He presses something on the computer and hands me a ticket, then tells me I cannot choose my own numbers. Look, I'm not the smartest kid in the world, but I sure as hell know I can pick my own numbers. He looks at me with disgust. Normally, I'm afraid of confrontation, but when someone lies to my face, I'm not afraid to stand up for myself. I realize that me choosing my own numbers means he has to wait for me, and I guess those were minutes of time he didn't want to spare. Once I chose my numbers, I gave him my stub and he ran it through the machine. Then he tells me I chose a Super Lotto stub, not Powerball. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME? So I spent a dollar on something I didn't even want. He was looking at me the whole time and didn't advise me on anything. How can you operate a business but have zero desire to actually look out for the customer? Honestly, I'll probably come back just because I rarely encounter such idiotic situations in this country, and at least it gives my boring life something to feel good about.
