When voicing how shameful I felt that was, the response included "and who the hell are you." Your customer, duh, a community member who is sickened by that abuse of power and general lack of human decency - I'm standing on the opposite side of the counter, what else am I? When asked her relationship to the woman helping me, she replies "I'm her manager." Next logical step is to ask for her manager He comes up and essentially tells me that their behavior is none of my business. Uh, if it wasn't my business why is it taking place in front of me? So I wait (respectfully) for the lady who was degraded to finish up what she's doing for me when the manager of the place comes up. Where it seems like he's going to be a somewhat decent person he ends up commenting on him waiting for me to start running my mouth. That's the final straw. Talking down on employees and customers. That's disgusting behavior and not at all what anyone would think that shop stands for. John, the owner, needs to address this issue and voice to the community his apologies and methods for implementing healthier work environment. What I witnessed is a nasty, toxic work environment. The lady directly degraded needs and deserves an apology from her manager and the store manager that was on duty. If they don't treat their people good, don't think you as a community member will be shown any more respect.

I enjoy that even though this is a small store, they have a little bit of everything; tools, guns, collectables, CD's, but I am always there for the jewelry. Recently a new employee named Brooke has started. She constantly talks down to me. I'm even overheard her say to other employees that she thought this belongings I had that I was pawning were stolen. I would easily give this pawnshop 4 to 5 stars if it weren't for Brooke. So just a warning to other shoppers going into this pawnshop try to get another employee not Brooke. They guy told us they were 500 gigs and that he'd sell either to us for $60 since they never sell anymore. We bought one, got it home, hooked it up only to find out it was a 4gig hard drive, which doesn't work for us. We took it back and explained that what he sold us was wrong and could we see the other. The other was 256 gigs, so we asked if we could trade. Now realizing the difference, he not only wouldn't let us trade, but said either we pay another 20 dollars or he'd give us a refund but that it would take 10 days to get the money we paid 10 minutes ago back. Completely unethical and shady business practice. When we walked in, he not only didn't know the difference between the two, but also sold us something under false pretenses and charged us more to get what we thought we were buying in the first place. I will never go back for anything, and would highly recommend against anyone else doing business there either.
