out before we did. I guess she was too busy talking with her friends that came in to care because she didn't didn't seem to notice that they had walked out. Secondly, she spills my drink on my fiances side of the table, says oops, and then just left it. Didn't clean it up, didn't even bring napkins, just went back to the bar. The spill just kept spreading for 20 minutes while we waited for our cheese sticks that never came before we just left what we owed on the table and walked out. I'm usually the first one to recommend City Limits, and I have had quite a few people come based on that recommendation but after tonight I'm not sure when I'll be going back myself. read more

Plenty of TVs and is a perfect place to watch NFL games. As for food, I get chicken tenders with honey mustard pretty much every time. They are solid and reliable unlike my deadbeat dad that left my mom and I. My friends have gotten everything on the menu and enjoyed all of it. Cold beer, good food, and awesome bartenders/waitstaff. There is no better place to watch football than this place! They have oodles of TV's and the big screen is great for Ravens games. The people are friendly and the staff is super. They have this orange crush drink made with fresh squeezed OJ mmmmmmmm On Wed. nights they have Trivia complete with prizes like pez, chia pets, and Spam. Food was good & one of the bartenders were super friendly. However, my friend & I were closed out but continued to talk at the bar until we were ready to go. The other bartender walked up to us & asked if we could leave so he could wipe down where we were sitting so he could get the bar cleaned up so he was able to get out on time. We were just finishing up the last of our drink and the closing time was midnight. When he said this to us, the time was 11:14pm. We got up to head out as soon as he said this but it was just incredibly rude esp since there were other ppl sitting at the bar as well. I'd say about 5 others. Either way, it was 45 minutes to close. Very unprofessional as well as unwelcoming. Not a good first bar visit. read more

This place used to be on point like no other. I literally would drive out of my way to eat a steak salad created by the owner's wife and have a few orange crushes. They used a whole orange and used Finlandia orange vodka to make it. They even had a huge poster board to advertise them and they really were the best thing in town without driving all the way to Ocean City. But the last time I was here I first noticed the poster was removed advertising the orange crushes and when I ordered it, I asked what vodka was inside. "Svedka Clementine," the bar lady said. Clementine is a type of orange, but definitely a different flavor and Svedka is far from premium vodka. I can buy the same size bottle they have behind the bar at my local liquor store for $12.99 (just $5 more than the cost of the drink). Needless to say I was disappointed and sent my drink back. I'm back again to give it another go and this time the bar lady is smiling while arguing that they only ever used grapefruit vodka. I only had countless conversations with the owner about the drink and watched him crush oranges. Sooooo annoying...Cus I really hate smartasses. At least they got the salad right this time. Last time they botched that up too. It was just unappetizing to look at, the lettuce was wilty, the steak was slim, and there were hardly any peppers and onions. Will I come back? I don't think so. I don't like surprises or being let down...OR smartasses. I'll search the city for another steak salad that isn't so out of the way and just tell the bartenders exactly how I want my drink made if necessary.
