WORST NAIL EXPERIENCE EVER!!! So, I just recently started working and getting my own money. I decided to get my nails done at a local place, and it was awful. The man who did my nails seemed to have little to no knowledge about doing nails. The salon looked decent not super professional but It was clean, but their was a lot of fly's and at one point he handed me a fly swatter and told me to kill them if I seen them. Then as he was doing my nails he constantly pulled my arms, and had papers over the shield so I couldn't see what he was doing, the first color he put on I didn't like and asked him to remove it he gave me attitude and complained about changing the color, he said it was a hassle. He used dip powder, nail polish dip power as acrylic, and when u got up to wash my hands the first time there was a cat in the room with the pedicure chair. Then back to getting my nails done the man continues to be rough with my hands and such, he get close to the end and my nails were either very weak or super bulky. When I would ask him to Change something he'd seen very frustrated and kinda rude. The actual nails turned out horrible, very bulky and overall ugly. Would not recommend ever to anyone! Do not go here terrible costumer service and when I called back and asked for a refund the man tried to guilt trip me and tell me that if he gave my money back he'd have to cut the nails off, but he continued on to say he tried very hard on my nails and he doesn't do nails like that for just anyone and how he even gave me a discount. I paid 53 dollars for them, they were not worth it AT ALL! The pictures are of how horrible my nails looked and the hair and how cloudy they were, they even had lots of bubbles. Save your money! I don't know where to begin. I absolutely REFUSED to go back to Z Nails in Coshocton due to their HORRIBLE service. So I went outside of where I am located and found City Nails. The smell is overwhelming by the way if you're sensitive to it. I truly believe that the young lady that did my pedicure is not a licensed technician. She didn't have a clue how to work the chairs. She kept getting up and wondering around. At this place my pedicure consisted of: Soak feet in hot water Remove polish BARELY trim nails Very brief salt scrub Took some sort of file thing that looked like an oversize emory board (not the cheese grater looking thing) and did TWO back and forths on each foot. Dried feet and got ready to polish. I refused the polish, told her to never mind. I could only imagine what that would of looked like. There was no cuticle work done. Charged $25 plus tax. I felt lik if I complained there might be an ugly scene so I just left. IN ADDITION: I felt like I had been VIOLATED by the massage chair. I have never sat in a chair that felt like it was punching you in the A&%! I promptly asked them to turn it OFF. read more

The location is pretty sketchy--I almost didn't go in. I was planing on getting a gel mani but ended up with glitter tips. They literally have 300+ different colors and since glitter is my favorite color--I just couldn't resist. $30 for the full set of tips plus $10 to soak off my gel. Granted, the place could use some better more modern decor but it was fast and nice and I would go back if I lived locally (I am here for a few week for work) read more

Visited City Nails while in Newark for business. I wish I had waited until I arrived home! Pedicure was just ok. Salt massage felt great but the gentleman doing the pedicure didn't touch my cuticles and trimmed my toe nails unevenly. The pedicure was the best part of the experience. I needed a fill and two nails repaired. He did not trim down my nail before putting on the new tip. Acrylic was applied too thickly and unevenly. Worst fill I ever had. If you would like a quality experience, I would not recommend going to this establishment. The outside looked a little sketchy when I pulled up, but I decided to go ahead and give it a shot anyway. Big mistake. The inside was dirty and unsightly. I thought about leaving immediately, but again wanted to give them another chance. Another mistake. I only got a gel manicure and it was one of the worst manicures I've ever had. They had me soak my nails in what looked like a dog's tin food bowl full of warm water. They did not have a great selection of gel polish, and the polish job they did was one of the worst I have ever had. I could tell they were reusing buffers and files on me. It was extremely unsanitary. I felt extremely uneasy throughout the entire process. The man who worked there was friendly, however the woman who did my nails did not say a word to me the entire time. She harshly tugged on my hand when she wanted me to move it a certain way. However, the whole manicure was $25, which I believe is on the cheaper side. You get what you pay for I guess. I went to get gel nails last Friday evening and was not happy with the outcome. The outside of the place looked a little sketchy, but I decided to go in anyways. Once I entered, everything told me to leave, but I stayed because I wanted to get my nails done. They have all of the equipment that makes them look like they could be busy, but there wasn't another person there. I've been getting gel nails for months now at a few different placed and I have NEVER had them removed using the nail grinder to remove acrylic nails. The guy doing them said that's the only way to do it, again I stayed and let him continue working on them, but I'm not excited to see what my nails look like when they come off. Their color selection was okay, but he wouldn't show me the gel colors available until after my current gel nails were removed. The finished product from afar doesn't look horrible, but to me, looking at them up close, they look like a child painted my nails! There's polish in my cuticles and the polish in not even across the entire nail. The nail tech was on consistent between both hands, he would remove cuticles a lot on one hand, but not much on the other. The tech (maybe owner of the place) did not seem like he really knew what he was doing. It hasn't even been a week and the gel polish is not holding up. I do not recommend going to this place and I will not be going back. read more
