I absolutely love beignets, and at that price there was no way we were walking past. We went inside and ordered six. Since they're made fresh to order, there was a short wait, which was more than worth it. We told the friendly employee behind the counter that we wanted them to go, and when she handed us the bag she smiled and warned us they were piping hot. She wasn't kidding! By the time we got back to our apartment, we couldn't wait another second. They were hot, light, fluffy, and absolutely delicious. We devoured every last one. I only wish we'd had more time to explore the rest of the menu because everything looked tempting. If you're strolling through downtown Moab and have a sweet tooth, Elsie's Old World Delights is a fantastic stop. Fresh beignets, friendly service and one of the best dessert bargains you'll find.
