Was on my way to Lowe's to make copies of my family's members house keys due to these fires. Saw this place on the corner which was super convenient, and I didn't have to deal with the Empire center! I like fun keys, easy to remember where it goes. He had many to pick from, he had me come inside the hut and chose. It was quick. He even gave me the rings to pair them up and paired up my original keys. He was so reasonably priced. I will definitely come back.

Fantastic. Professional, polite and responsive. I needed my home re-keyed, and Mike did it in about 30 minutes. All of the locks work smoothly now, too, and Mike even fixed a lock that had been broken for years. I've called City One twice now for locksmith services and it was a very positive experience both times. They really came through for me in a tight situation. Somehow I locked the keys in my uhaul, an hour before it needed to be returned. It happened just as I was about to unload everything at my storage unit. The storage lot closed in 45min and I was worried about getting locked in and not being able to return the truck. They initially quoted 30-45min arrival, but when I explained the situation they cut it down to 15-30min. They were there in under 15min and got the keys out in 1 minute. Excellent service! read more

Customer service is dead in Los Angeles across a wide range of industries. "Locksmithing" is apparently not immune. A few months back we had our house rekeyed by City One and realized today how shoddy the work they had done really was. I called them for help and was treated like garbage. If you live in LA and are having issues with your locks, do yourself a favor and find ANY other locksmith. Follow up: Apparently, if you write a bad review of this guy mike, he then starts harassing you by calling you and texting you. Which he did to me immediately. read more

On the day of the appointment, the technician, Paul, was gracious, kind, and actually arrived before I did. He even told me to take my time getting there. He was friendly, professional, and took the time to show me the old battery, explaining the signs that indicated how old it was and why it had been causing problems. He also discussed options for getting an extra key fob in the future and provided me with pricing information so I could have a backup made when I'm ready. Fast, friendly, and professional service -- I couldn't be happier. Later that same night, I went to dinner with a friend who mentioned needing an extra key fob as well. I have recommended people to AMP before since my building has several owners who occasionally get locked out, but I've never once needed to reach out myself personally. Andrew, who is the manager, answered immediately, and then immediately got one of his two top locksmiths out within half an hour - this was after two other Locksmiths who boast excellent response time - Guardian Angel locksmith and FLAMMS Locksmith both in Sherman Oaks - refused and said that they were completely tied up... So much for compassion and loyalty. I got lucky and ended up with NICK who (despite me having a higher end lock that requires more effort than the usual), immediately opened it within two minutes. I know from experience that different locks can take upwards of an hour to crack depending on how complex they're created. I cannot say enough amazing things about this company, the price point was lower than Guardian Angel and FLAMMS, they were communicative, compassionate, and got the job done immediately. (And then... Pray that you get NICK!!) MUST CALL!

Yelp was a great resource and I narrowed down my choices to LA Wifi Guys, as their information gave me the most confidence. Made an appointment and David came out. Really liked his approach. Honest and transparent and not hustling me for upsells. He described my options clearly and it was easy to decide what I wanted. Not cheap, but very fair considering the higher quality solution and more experienced installation. It actually cost notably less than my original set up, which was done 6 years ago and had less features and most of all turned out crappy. David gave me an estimate for parts delivery, which turned out to be exact, and we made the install appointment for the day after. He came in and was very polite, careful and steadfast. He also was great at explaining how to operate my new system. But most of all, weeks after the install, I am sooo happy with it! Really great setup with excellent user interface and excellent camera resolution. I've already shared videos and stills with the neighborhood (as we are having coyote issues), and it was so quick and easy to do. A+++ experience all around! Thank you so much, David!

My gate motor change out did not have to be such a horror show. Began with Sam wanting to install…read moreoutside of my availability. He arrived on my requested day at a time convenient for him and began work. The installation rendered a noisy gate. He justified his work by claiming he spent and additional 1/2 hour trying to quiet the noise. He quickly became angry and threatened to put a lien on my house. He waited for the $2125.00 deposit then texted with many questions and asks. He had one week prior to assess my gate motor situation. The existing reviews lead me to believe Sam knows quality work but, tired of being in the sun, wanted me to accept the noise. He offered to apply WD40 as a fix which I explained that was not a sufficient permanent fix. Unacceptable attitude and terrible customer experience. Update: Sam took an additional 1.5 hours; couldn't fix noise issue. Apologized for his outburst and threat of lein. Offered to: replace defective motor, but needed to take, or take defective motor and refund deposit. Pff, took deposit. I would have appreciated the apology more had it been offered sans excuses. Sam did the right thing in the end but it was a day which didn't have to play out as it did. I now wait for my deposit refund. *took a few days but did receive my refund. In the meantime I had an unsecured gate. Found a reputable company who did not require money up front. They installed a new, perfectly working gate.

Our front door has been slowly failing since we moved in. I can do a lot of work around the house...but not doors. Or painting. I hate painting. I'd rather dig a 10 foot hole in the ground than paint. Sorry. I digress. Ara showed up on the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend and told me what he thought needed to be done. But first he wanted to go to a hardware store (or two) to see if they had the materials necessary. He found them and asked when I wanted him to do the work. I assumed it'd be a week from today, but when I asked if he could do it today he paused, nodded, and said, "Sure." He reconstructed the part of my door jam that had bothered me for 18 years - and made me glad I didn't try to do it myself. AND he did the painting!!! Thank you, Ara! You were great to work with and I'm definitely keeping your contact info!

Called City One and spoke to Mike (the boss man) because I had to re-key the locks of my recently purchased home. I since we hadn't moved in yet and I was not close by I asked if I was able to set up my appointment when I was going to be at the house for several other appointments on the same day to make it easier for myself. Mike said no problem and then asked if I could confirm my phone with him via text. I love via Text and wish I could set up all things that way! Anyway, day of the appointment...Mike reached back out via the phone to make sure I going to be at the house for our appointment which was a nice personal touch you usually don't get. I was on my way there and expecting one of his techs but was surprised to learn that indeed the boss man Mike himself was coming to meet me. Honestly from the first moment Mike and I spoke he was great! And I can't tell you all enough how helpful and patient he was as we walked through the house figuring out exactly how many locks I had to re-key. It also turned out that one of my door locks was broken so he said he could replace it which was wonderful that he had everything right there to fix it. Instead of telling me he had to order it and then let it stay broken until the part arrived and he then had to come back. Anyway, working at a steady speed Mike really took his time to make sure everything was done correctly and easy for me to understand due to the many locks/keys. He even found me a key for my garage lock which was a random lock that I wasn't left a key for at all by the previous owner. Just amazing...the whole experience was wonderful, easy and will totally use him again if I need a locksmith as well as recommend Mike and City One locksmith to anyone who asks. Locked my wife and I out of our house on a Sunday and checked yelp for a locksmith. Found that great reviews for City One so I called and spoke to Mike. Said he would be there in 20 minutes, made it in 15, which we were very grateful for considering how hot it was . Asked how much it would be to unlock the door over the phone and got a reasonable estimate. Turns out we couldn't pick the lock as it was a smart key system so he had to drill it out. Mike informed us that it usually costs a bit more to do this but he would honor the original price he gave us over the phone. Awesome!! Called him a week later to install a smart lock for us, again showed up early which is always much appreciated! He taught us how to use it and made us 2 extra keys (it only came with one) at no extra charge! He was very nice and very knowledgeable. I had my pocket picked at Home Depot. I had a spare key in my wallet. I called my usual locksmith, who was unavailable. He recommended Mike, saying "He's really good." I called City One, made an appointment for the next morning at 9 to rekey all of my locks. Mike was right on time, looked at the scope of the job and got to work. He was very fast and very professional. Additionally, his prices are extremely competitive. After a sleepless night I am relieved that the thief cannot just walk into my home and clean me out. I will never use any other locksmith. Three other locksmiths couldn't (wouldn't?) help me when my front door lock broke inside the mechanism, leaving me unable to open it from either inside or outside. This is not your ordinary lock, but a complicated, high security lock that no other locksmith seemed to want to touch. Then I called Mike. He came immediately, wrestled the door open without leaving a mark, wrestled the entire lock out of the door, took it for repair, and returned and replaced it all within a matter of just a few hours. It was a super happy ending to a super stressful situation. Mike's the best, call him! read more

Here's a tip: If your exterior door doorknob is old and not behaving properly, change the doorknob before it comes apart and not only can you not get in, you can't get out, either. Literally, the doorknob came off and key pieces inside were disintegrated. We were able to find a screwdriver to remove the components so we could at least open the door. I called City One, and Mike came over within a very reasonable time, installed a new doorknob, re-keyed it to match it to the deadbolt, and provided me with the number of keys we needed. Very nice guy who knows what he's doing. I recommend him and would call him again. read more

Mike answered the phone on a Sunday morning and offered to come out same day, to my relief. He asked questions while we were on the phone prior to meeting me, then arrived promptly at our appointed meeting time, and performed the rekeying work in a clean, expeditious, and professional manner. He worked in a distanced fashion for safety reasons, and when he was done, returned to the door and presented the keys for me to test. These guys are the BEST! I have used them before, and left a review, but this time went above and beyond! Robert was fantastic. I brought in a tricky combination lock to get re-keyed and Robert was very professional. He wanted to make sure it was done right, so instead of waiting for it, he asked me to leave it with him and he would call me when it was finished. Sure enough 30 minutes later Robert called me to come by and pick it up. I brought it home, installed it and it works like a charm. He also made 2 extra keys for me! Highly recommend this locksmith. I selected City One based on their high yelp scores and was was thrilled with the very professional service. Mike showed up in 10 minutes from the time I called. I was in my "Locked-out" house in just 5 minutes, with no damage to my door locks. Great service!
