    Negligent vet tech
    Mario T.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This veterinary office was completely negligent in treating my beloved pet, and as a result, my dog is no longer with me. The lack of professionalism, care, and competence shown by this clinic is beyond unacceptable. My pet NEVER had any issues or ever treated for a heart condition, but they also showed no remorse for their mistakes. Instead of taking responsibility, they dismissed my concerns and acted as if nothing was wrong. No pet owner should have to go through this kind of heartbreak due to a vet's incompetence. I trusted them with my pet's life, and they failed in every way possible. I would strongly advise anyone who loves their animal to go elsewhere this place does not deserve your business.

I love coming here for my princess. We rescued her and she was in bad shape. Dr Chupeco is amazing and saved her life. He has been her Dr for the last 4 months and has helped restore her health. You can see the progress and just so happy that she is in a good place. Thank you DR

I…read morebrought in my 10 yr old cat Bernie because he was peeing blood and somewhat had no control over it. So they gave me two options and the prices included based off the tests I wanted and didn't want them to do. I chose option B let's say. So that's my decision I made for my pet. The doctor was quite knowledgeable on what he was doing and what he recommended for my cat but again I chose my option. He had a blockage/infection and crystals, which the blockage was also affecting his kidneys. They kept him for 3 days, and called me to come pick him up because he was doing better. He was not peeing blood anymore, but he did have crystals still. Mind you when the nurse gave me Bernie she told us he ate good the first day but the 3rd day he did not and she had to feed it to him. So, a later thought myself and family had was why did they send him home if he was having trouble eating?? On top of that they sent him home with medications, that required being taken WITH food. We brought him home, and he started having breathing issues, almost looked like he was panting. Which we later found out through a phone call with the hospital is that he was breathing fast. With some of the phone calls they said they'd call back but never did except for the last day after letting them know like he wasn't doing ok. They basically sent him home like this. But he was having breathing issues and not eating or drinking water. The first day he was not doing well almost like he could die any second. Second day he was still having the breathing problem but was starting to act normal, moving around and cleaning himself. Still not eating or drinking still but overall acting normal besides those and the breathing. So I call the hospital and send them videos of my cat Bernie and his breathing and they ask me to bring him for a recheck for free because we just brought him home. So they said keep monitoring him and made an appointment for the next day. They did let me call and get updates on him throughout his stay. Next day comes, and it was the worst day of my entire life, I lost my precious cat Bernie. I live less than 5 minutes from the hospital, and in that very short time I lost him. In my mind I thought...what in their right mind would they ask me to bring him (which their policy is to have them in carriers, right?) , and put him in a carrier when he's having these breathing issues and a 10 year old cat. In those minutes in the car, he looked like he was having a seizure going crazy and spitting and foaming at the mouth until the very exact moment we arrived, he just stopped moving and his head went down and I knew right there he passed away. I brought him in and I don't even think they spent 5 minutes or more to help bring him back, and they came and told me they couldn't save him. My heart broke, literally broke because he couldn't even die peacefully, he died suffering. I regret bringing him for that recheck, because he was literally almost normal (besides the breathing) before I put him in that carrier to take him for that recheck. Part of me thinks I should've let them keep him for the 5 days like they said, but they said to pick him up at 3 days cause he was "doing better". But maybe it would've resulted in the same outcome. They never even offered to try and found out how he died, or a guess from a doctor, nothing. Which im sure would've been another payment, on top of the almost 2k payment I already have for him. I'll never know how, other than my guess that he passed from a heart attack because of his age and being in that cage, on top of the breathing issue. I'm thankful they gave me as much time with him to grieve in that moment in seeing him lifeless, and for the paw prints they offered and gave me. But other than that, I just don't see myself ever bringing any animals to this hospital.

It was a very difficult situation as we've viewed Spike as family, but sometimes the behavior becomes unpredictable with age. We really wanted to do this humanely and it was a very uncomfortable situation for us as owners but this hospital made the experience as comfortable and supportive as they could for us and Spike. They have a separate room that was very clean and felt safe, they let us spend as much time as we needed which ended up being a few hours and they were completely okay with letting us say our goodbyes. The procedure was difficult but he went as painless as possible and with me there till his last breath. They even gave me 2 keepsakes of his fur because we couldn't afford the ashes. He wasn't eating, was sleeping excessively, had severe dental pain, and even started having bloody diarrhea. As any pet parent can imagine, I was terrified. From the moment we arrived, Dr. Park and the entire staff treated Rufus with compassion, urgency, and genuine care. They took the time to thoroughly examine him, explain everything clearly, and answer all of my questions without making me feel rushed or pressured. What impressed me most was their honesty and integrity. They focused on what Rufus actually needed rather than recommending unnecessary tests or treatments. After speaking with other hospitals, I truly believe the cost elsewhere could have easily been several times higher. Bewell provided exceptional care at a fair price, which is rare to find these days. Most importantly, they treated Rufus like he was their own pet. That level of kindness and compassion meant the world to me during such a stressful time. To Dr. Park and the entire team: thank you for taking such amazing care of my baby. You turned one of the scariest days into one filled with hope and reassurance. If you're looking for a veterinarian who is knowledgeable, trustworthy, compassionate, and truly puts animals first, I cannot recommend Bewell Animal Hospital highly enough.
