I was disappointed with my experience at this vet. I felt the handling of my dog was too aggressive, and the doctor did not seem very gentle or caring. I was also told over the phone the exam fee was $37 but was charged $56 with no clear explanation. Additional products and medications were added without properly explaining why they were needed. My dog's hotspot was already healing, but a shave and extra charge were suggested right away without first checking the condition. Overall, I left feeling like the focus was more on adding services than on providing thoughtful care for my dog. I hope the clinic improves communication, transparency, and the way pets are handled. read more

I came here because my baby boy wasn't feeling like himself for a couple days and then the night before he just stopped eating and drinking water, I was bottle feeding him food again and water. He stopped getting up from bed to go outside and having seizures the next morning so I took him to city line pet clinic, this clinic was recommended by my mother's friends. They took me in quick and they helped me through the process that I needed to euthanize my boy, his heart wasn't doing good and his body was shutting down...it was the hardest thing but I couldn't see him suffer any longer. They helped me through it all, I was shaken and scared for him, I got to be there holding him the whole time. If I could give zero stars, I would. This veterinary office was completely negligent in treating my beloved pet, and as a result, my dog is no longer with me. the lady i spoke with told me I can walk in today anytime after 2 and that there was availability. I drove 30 minutes to bring my two dogs in for a walk in and got there at 4:30. The lady at the desk denied me service because they close at 6. I was there at 4:30. You need to be clear and communicate with your customers. You can't say one thing then deny it when I arrive. I took my baby here on Monday hoping and praying for help because she had randomly fallen sick. I told the doctor all the symptoms she had, he said her symptoms are a concern for pyometra so he took her X-rays. He told us that they looked good and that it could be a stomach infection and prescribed her a bunch of medication she didn't even need. On Tuesday I was hopeful she'll get better but didn't , on Wednesday she started having blood in her urine and in her vomit. I called at around 9:20am weds they told me if I can go in there fast they could take me in. I got in my car and got there in 20 mins. I didn't get seen until 12pm!! With my dog having incontinence in the waiting area and throwing blood clots , I was very understating because I knew they had other people infront of me (none were emergencies , I was still left until the end I was still very understanding). They did her a urine test and an ultrasound to what then the doctor lmk that it was infact pyometra. He prescribed me MORE medication since it was an open pyometra and said it should help for a while but that someday eventually she might need to get the surgery regardless.. I trusted everything he said and did nothing else hopefully she will get better. That day I started researching more and it said nothing could cure that but surgery I took her in to another vet yesterday night and sadly my baby was already too bad to even consider that the surgery would help her. The kind vet we saw at night told us that it was too late that this surgery was supposed to be done the first 24/48 hrs.We had to humanly euthanize her. She didn't eat in 3 days, she passed hungry, weak in pain. I couldn't do anything to help her and I couldn't find a compassionate enough vet in time to help her. So NO I would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

When Dr Rey was there service was excellent. I took my mini dachshund for teeth cleaning and part of the procedure was obtaining lab work. They processed with the lab work and when we got home my dog was in excruciating pain I called the next day no response I call the following Dr and Dr P said maybe he is cold get meds for pain I did and my dog died of a blood clot in the brain due to the terrible handling of the lab work I sent emails and Dr refused to accept the vet tech killed my dog nor accepted to return the money I paid for the lab work or accepted to buy me a new emotional support dog. My poor baby was 10 years old never had heart issues and I will never go back to this place. Terrible no feelings I will tell everyone what happened they killed my dog I'm so sad grieving very hard read more

Ever since Dr Rey retired the new vet is deplorable. Example: I took my kitten to be spayed. She was 6 months old and not in heat. The doctor proceeded to tell me after the procedure that she was pregnant. I asked how is that possible since she has been indoors her entire life and the only other animals in the house were 2 other female cats and 1 neutered dog? No response. Took one of my females for her check up and he proceeded to tell me she was a he. He then re -examined her and said "oops". Took my other car with a urinary issue and he said I need to buy another cat box. When I said I have 3 already, he replied the same. His bedside manner is awful. Most of the former staff have left. I don't cite the new staff, they're great. The doctor needs to go. Sadly, after 20+ years with City Line, I'm moving on. read more

I can't say enough how amazing the staff at City Lone Pet Clinic is. They've taken care of my fur-baby since day one and I've always felt that they've had her best interest in mind. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a vet that cares for its patients like their own. Today they were able to help my baby out after she accidentally ingested a foreign object. Said they would be closed for the month of February for repairs. Just before they closed I got enough medication to last 45 days. On the 1st of March the message was they will be open on the 18th of March. I called today and they said they hoped to be back the end of March. Meanwhile my dog is now out of medication. We had to make an appt. at another vet and pay for a complete exam to get the meds. We have been going to this place for many years. Dr. Rey was fantastic. Did not call or check with us..it would have been a NO!! our dog is not the same. two days later and his pupils lare still dialated, he has diarrhea and vomiting and lethargic! I went in through the wrong entrance but it felt like a friend explain to me how to go about getting services that day. We loved Dr Rey, and were sad to see him retire, but Dr James is a very cool guy, kind and compassionate, and very much in keeping with the treatment we've been used to. Great service but they don't answer their phones. Yesterday's appointment was at 4:45 but I was second to last to see vet at 5:45. Vet was extremely good and showed me video of dog heart murmur which explained a lot. Costs are reasonable. And they do nail trimming for difficult dogs and cats. read more

Dr. James is so nice and very kind to my little Charlie girl. We were called in within minutes of our checkup/appointment for annual vaccinations and checked out/paid and out the door in 30 minutes from start to finish. This review comes over 1/2 a year late (better than never) but praise and gratitude must be given to Dr. Rey (who is now retired). He literally saved my baby's life. A kitten was thrown in my mom's yard; 3 of his paw pads had been burnt off (probably from the hot pavement). We took him to several (terrible) vets before getting referred here. From the beginning this place was a diamond: the entire staff was friendly but above all, super gentle, loving, and caring towards the patients. Dr. Ray gaveimmediately told us what had to get done to save his paws; with out subjecting the already hurting animal with countless invasive and unnecessary tests like other clinics. The ointment/medications and instructions almost miraculously healed one of the paw pads. The other 2 weren't so lucky; they healed as far as they could and seized to improve (front paw pad was 1/2 way healed, but the back was corroded entirely). It was time for surgery. He was able to do neuter, biopsy the tissue (had Rocky's injuries-yes; he's a fighter-been caused from an autoimmune disease, laser surgery would not be able to be performed) were done at the same time (to avoid putting the cat through surgical stress more than once) and although his injurie's were the cause of an abrasion, Dr. Rey decided to cut and stitch him up himself! Mind you he was still tiny back then (6 months or so). He did SUCH an excellent job. He retired shortly after so I thank God that he put his angelic hands in our path before doing so. If you saw my "son" now, you would have NEVER guessed there had ever been anything wrong with his paws. He jumps, he runs, he bugs...he's happy. Had I not moved counties I would still be a loyal client; trust. The commute is simply tp harsh on him and my older kitty. Much love to his entire staff & thank u all (heart emoji) read more
