You really can't find 86 cent hot dogs very often these days, and very good hot dogs at that prices are rarer still. This tiny, throw back joint offers both, in the most unpretentious of settings imaginable. Unpretentious to the extent that there is no air conditioning, and there is a screened door at the rear of the restaurant for breeze. Unpretentious to the extent that whether you choose to eat in or take out, you will receive your order in either a brown paper bag or the ubiquitous styrofoam container. Unpretentious to the extent that the warning about consuming raw or undercooked eggs is written by hand on a chalkboard. The menu is tight - a few breakfast sandwiches and plates, and the lunch one is much the same, with a daily special plate or two - and everything on each menu is incredibly inexpensive.. But we came here for the hot dogs, and it was the hot dogs we ordered - one all the way, one without slaw - total bill including tax, $1.84. These are very, very good hot dogs - a respectable wiener, a great gooey bun, and meaty chili, a little on the dry side & and in need of a touch of salt, but full of flavor, the onion are fresh, and the slaw is just right for a hot dog. Some places charge 3 times what these folks do, and still don't get it close. Great cheap eats, and that's often where you find excellent Southern Chili dogs. We did.

    Front door! Great things await.

Livermush. Seriously, they have a dish named Livermush. Two words I've never experienced as one word in relation to food. Apparently similar to Haggis (Dave tried this one) it certainly will provide entertainment. Awesome breakfast and with the Big Boy plate having everything for $4 it's tough to go wrong. Bring cash...an appetite...and a desire for Livermush.

It was okay. Not much open on a Sunday. Gets the job done. Would I go out of my way to come back? Probably not.

Everything. You haven't had a hot dog if you haven't eaten at City Lunch. It's an institute in Lincolnton. Miss it.

Been the best place in town to get hotdogs, since I was a kid. There's nothing like a city lunch, hotdog.

Really appreciate this restaurant and the work they have done for the community. Building is old and a little scary but love the food.

I always get a hotdog all the way and a cheeseburger that is only 10 cents more expensive than a hamburger.

They were so pleasant to speak with, especially Misty. I asked Misty what made them want to open such a lovely little establishment, and she stated it was meant to be and that they love cooking and making others feel welcome. This cafe has been open for one month, so I am glad we were able to enjoy a meal here. Something to note is that we went when they were an hour from closing, so we weren't able to enjoy the homemade potato salad they make or the cowboy potatoes. I ordered one of the signature wraps: SOUTHERN CHARM Baked chicken bacon , caramelized onion, pimento cheese, drizzled with honey Let me tell you, this was truly a flavorful and pleasant wrap. The honey and bacon combination was perfect. I have usually learned not to order pimento cheese on something because many places won't serve it warm, but not here. They had it at the perfect temperature, which added to the wrap's taste. The only thing I would change is that they should cut the wraps in half because 1) it's easier to hold as you start eating, 2) it showcases the inside contents of the wrap, and 3) it will excite customers to see it as it arrives at the table. The side I chose was a homemade pasta salad, and I was delighted at how yummy it was because the vinegar wasn't overly overpowering at all, and the ratio of pasta to all the ingredients was perfect. My husband also opted for a signature wrap: **BOLD BUFFALO** Buffalo-baked chicken , pepper jack, ranch, colby jack, lettuce , and tomato. His side was a side salad . Something really cool is that they make their dressings and sauces in-house. My husband found the wrap to be truly delectable. Their lemonade has free refills, and they have other bottled drinks as well as coffee . I asked for and chose some pumpkin pie because it's that time of year, and goodness, it was so good. All in all, this cafe is truly a gem, and I can't wait to see it flourish. I thank you, Misty and Jake, for the amazing customer service.

First started visiting Biscuitville in their Graham location back in the late '90"s when I was working for another company and we had plant trials right down the street. Back around 2010, driving to Statesville from Cornelius NC, I would occasionally stop at the Biscuitville location in Mooresville and hit the drive through but that location closed years ago. The physical building is not a Zaxby's. Glad they are in Lincolnton because we are over there several times a month and it's only 12 miles away. I love their Pork Chop Biscuit which I've had twice and my wife is a fan of their English Muffins. Looking for a great Biscuit that is light and fluffy, then give this place a try. Biscuits are like what my mother used to make when I was growing up. Great when served hot with just a slab of butter on them.
